I came by Discount Tire to order tires, they were able to provide me with match price as well as manufacture discount for the treads. They informed me the tires would need to be ordered. I put a deposit down and made an appointment 2 weeks out. I had to change my appointment this morning due to other obligations, but found out I had a flat tire. Guess the world really wanted me to have my tires changed today. I called and told the associate I had an appointment, but found out I had a flat. They said they did not have any appointment slots available, but would be able to squeeze me in when I mentioned the flat tire. I came within 15 minutes of my phone call and it was already 3pm. They close at 5pm. The store was full of customers and the bay was filled with cars. Tim, the manager, greeted me and was of great help. He was able to put me on the schedule, but did say it could take 3 hours. I planned to be in the area anyways and had no problems with waiting as they're doing me a huge favor. I didn't receive a call that my care was ready so I came back around 4:45pm, but my tires weren't replaced yet. No worries. It's cold outside, but they're working overtime as I type this review and still helping a bunch of people replace their tires. I also informed Tim that I was hoping to get my sensors replaced, but was willing to come back during my appointment time next week. He said that it would only take a few minutes and would not be an issue. The staff members are working diligently to help all the customers and I appreciate it! Great customer service and everyone is super friendly and helpful! read more

Not a perfect experience. I made an appointment online to get four new tires. I arrived about 5 minutes late but they were ready for me. The employees were friendly. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and taken care of. The store was clean. I liked that there was a window so the customers can see into the garage/work area, just a nice perk. Even though there were several people in line I got to jump ahead, since I had a reservation. It took about 30 minutes to get my tires changed. During that time, I was informed that one of the lugs, the bolts that hold the tire on, was broken and would have to be replaced and one of the lug-nuts was the wrong size. They also had trouble removing one of the screws from the lug-cover as the screw was stripped. When I got the final bill they informed me that they wouldn't charge me for the replacement lugs/nuts and that they didn't have any of the screws that matched the one taken out of the lug-cover but it is a common screw and cost me $0.33 to replace at a hardware store. I liked that they looked at me when they talked and they were straightforward. They didn't try to get me to buy extra services or equipment or any "upgrades". The only gripe: the tires I specified when I made the online reservation were not available when I arrived despite the website saying they were in-stock. They gave me a similar tire for the same price and offered me a discount on the tire replacement plan. The manager did try to call me about two hours before the appointment to let me know but I couldn't answer my phone. I called back about a half hour before the appointment but the manager was at lunch so I didn't know about the tire issue until I got to the store. I would recommend this store for tires. They had the cheapest price ($300 for a set of 4 mid-range quality, 15" tires). They were friendly and fast. High quality, low price. The online reservation is very convenient but please call to verify, after you make the appointment, that they have the tires before you drive in. read more

Bought new tires about two weeks ago - very quick service. Noticed my tire pressure light came on but I got stuck at the office and didn't get to discount tire until 10 minutes before closing. They offered to check my tire pressure and advised that I make an appointment for the next day - totally fine since I came in at the last minute. The representative changed his mind and said that he would go ahead and fix it for me right then! Really appreciate how much they care about their customers. Won't go anywhere else for tires. read more

I needed new tires for my car Bc a nail messed mine up pretty badly. I checked on yelp and noticed they closed at 6 but I decided to call and ask when they would accept a last walk in. It was around 5:20 when I called and I was at the dealer getting my car serviced. I told the guy I spoke with over the phone that I needed new tires badly but I understand if it's too late for a walk in. He assured me that it wasn't too late and that as long as I got there before 6 that they could get me in. I then told him that I was 20 minutes away and if he was sure it wouldn't be too late. Again, his reply was "It's ok, it's not a problem a all." So after rushing and trying to get there in time, I was told at the door that they were too busy to get me in today....umm... you couldn't have told me that over the phone when I called? I totally understand if it was close to closing time and you wanted to go home but don't waste your customers time telling them to make the 20 minute drive when you don't want to stay late then turning them down before they stepped through the doors. It wasn't like I was being pushy over the phone and wouldn't take no for an answer...come on discount tires...do better. I'll just take my business somewhere else. read more

I absolutely love this place. The people here are amazing. I had a nail embedded in my tire that was irreparable. I just walked in and they took me in. Took about an hour to replace 2 of my back tires. And the price is very reasonable along with the service charges to replace it. LOOK FOR TIM! He is great! He's amazing!! Very professional and kind. And very willing to help! read more

My tire had a leak and I was worried it would be too big to patch. I believe it was the manager who was working out front - he saw to me right away, and assured me they would be able to handle it. He was so kind to me and so kind to every other person who walked in the door while I was there. They had my car in and out with the patched tire re-attached to my car in 20 minutes. I couldn't have asked for better service and will be returning! read more

