He called Discount Tire for me to see if they carry my size in stock - I have a small sedan - and they did. This was right around 5:30 pm. I was stressed about the time since Discount Tire closes at 6:00 pm. When I finally got to Discount Tire around 5:45 pm I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming attitude of every employee I encountered ... I expected them to be bummed and maybe not have a great attitude that a person (me) showed up so late, right before closing. It was a great experience and I am so appreciative that they not only got me back on the road but did it with a professional and uber courteous manner. To the owner - whoever is in charge of your hiring, keep them. Your staff is wonderful. Every young face was friendly, professional and had a great attitude. Instead of thinking, "Hey, this is a red flag, maybe we should break down the tire and check if it's good," they just kept chasing it. I took the car home. Mind you, this is my lady's car, not mine. She gets on the highway and tells me she feels a rattle going past 50 mph. I take the car for a spin and feel the exact same thing. I take it back to these guys and tell them, "Hey, I noticed you have over 14 quarter-ounce weights on the front of a Mazda 3. This is a small car; that is completely out of the ordinary." They ended up doing it the "right way" and got the balancing done. I took it back on the highway, and it wasn't rattling anymore. Cool problem solved. Look, accidents and mistakes happen. When you're working out in the field in the Nevada summer, I understand people get tired, lazy, and have customers coming in non-stop. However, a couple of days after they fixed that little inconvenience, I took the car for another spin and noticed a new creaking noise. The car has fewer than 30,000 miles on it and is only two to three years old. So, I finally decided to bring it over to the Discount Tire on Sunset Road. These guys are the best; they actually know what they're doing. They aren't just a bunch of Joes--they're all in sync and know exactly what's going on. Immediately after I brought the car in, their technician checked it out and pointed out that the weights from the other shop were hanging out of the wheel instead of being placed on the inside. Now, that wasn't the cause of the creaking noise I was hearing, but the fact that another technician could immediately point out such unprofessional workmanship says it all. The quality of work at the Mark Street location is just incredibly poor. If I were you, I would take your money and bring it over to Discount Tire on Sunset. These guys know what's up, they don't waste your time, they tell it to you straight, and they will actually address any issues with you. They don't have junior apprentices or random Joes working on your vehicle. I don't know what is going on over at Mark Street, but they seriously need to get their technicians recertified. Taking two extra days just to get a full set of tires balanced and aligned is ridiculous. It should have been done right the first time. This is basic, standard work. I was having a slight vibration at speed and another tire shop couldn't and really didn't care to rectify it so I made an appointment at Discount tire. I arrived 10 mins early and had to wait about 5 mins to be helped. Once I was helped the service was spot on, I explained the situation and what service I would like and they were happy to accommodate me. I was in and out in 40 mins and the problem was solved. We were able to get a brand new set of tires installed in less than two hours! I will never go to another Discount Tire ever. This place used scare tactics on my son to try to get him to buy 4 new tires when he went in for a simple flat repair. His tires are only 4 years old. The flat repair was a small nail in the center of the tread and they told him they could not repair it due to where the nail was located in the tire and that if he drove away it was very dangerous! What a bunch of bull! All they care about is selling new tires and making money. I had him leave and meet me down at the local tire shop who repaired the flat for $20 and we will go back to them when he does need new tires. Shame on you Discount Tire, what a joke! read more

I have had great experiences with this store on Marks ST, they help with tire pressure when you need to fill up or are running low, and one of the most amazing helpful services they offer is free flat, or patch repair. I ordered tires online - prepaid - had my wife take my 2500 Yukon XL over there - tires are great - BUT - I told them you have to check the tire pressure - the factory recommendations are 50 in the front and 80 in the back - I pull a trailer it will be unsafe if you don't get this correct - guess what a complete miss - tires are 50/50 - pay attention!! I don't often drive at highway speeds anymore, but on the few times that I've driven 65-70 mph since having Discount Tire install new Motegi wheels, I've noticed a slight shimmy. I initially thought it might just be the road, but I've since found out that Discount Tire failed to install the required hub centric rings that ensure that the wheels are centered on the hubs. Came in for a tire rotation that comes free when you purchase tires from them. Angel on of the reps looked up my records see if I was in the system which I was. Right away he told me I can't rotate my tires because it's staggered and no benefit from rotate. I said, I know it's staggered and wanted to rotate it side to side. Gave me attitude and said well you have to wait for an hour. I don't really know whats the fuzz.Tire rotation comes FREE with the purchase. I spent $1500 on tires and what I get is attitude from this guy Angel. I guess next time I need to change my tires I would go somewhere else. My brother brought his car here to patch a puncture. He didn't get the employee's name but it was an asian gentleman who claimed that the tire was too worn to patch. Discount tire refuses to patch a tire when it's worn to 4/32" of tread depth, but the tire was definitely not at that point (see picture). The employee refused to patch the tire and said the best he could do was to pump air into it and started giving options for buying a new tire. I told my brother to hold off and to go to another Discount Tire a couple miles away, where they said the tread depth was 6/32" and they patched the tire! This location has lost my trust and I would advise whoever comes to this Discount Tire, to be extra cautious and to get a second opinion before falling for these tactics. read more

I went here to replace my tires. I noticed a lug nut cap missing after the service. The manager said they would order a replacement, and I would receive a follow-up within a week. I called to follow up because I never received an update after 2 weeks. Come to find out, the order eas never placed, and they had to order the part.
