Our family has transitioned to the Maple Grove location due to frequent errors across our families multiple vehicles. The manager did provide $0 service recently due to a mix up. They mean well, and I do appreciate that. In the last couple years they've lost a lot of their talented mechanics. For example-- They can no longer work on BMW's and other foreign cars at this location. read more

I had a missing lug nut along with several new ones, they tightened all of them up and even gave me a new lug nut to replace the missing one and didn't charge me anything. the staff was super nice and helpful and even offered me and my buddies some coffee. read more

I made an appointment to have my low beam headlight replaced. I brought my car in at my appointment time. They looked up in their system for the bulb they needed and were out. Joe got on the phone and called another dealer and they brought one over in a matter of minutes. I was in and out in 1/2 hour. I also asked Joe to give me a price on tires, brakes, rotors, which came in around $900 cheaper then another shop. Thanks Joe for the great customer service! read more

Made the mistake of attempting to use CarAdvise here. The whole point of CarAdvise is you pay them ahead of time for discounted services. Great in theory, but this shop had no idea what they were doing and decided to blame their corporate office for that. They tried to hold our keys hostage until we paid them directly (paying twice, essentially). They finally figured it out, we got the keys and left. I got home and found they went in and approved the service themselves a second time, adding in a new service that I did not approve, charging us $24 more dollars than what we had already paid. No idea if they actually did the service, a "visual inspection"--does that mean they just looked at my car and said yep, all good, and then gave themselves $24 extra of my money? No clue. Will not be returning, clearly. read more

My feelings are mixed here. Recent reviews suggested that this location was starting to do better than they used to. I went in for a Complete Vehicle Inspection deal they had going which included a tire rotation. The most immediate alarm was that no tire rotation was completed as they made no mention of my single rear tire that cannot be rotated due to it being a newer replacement. My inspection paperwork also came back saying all four of my tires are in excellent condition when three of them are almost out of tread. In a sad twist I wanted the inspection to check the integrity of my shocks and springs. I never expected that to mean they would blow off the rest of the inspection. At least the technician that let me directly inspect the condition of my car with him was nice and easy to talk to. read more

Took my car in for a 1:00 appt to get 4 new tires. I got there promptly on time. I was told they were running behind and it would take 2 hours. Fine. I sat and read. 2 hours later....nothing. 3 hours later. nothing. 4 hours later it was finally done. During that time no one ever approached me and said it was taking longer. No one ever came and told me how the alignment check was. No body apologized for the delay. When finally getting my car back and paying for it I had to inquire about the alignment. So now it's late and dark and I just want to get home. Next morning I notice they never put my hubcaps back on. So now I have to take MORE time out of my day to go get them back on. So unprofessional. And bad bad scheduling of appointments. Will NEVER go there again or recommend it to anyone I know. read more

We've been bringing our two chryslers here for about 8 years - I've always felt like I was been dealt with honestly, although not being a mechanic I can't comment on what the struts actually do or whether they should need to be replaced (see earlier Yelper). Generally, my opinion and expectations of any kind of car maintenance or repair is low. However, I've always found the staff here to be respectful and easy to deal with, and we've had all kinds of things fixed over the years, from the usual tires and brakes, to fairly substantial replacement framing. I've also found - and it may be because we've been coming there a while - that they can be negotiated with if you have work outside of warranty or something else. read more

Horrible. About a year ago, I went to Firestone for a major break repair. When I was finished there the guy gave me a list of things I "needed" to do to my car that added up to nearly $10,000. My car is a 2008 so I thought this was a little ridiculous. One thing I "had to get done ASAP" was replace my serpentine belt for about $2,000. Well, I brought this list to a local place where I get my oil changes and asked about the belt. He check three places to get a price and even went out to my car, only to confirm the serpentine belt did not exist in my car. I can't imagine if I brought my car to Firestone for this service, they probably would have charged me without even doing anything. The guy who gave me the list of services "I had to get done" had some great sales techniques to take advantage of a girl who doesn't know much about cars. Stay local, this place will just suck your money for crappy service. read more

This location has been improving tremendously. I feel as though corporate is really kicking things into gear at this location. Whenever the team recommends something they explain what is important and what can wait opposed to other shops that will just goudge you for your money without prioritizing things. Craig and Chris the two Master technicians are so amazing and consistent / timely and efficient. OVERALL the staff just CARE which is rare to find. 10/5/2016 Stopped in to have a slow leak in a tire that I bought at firestone Eden Prairie service center . They broke the valve core off while checking for the leak in the tire sending unit . It leaked about 3 to 4 weeks until the sending unit would light up . they claimed it had to be replaced for $85 , way more that It worth by a bunch . They Did Not mention that they broke it . I took the broken part to another tire store to have them tell me there opinion . The battery in the old unit is still good but It has a broken core ,sheared off . They charged me $4 for a new valve stem and had me sign that they were not responsible for having the tire indicator light being on . Now I have a tire that is not balanced . If I were you I would I would think thrice before I brought even a tricycle in to have them even look at it . read more