Discount Tire - Tires Near Me - Duluth, Georgia

I would not recommend this place to anyone, solely based on the fact that they damaged my husband's car while replacing a tired and forced him to go to Bui's Auto Shop to get it replaced. Please read my review for Bui's for more details but it was an awful experience and I would never want to go back there. Get your tires serviced somewhere that doesn't force you to go to Bui's if they damage your car. read more

Discount Tire - Tires Near Me - Duluth, Georgia

Ryan was so accommodating and the best customer service I've experienced in a while. If you ever have issues with your tires or need new ones come to this spot! They go above and beyond for their customers and Chiemeka was very informative and gave me a detailed summary of the issue with my tire! Thanks again for making my experience wonderful! read more

I went to Discount Tire because I had a flat, but I was also due for a new set of tires anyways. Overall I am pleased with their service. I shopped around before and knew what prices were elsewhere. I told them the best price and Discount Tire matched that price. So I left pretty pleased with the service and price. I had only replaced two tires. The flat one and one other bald tire ...or so I thought. The next morning, I came out to a flat tire again. They replaced the wrong one; they left the bad tire and replaced two others. So I went back to complain and they made it right by giving me a new tire for free. Very profession, courteous, and customer service oriented! I will be back! read more

Like many others on this forum, I did not have good experience with this store at Steve Reynolds Blvd, Duluth, next to Kroger. I did purchase a full set of new tires for my minivan from this store in July, 2011. Some positive experience listed first: - The front desk sales personnel were polite. - Quick 20-minute installation. - Clean store with free bottled water and coffee. - Free lifetime rotation . The negatives: - The salesperson (Tim) is high-pressure seller. I was looking for Goodyears tires with $80 mail-in-rebate but the salesperson kept pushing the Yokohama tires to me which are more expensive ($140 vs $148). Tim insisted they do not have GoodYear in stock but Yokomana. Since I need to replace the tires desperately for my long weekend road trip, I went for Yokohama. - This was the main and most annoying part of the selling process. They would auto-place extended warranty ($80) as well as new TPMS kits ($30) as part of orders. So if you do not review the invoice properly, you would not find out that out. Once I questioned those items, they kept pushing to sell these items with some extreme demo shown to you. I think DT makes big chunk of money from these kits and extended warranty. That was a bit sneaky on their side. So you need to watch up what they put in the invoice. By the way, the extended warranty covers only 3 years and only damages on certain area of the tires. - During the installation, I double check with the lead technician if they put recommend 35PSI on my new tires. The lead technician did find out the installation technician put less PSI in the tires and finally the lead had to re-air the tires. It would not harm to stand by the working bay and put a good eyes on those technicians. - In the following week, I found out NTB offered better price on the Yokohoma AVID TRZ tires ($132 vs $148) with less installation charges too so I went back to the same store for price match. This time, the manager Chris insists their package is better than NTB because of the value DT provides such as doing it right with new TPMS kit, life time rotation, mail-in-rebate, etc. He just did not want to honor the price match even after calling NTB to confirm their tire price and each tire costs less in NTB than DT. I ends up getting very upset about his arguments and asked for a refund of my extended warranty purchase. By the way, I thought the price match is corporate policy and just did not see the manager Chris presenting a goodwill to work with him in this or did not see the willingness from him to honor their corporate policy. I would NOT do business again at this location as well as recommend this particular store. In my opinion, these salespersons/managers do NOT treat customer with fairness and honesty, and simply looks to pushing up the sales without integrity. For other after sale services like the tire rotation, I would do them at other DT stores like in Roswell. Please do not come to this Duluth store at Steve Reynolds Blvd. If you are look for good tires, look other DT stores or mechants like NTB/BJ/Costco. read more

I have been to this Discount Tire 4 times now, and the service is great every time. Had an appointment for 1:30pm. Arrived promptly at 1:30; was greeted nicely at my car. Friendly staff. I was given a time that my car would be ready. 2:45; at the latest. At 3:15, it still wasn't ready, so I asked when would my car actually be ready. I was told they were "backing it out right now". 3 minutes later, tire mounting was complete. Really? This appointment was for 2 tires, mounted and balanced. I had an appointment. It really shouldn't take 1:45 to mount 2 tires. Did I mention I had an appointment? read more

This was the 7th car shop I called (because it's not super close to me), but I'm glad I did because they were the friendliest and cheapest, and I also felt like they would guarantee / stand by their work more than other shops. My TPMS installation was $15 out the door (as compared to $20-60 elsewhere). They'll be the FIRST place I call for car needs in the future. read more

