I was greeted at my truck, the person introduced himself and already knew what I was there for which was 4 new tires. he explained everything and started working on my truck. the level of professionalism that I get at this location by all staff is immeasurable! read more

Came in for help putting air in a low tire that was holding air. Waited nearly an hour, then was told they wouldn't put air in it and that I needed a full service instead. Inside, I was pressured toward replacing all four tires--even though they were replaced recently. I left, I went home filled my air compressor and brought back to Discount tire and in the parking lot filled the tire myself, and it inflated and held air just fine. That confirmed my concern that this was unnecessary escalation rather than actual safety. Not a good experience and not confidence-inspiring. read more

I was told my tires needed to be done and was quoted $450 for just 2 tires and when I brought my car somewhere for a second opinion they recommended waiting another year and that they were not nearly as bad as this discount tire made it out to be read more

First off let me say 5 star service is not enough stars for the rating they deserve here at Plainfield discount tire. When I go there it is usually a dire situation and they always address my issue. I had a bad front tire with belts coming thru the rubber of course they offer easy financing which I declined because I know my approval rating is low they don't pressure me beyond asking the first time. I also had the wrong tires on my vehicle for the factory installed not only did Eli and Phil make sure I had the correct tire for my vehicle they went above and beyond for the service they provided to me today. These guys are amazing humans. I have never had one single bad experience with them and I am kind of shocked to see negative reviews or comments. Everybody has bad days and I am true believer they would go the extra to make it right. Way to go Eli and Phil discount tire plainfield read more

I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment, and had to wait 2 hours!! How outrageous! The workers informed me that my tires, WHICH I HAD AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE PUT ON, were not in yet, they didn't inform me that they weren't there! read more

Ordered tires online and made an appt. In and out within the hour. Very efficient and friendly!

If you're a young woman and in your 20s, I suggest you go with your father brother boyfriend friend somebody that is a man first of all. I understand it's busy season and everyone wants their tires done. I know that the appointments are booked out so you would think that if you show up when they open at like 8 AM and let them know hey I have an appointment at 11 AM. Will you be able to get these done by then and they say of course, we'll have it done in plenty of time. At 10:25 I went up to the desk and I said if you don't think it can be done by 10:40 then I'm sorry I need to leave. They said it's up next and it will be done in 10 to 15 minutes 30 minutes later I'm still sitting here at 11 AM. I had missed my appointment and they couldn't care less. I went up to the desk for the third time and they said can we help you with something like they seemed annoyed that I was in a rush, but mind you I've been waiting there for three hours at this point. I said well the tires be done soon and he said well you see your car on the dock don't you? That was rude. And they wasted my time I will never ever be coming here again. I kind of wish I didn't get new tires and just let myself slide off the road. I would've rather done that than experience What I just did this morning. read more

Discount Tire - Tires Near Me - Comstock Park, Michigan

I was very impressed with this Discount Tire location. I came in to get new tires and Connor was very helpful explaining the perks of each tire, discussing their price points and helping me decide which is the right fit for me and my car. He was also very helpful and non-judgmental when my 1 year old was throwing a fit during our discussion. I was in and out with 4 brand new tires in just an hour! read more

The Alpine location did a great job for me yesterday. I'm getting used to subpar service lately so it was a great surprise to be treated well by the Alpine Avenue team. They kicked butt read more

Wonderful customer service! Very informative. Took the time to walk me through my options in detail. I felt no pressure in making my purchase. Even the technician who brought me my car after installation walked me through a few additional features. read more

2.5 hour wait time to fix nail in tire today. Called first in advance to ask when is best to have truck in today; understanding that we didn't have a reserved appt on the books. Upon arrival also relayed that we could come back when best for them. Took maybe 15 min to fix, when they finally stopped serving all of the other people arriving. They sell you on the warranty and taking care of you, but we were back of the line today because "free service". Disappointed customer service experience on very expensive tire purchase. Will go elsewhere in the future! read more

I was in the Plainfield area when my TPS light came on. I made an appointment for 3 hours later at the Plainfield store. I checked in and waited in my car for an hour. The clerk was not in the store. I left and drove across town to the Alpine location, my usual store. Gavin had me in 15 minutes after I arrived. They were also busy. Such as difference in customer service. Alpine has my business. read more

Can not say enough good things about this location! They are super quick, super friendly and so helpful. I came to this location after work hoping to get my tire checked out. While I did need to ultimately replace the tire, they worked with my budget and were so understanding. Very honest and good people. They have my business as long as I'm living in GR and will recommend them to everyone!! Thank you to Tyler (x2) and the other manager who helped me out, I'm sorry I don't remember your name but I appreciate you guys!!! read more

Slow af. If you have plans and need to be somewhere, then you're not gonna make it...sorry not sorry. I made an appointment and still didn't get my tires to be rotated until 45 minutes later. Could they be any slower. They should prioritize appointments than just walk ins. The guys at the front desks are sassy. read more

