Over the years, I'd come to know the guys at the counter well and they had built up some trust with me. For this recent service, I had obtained a quote from a local dealership of $460. I typically would go to Bunge's to avoid paying "dealer" prices. When I told the man at the counter the dealership price, he said that he'd match that price. In the end, the total cost of the service came in at $451 (just below the dealership cost). I'm thrilled that they matched the dealer price and I was able to support a local independent business. They even gave me a ride home after I dropped off my car.

Again, I arrived and after about 15 minutes I was told that a technician had put the transmission fluid ordered for me into another car. I was also told that if I rescheduled yet again, I would get a discount. Today was supposed to be the 3rd appointment and I called to ensure they had everything they needed and we would not have a repeat of the earlier issues. I was told they had everything. When I inquired about the discount, they told me they were already taking a loss on the transmission fluid and the best they could offer me was 10% off.
