I've been using this location since they moved from their Lillian Miller location. One advice when using Discount Tire is to make sure to have an appointment. Sometimes they can get really busy and don't have time to take care of walk-ins right away. It's nice for free tire rotation whenever I purchase new tires from them. I went to Discount Tire to get my tires changed about five months ago. My Lexus wheels require a locking lug nut key, which I provided when they did the service. Fast forward to today when I needed to remove a wheel--my key was gone. When I went back, the staff admitted they threw away my lock key and then casually offered to "happily order me a new one"... at my expense. Excuse me? You lose my property and then expect me to pay to fix your mistake? Absolutely unacceptable. A shop that handles something as important as wheels and tires should take basic care of their customers' property. Instead, I'm left stranded and out of pocket because of their negligence. Absolutely Great Customer Service from Cody! I had a flat tire on the way home from Norman, Oklahoma around midnight. The tow truck came out and put a doughnut on and also informed me that my other rear tire was in bad shape as well. I pulled into discount tire about 6 AM that morning and waited for them to open. Cody came out, greeted me, took all of my information and started to look for me a set of tires for my car. Unfortunately, they did not have the Michelin tires that were previously on the car in stock so he found me a comparable match. The match were not in stock at their store. Cody made a few calls to the surrounding stores and found a set of tires that would fit my vehicle. He took his personal vehicle and traveled to Flower Mound to pick up the tires for my car brought them back and install them. The entire transaction took less than an hour and a half. Was there at 7:40, 20 minutes before open and was second in line at the door. Watched thirty cars go in and out for as small as tire rotations and wouldn't do my vehicle. If you want to waste time this is the place to go. Was told I'd be in by time frames that weren't met. Was told so much garbage it was a complete waste of my morning at about 9:30 I left and am now writing this review. Do not go to this one. When you take the time to order tires online, pay for them, make an appointment and then show up on time for the appointment, you shouldn't have to stand in line 5 people deep while they are helping people decide on tires while looking at all the different options. Then when someone does become available, they answer the phone and then help those people find tires while people are standing in line 15-20 minutes. They should have one of the kiosks designated for online orders, drop-offs and pickups. Then have a person designated to helping people that have taken the time online, so they don't have to waste time in the store. If you drop your vehicle off and then come back you have to stand in the same 5 people deep line just to pick up your vehicle. Their whole system needs to be overhauled. A self-service kiosk to check-in and drop keys would be a welcome addition. What really got to me is them answering the phone over and over and helping those people while we are just standing there waiting. I have used them for years but not sure if I will go back anymore. Very slow service. We came in there were two people ahead of us. We bought tires here last year and came to get a rotation. After an hour and a half the chairs are all filled and still the car was sitting there. I complained and it is in now. Discount tire recommended me the WRONG tire and it messed up my alignment on my car. Don't recommend. They also BENT my wheel during service and blamed me. I've already reviewed this location but apparently there are two pages and this one is the claimed page. So most of what I have to say is the same, although my latest visit was during COVID19. I came by on a Monday at 4:30pm without an appointment and I knew this was not ideal, but I was juggling a few too many things to be able to guarantee I could make an appointment and with my commute I was lucky to be able to do this at all. This was my first visit to any of their locations since the pandemic and I saw them forming a line at the beginning of the driveway to check people in. They got my name and what I needed and directed me to park. It's difficult for them to social distance with the wind being a bit loud, but they were wearing masks. Maybe about 20 minutes later I was checked on, they checked my tire pressure and mileage and gave me the opportunity to stay in my car or go to the waiting room. I chose to go to the waiting room where the AC was working extremely well! They had redone the waiting room where every seat was social distanced and that put 5 seats outside, there were markings on the floor and they were no longer offering bottled water. They have plexi glass up directly in front of the registers but I noticed while the layout promoted social distancing among the customers that the customers were subconsciously doing their best to close the gap with the employees. Considering the entire waiting room was packed and there were several people outside, I consider myself lucky that this whole thing only took about an hour and fifteen minutes. I normally come first thing on a Saturday and am usually out of there in half an hour or less, with or without an appointment. Though I would say if you need to replace all your tires, an appointment is necessary. Location wise this is easy to get to on the corner of University and I35. Even better, it's easy to exit as you can exit onto the access road or you can take advantage of the linked driveway between businesses and exit onto University from the gas station. I really thought the staff was doing a good job juggling the crowd and were giving good service. As I said in my review from the other page, this is the crew from the old 288 location that relocated here where there is more space. It's my favorite Discount Tire crew of anywhere I've been and I find them to be honest and efficient. Now if you've never been to a Discount Tire and are considering, the best tip I can give you is to get the warranty. You spend the money once when you are getting new tires, but end up with free rotations, balance and air pressure checks for the life of your tire! When a tire needs to be replaced due to damage (got a nail in the wall, dammit) then you're paying less than $25 as long as it still has tread. Fantastic deal! When I purchased the tires brand new they were $65 less (per tire) than my dealership and were for 60k miles instead of 45k. To me, that's a no brainer. I also appreciate that they are located all over the country. This means I'm in the system and don't have to remember how old my tire is or when I got my last rotation. I have OCD tendencies so I set reminders in my phone 6 months after my visits, but they also send email reminders. Anyway, if something happens to my tire at work or while travelling, I can easily find a nearby location and all I have to do is provide my phone number- so easy! I have had 3 experiences with 3 different discount tire shops in the last 6 months (lucky me right). They have really stepped up their game this place runs like a machine. Specifically their customer service. Exp1: Dec 2021 I had a puncture on a badly worn tire. All were due to be replaced. They matched a price for me and got me in a Goodyear. They checked out my spare too. (Foreshadowing) Exp2: Feb 22 I must have hit some debris on the highway and popped one of my new tires. Had to change it in the freezing rain. Spare had to go on. Discount tire warranty on the new one and they completely put back together my tire change parts kit and put the spare back under the car. I didn't even ask, I just assumed they wouldn't. Exp3: May 22 low tire pressure one morning. Must have run over something. I'll add that I drive over 1000 miles a month. My local store was slammed and couldn't get me in with my time constraint. They aired me up and they made an appointment for me at a store on my way the next morning. Now I am here in the waiting room and my car is already in a bay getting flat fixed. My appointment was kept and it everyone here has a smile on their face. I know tire shops suck and we rarely need them on our best days. They have my respect. Nice work guys. They are always very friendly and helpful, and as a woman I do not feel they suggest unnecessary upsells or attempt to rip me off in any way. This was ny first experience with Discount Tire but won't be my last! I was sent to them by another local company because of my truck's oversized tires. I called and gave a $25 deposit to order replacement tires. They called me when the tires arrived and we scheduled an installation appointment. After giving me a military discount they found an issue with the tire rings for which they promptly ordered replacements. Because I had scheduled an installation appointment they had my tires on about a hour after taking my keys. Expecting it to take longer I dropped it off and grabbed a bite to eat. I really don't like being in stores and was grateful for their swift and professional service. My entire time standing inside of the store was less than 20 minutes (most of which was spent waiting in line while the staff was stuck dealing with an old lady who seemed to be an unhappy person to begin with). Extremely unprofessional. Stated that I needed four new tires when current tires only have 30k on then with zero patch work. Quoted me $1200 for the four tires that they didn't even have in stock. I feel like because I'm a woman he was trying to take advantage of me. Which I've seen a lot from these types of businesses. OMG!!! If only a fat zero could be left for a rating. My poor first responder after a 12hr shift went to Discount Tire to have them check on a slow leak on a tire. They took the tire off and attempted to sell her a new tire instead because the tire has been plugged before. She proceeded to decline on the new purchase but they REFUSED to reinstall the tire that they removed. She then threatened to call the Denton Police and that's when the DT Manager directed the salesman to install the spare tube in its place to get her out of the store as a matter of "DT Policy". To be VINDICTIVE, DT dismounted her (subject) tire and left it in the trunk fully dismounted.!!! This is where LA Tires from Denton came in to the rescue. Not only did they fix the slow leak but checked tire pressure on all tires and put everything back that DT dismantled and left in disarray. Thank you LA Tire!!! Shame on you Discount Tire!!! You're only great at selling new tires tires and hide behind "safety" and doom and gloom tactics to sell them; including resorting to holding first responders HOSTAGE by removing their tires and refusing to put them back on upon their request. read more