I was really hopefully optimistic I had found the perfect deal, but I should have known it was too good to be true. I had spoken to both Oscar and Tim over the phone and was specifically told that not only they would price match, they would also still honor the $70 promotional offer with the purchase of 4 new Michelin tires. When I arrived, and after an invoice was created, the quoted price was far different (almost $60 not including tax) from the price and discounts I was told I would receive over the phone. I wish phone calls were recorded so that I could have had proof of the quote I received other than the sheet of paper I was writing on. I was told they would honor both the price matching and still receive the promotional offer for Michelin and that "they'd take care of it." The workers here seem really nice, but likely require additional training on promotional offers. I totally Iberians promotional offers can't be combined, I wish they could have still honored the price offered since it was their mistake. Just be very careful when agreeing to purchase from here, as the "out the door" price quoted might not always be the "out the door" price charged. Besides the poor customer service, the facility is clean and spacious. They offer free water bottles and coffee just like other places. There is no Wi-Fi, but you get to watch your car in the shop which is nice. It's definitely comforting to watch your car & make sure things are done properly. I would have given this place 5 stars had they at least acknowledged their mistake, but they denied it completely. They are really nice & friendly which is why it's hard for me to give them only 1 star. I just feel like they could have done better especially since I was misquoted. read more

Lately I've been writing a lot of reviews on Automotive, that's because I dedicated an entire weekend to my car (she needed basic maintenance and tires). Remember, if you take care of your car, your car will take care of you. My car was in need of new tires, so I decided to get them all replaced at the same time. I know getting a new set of tires can be expensive especially if you're purchasing brand name tires. I did my homework on what tires I needed for my car, so I called up a friend (who's in the Automotive Industry) and found exactly what I needed as well as where to go---Discount Tire. Since my cars staggered fit, I knew that my tires needed to be special ordered but I didn't know how long it would take. When I looked online at Discounttire.com, it was as I suspected they didn't have my tires in stock. So I called Discount Tire, put down $20.00 and was told they would call me as soon as they came in. Next morning I got a call from them at 8AM and informed they had my tires ready---hella fast. What's really cool about Discount Tire is they check everything for you, down to your rims (there's no point in getting new tires if you have bent rims). Usually the installation process should take 15-30mins on average, but the process took about an hour; it was quite the busy Saturday (so I can understand). The place was clean, they didn't have TV or wifi, luckily I had games on my phone to kill time. What's cool (to me at least) is they have seats where you can see the bay. I like looking at what's being done to my car (that's just a personal choice). After my car was done, they checked me about, got my rebate, and was on my way. Overall Good. read more

For the past several years, I've only purchased tires from Discount Tires, and until now, I have not had any issues. The last few visits of getting my tires rotated have required an extended wait. I always make appointments to minimize the wait time. At this store, appointments are not recognized. During this experience with Discount Tires, I made an appointment and arrived 30 minutes prior to the appointment time and was told that my wait would be an hour and half. I had assumed the wait would have been more like an hour since I arrived early. Unfortunately, I could not wait. I returned a week and half later without an appointment and was told my wait would be an hour and 45 minutes. Since I didn't have an appointment, I sat down and waited. During my wait, a gentleman with a nail in his tire arrived, and his car was pulled to the back within 10 minutes. But I was told the wait was an hour and 45 minutes. I retrieved my keys and explained to service person (Alexxis) why I was leaving. All he gave was a half-hearted apology. It was my impression that because I only needed my tires rotated I was not a priority. The best service received from this location is only when you're making a purchase. Unfortunately, this experience has spoiled my desire to do business with any Discount Tire store in the future. read more

Service was good and short. Was in and out in less than 1.5 hours for 4 tires though i went in for rotation and balance and it turned out my tires were bad enough that I had to change all 4. They showed me the proof. Only issue with me is it appeared the sales guy was a tadbit pushy in trying to keep me there to make the decision on the tires. I suggest call around on pricing before dropping in for a rotation and leaving with what it turns out you need - new tires. read more

i like this place. not saying they're perfect by any means, but my service is always quick and efficient. i bought my tires from there some time ago, so i always go here to get the pressure checked or rotated for free. i have the certificates as well, so that if the tire gets punctured or something happens and it cannot be repaired, they replace the tire. this happened, so i didn't get the certificates in vain. also, since i had to buy my other tire (that replaced the punctured one) at a different place (discount tire's not open on sundays), they transferred the certification to my tire bought from the other store. i'll keep going there. read more