Been a loyal customer of this Firestone for years. Have had enough of the dishonesty. They make all issues seem dire. Luckily I've gotten second opinions that have stood true. They also have misquoted me multiple times. Stating a repair that NEEDS to be performed and the cost, and then when I come back to pick up the vehicle it's $100 more than previously stated. Beware of unethical business practices that are solely out to make them money. Will be searching for a new mechanic I can trust. read more

Took my SUV there to get the tires rotated. They said they would do a complimentary check on other areas of the vehicle. After 40 minutes, I get a phone call from the technician, she told me my tires were cupping and I needed realignment, new struts, my back brakes were bad and needed to be replaced. She said it would be $856 (just for struts and realignment) did I want to get it done now. I told her not now, just rotate the tires. A week later I took it to a trusted mechanic who does nothing but alignments. He said, the only thing wrong with the truck was I had defective tires, they needed to be replaced. There was nothing wrong with the struts the alignment was on point and, he said the brake pads were fine. Do yourself a favor and avoid this center. BTW, went back to the place I originally bought my tires from and they were found to be defective. I got new tires with a great discount! read more

Went there for new front tires on my van. Told them mw and my wife with our 2 year old will be in the mall while they put on the tires. 1.5 hrs later I walk back across the parking lot to see if they where done, and they weren't. I checked in the garage door to if the van was on the lift, and it wasn't. So I went back to the mall for a while and came back 1 hr later and asked at the counter if it was done. They said the lug nuts broke and they had to find new ones locally because they had none and it would be a while. They wanted me to pay an additional $150 for them to install the bolts, and I said no, I would install them myself because I had tools in the van. They said they would just do it, but I would have to pay for the parts they broke. To get this experience over with I agreed to pay for the bolts. 1 more hour later the finally called and the vehicle was done. Overall it took them almost 4 hrs to put 2 tires on my van, and to make matters worst my cruise control stop working that same day. Took me a while to figure it out, but the communication wires got unhooked somehow (worked fine before). My van also started using oil and got bad gas mileage after this. The transmission is also out now, but don't think they had anything to do with that. I think these guys where mad because I would not pay $150 for the lug nuts they broke on my van. Seems to me like they had plenty of lug nuts in that shop. read more

I'm a loyal Firestone customer. Except to this location. They always find something wrong with my vehicle, costing me at least $500. Many of the recommendations they make to fix my vehicle seem fake. They told me I had a leak in my coolant line, yet the coolant level never went down after checking under the hood on a weekly basis. Find another Firestone location to go to. read more

This store is horrible and I do not think people should pay them a visit. I first had a tire rotation last November and after a week had to go back because of frozen caliper on one rear wheel. It turned out I had to replace both calipers. The guy work on it did not seem to know what he was doing, and I ended up with a car with a floppy loose emergency brake. When asked for services, he said he did not do anything other than put the stuff back on. When I talked with the manager to adjusted the E-brake, he said it was not necessary and he would never recommend people to waste money on that. He tried to fool me and also said that he could adjusted the brake for 60 dollars and that was 40 dollars of the original price. That same work will cost only 45 bucks in an expensive Honda dealer. As I was told, firestone has the responsibility to put everything back and do necessary brake adjustment during the repair. I don't think that I am the only one treated like this there. read more

All of the mechanics are young and unexperienced. It would be helpful if they supervised by some experienced professional(s). Spend a lot of money. But, I see that nobody even topped off a steering fluid. It tells me that these guys are not paying attention to a details and do not care over all quality of service. read more

This Firestone is the epitome of dirt bag mechanics. I took my vehicle in for a routine oil change since this was a convenient location for me. When there, the first gentleman I worked with was very nice, but tried to sell me on every little thing he could. I sat through his pitch, and politely declined. He offered their credit card (which he swore up and down was not a credit card and would not pull my credit to apply). After I declined, I left the vehicle there and went back to work. About an hour later I received a call from them stating that I needed new tires because one had a nail in it, my battery needed replaced, I needed a new air filter, struts, shocks and my wind shield wipers were also "streaky" and needed replaced. I told them to go ahead and repair the tire with a nail in it, but that I would pass on the rest. Twenty minutes later, the guy calls me again and tells me that in order to turn off the light indicator on my vehicle that shows low tire pressure, they needed to do some in-depth process that would cost me $10. I again declined, as I knew this was incorrect. Any time my tire pressure has been low in the past, I just filled the tires with air, and once I started driving, the light would turn off because the car reads that the pressure is fine again. Even after I declined, he kept telling me that the light wouldn't turn off unless they did this process that was going to cost me $10. I then went to get my vehicle, paid the $60 for the oil change and tire repair and left. After I left, just as I knew, the tire pressure light went off. If you do not know a lot about vehicles, or enough to know what you do, or do not need, do not go here. You will spend a lot of money for unnecessary repairs. They sent the quote home with me for all the items that were "in serious need of repair"- the total would have been $1,747.66. read more