This business really depends on the location. I had one of the worst experiences of my life at one location Plainfield , and one of the greater experiences of my life at another location alpine.. overall I will be buying the rest of my tires for the rest of my life at Bell.. the only reason why I ever went to discount was during the pandemic I couldn't get the tires I needed for my truck.... read more

I had deflation issues, as most men my age, on my truck tires. I had to inflate one of the tires daily so I called Discount. Mike got me in as a walk in to take a look at them. I was expecting the worse--"your perfectly good tires all need to be replaced or else the Earth will fly into the sun destroying all humankind". But that was not it at all: St Mike called me to inform me that my tires were fine but just needed some cleaning up from oxidation on the rim! No charge! Not a dime! Problem solved! I had a nail in my tire and they filled the hole for free. I chauffeur my elderly mother ("drivin' Ms. Cheryl") in her car and it was time to get new tires. Stopping at this store, there was a short line but a long waiting list -- we opted to make an appointment and returned the day after Christmas, yesterday. The line of customers was almost out the door, and at moments the staff were struggling to answer the phone. These guys work hard! But every individual we dealt with, on the initial visit too, was the picture of courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism. Our tires were replaced in just under 45 minutes, the exact time they'd told us. The waiting area (and restroom) was clean. The staff were polite, precise, attentive. I kind of wanted to give a 4-star rating, just for restraint. But, honestly, this experience was indeed as good as it gets. read more

I needed some tire help and I brought my car to discount Tire on Alpine. The employee that helped me was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Very helpful and kind. I believe his name is Tyler. Went there to get my tires rotated because sams club didn't have the right tools but after the tire rotation was done I was told there was a bent rim, so after driving it I didn't notice anything wrong with how it drove. i felt like this was a thing to try and get me to spend more money. i won't be coming back here again that's for sure read more

My husband went into the store to get a flat tire replaced a couple days ago, had no issues. Fast forward to today and I had to go into the store to get my other tire swapped out. They we're able to pull up the receipt from the previous day and see what tire was needed. I went ahead and paid and sat down to wait. I looked at my receipt and noticed an extra charge. Realized it was an extra warranty for the tire that was added, which wasn't added by my husband the previous day. Tyler the sales man didn't bother to ask me and just slid it on my bill probably hoping I wouldn't notice. I must have looked like an easy target as I was preoccupied with my three young children. Wont be returning. Really disappointing knowing people will take any opportunity to take advantage of you read more

Today I was in a pinch and needed to figure out why my tire pressure light kept coming on after I would put air in my tires. I needed to drive back to Chicago within the next 4 hours and was ready to pay anything just so I could get on my way. Even though they were super busy they looked at my tires and told me there was a slow leak due to one of my rims being corroded. They fixed it up enough so I could deal with the issue for when I come back for Christmas break. THEY DIDN'T CHARGE ME ANYTHING!!! Easily could of been taken advantage of since I look like the stereotypical female who knows nothing about cars! I was surprised this morning with some broken glass on the parking lot and noticed that one of the tires was going down. The Discount tire store is really close to me and i went there for help. Well, the service was fast and the guys ultra kind! Besides that, they did not charge me at all. I know that would be just a small amount of money but, what is really important, is that even having a small problem wich I didn't have to pay for, they were really great. And fast. I came here on a whim and boy was I lucky. I tried to inflate my tires late in the winter and it had turned out my tire caps had fused onto the valve (metal caps). I had broke one of my valves (tpms) so I came here to get a replacement and the guys working were super nice and understanding and were even willing to negotiate a price in the event all 4 of my tpms sensors had to be replaced. They went out of their way to dremel all of the caps off and fixed the one I broke. Super affordable place and super great service. read more

I have purchased all tires for me and my company over the year's at this location Many thousands of dollars. I always made my employees go there obviously that does not matter. After looking at my account you would think wow this is a great customer. Went to have a a slow leak looked at and they would not even put air in the tire for liability reasons as well as repair it . There was enough tread to go another 10 k miles. To much protocol not enough customer service.I was the only customer in the showroom They thought they had a captive customer so the price was outrageous. Business 101 take care of a GOOD,LOYAL customer. They just lost all my business and company business.went to Belle Tire and now have a corporate account. Do your research and do not listen to these guys. I have been around the block a few times and realize one thing . They wantt to sell . Customer care and value added is not their concern. Too much protocol!!!!! read more

I am a little disappointed to have to update this review based on my latest experience. I feel that the store has gone down in speed and quality. I brought my car in around 1 PM and was told they would text me when it's ready. The store closes at 6 so around 5:30 I started trying to call to ask if I could pick my car up that night or if I should arrange for transportation to work the next day. After being put on hold and disconnected twice, I called several more times and was given the voicemail. Then, at 6:42, I received a text saying my car was ready for pickup and to call the store with any questions. So I called and, once again, voicemail. Um??? It's fine to be busy and I understand having to wait, but not being able to get ahold of the people who have my vehicle is ridiculous. They were clearly understaffed from what I saw when I was there. It wasn't the customer service I'm used to, which is a huge bummer. I'll still recommend this place because of the fair prices and the service I've received in the past, but based on this last experience I am not ready to rave about Discount Tire anymore. read more