When we get to location in Denton, TX they proceeded in getting ready to put new tires obut then find out the tires had not been ordered. I have never had a single problem with any DT location. Been a customer for years. Just bought 4 new tires for my Porsche Cayenne. Next morning had a low tire. Figured I had a nail since I live in a new, under construction, sub-division. Took it in for repair. They said the rim had a small crack in it. It wasn't leaking before I had the new tires installed. They said "sorry, they should have caught it when they installed the new tires, but there is no way we damaged it". I have watched how they toss the rims up onto their machines, however, I have no way of proving they cracked the rim, but I didn't have a leak until they installed new tires. I had just put new tires on my wife's car, and with this purchase, I have spent over 3K with them in just the last few months. They eventually turned it over to their insurance company. The insurance company emailed and said, in their opinion, Discount Tire is not liable, and denied the claim. They have lost a long time customer. read more

Went in to have my tires rotated on my wife's vehicle, I knew going in that they were worn but were well within specs to still be in service. None of the tires were leaking air or had any abnormal wear but the "helpful" person decided that I needed new tires and he was going to try and scare me into buying them. He seemed shocked when I told him no and I was going somewhere else. I went to a discount tire at a different location and they were happy to help. Stay away from this location. read more

We use to use this location frequently, but not anymore. My husband had a nail in tire and took it in to get a plug. Found out the wheel was cracked and we needed a new wheel. One wheel was $600 and four was $900! Looked on local FB Marketplace sell page and found 4 older wheels for $160. Asked the seller to bring to discount tire to make sure these would work, which he did. Installer told my husband yes they would work, so my husband paid the seller and he left. Then the installer said he "forgot" something on wheel.... NO they won't work! Seller is gone, he won't return call so we are out $160. The thing that irritated us the most was there was NO apology from the tech or manager for telling us they would work then saying they would not. We tried to do the right thing when buying from resale, taking them to the business that should know if they would fit. Will never use this location again. An apology for not checking all elements would of been nice since they are suppose to be the experts. read more
