If you think you got a good deal, think again! DO NOT EXPECT a refund of your $300 core charge they…read morebill you for separately after EBAY purchase. They tell you that damages to the wheel will be deducted from the core charge. Why would anyone need to buy a wheel if there were nothing wrong? They get you for an extra $150 and tell you that's normal. WELL, IT'S NOT. Competitors give 100% core money back as long as it is the same OEM wheel whether it is repairable or not. Inner lip bend, repairable at my expense apparently. SCAM!!! The pictures are of a wheel they claim may not be repairable and that they are taking a chance of it not being repairable and is the reason I am only getting half of the core money. Apparently, the massive building they are in in Michigan cannot straighten wheels, they only refinish them. Also, their core deposit email does state that I may be liable for some damages to be repaired but the charge would be between $50 - $75 (pictured too). They didn't do that either! This place gives you the illusion of a good deal but gets normal price as an end result. And the product I received was not the best quality. At the end of the day, I was scammed and the most I should be liable for based on their poor business practices is $75, not double. A rim company says they are going to charge you for repairs needed and take away from the core. That is ludicrous. That's like buying a remanufactured alternator from the parts store. They charge a core deposit too and refund that core when the core is returned. The Wheel Exchange states they are going to charge you to repair what failed. That just doesn't happen with the alternator from the parts store. It is called the cost of doing business and the price should have reflected what it takes to repair the wheel for someone else to purchase. Technically, I paid for the wheel to be repaired, I should get it back. This is very poor and unethical business practices. I would urge anyone that is considering making a purchase from this company be aware that what you think you are paying really will not be what you end up paying most of the time.

Unless you have perfect wheels to trade in AND buying the "SAME EXACT WHEEL" with no exceptions, I…read morewould stay away from Wheel Exchange. Once you pay up front the "BALL IS IN THEIR COURT" and they can manipulate the sale anyway they want and penalize you for anything they want. I just trade almost brand new OEM Cadillac 12 spoke rims for a set of REFINISHED chrome Cadillac Rims and because mine were Midnight Silver (A Special Color) and their wheels were chrome I was charged an extra $600 plus the original $1200, so I took a real bath. Then when I thought about wanting to cancel the deal and get my wheels back, I find that they have a re-stocking charge, and extra charge per wheel because they have been mounted on rims, etc., etc. The only thing I can add here is "BE CAREFUL AND KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T......IT WILL COST YOU BIG TIME". I had a BIG Problem even after discussing my purchase with "Mitch" who NEVER told me their would be a $600 additional cost for switching the color even though my wheels were probably better than what I purchased!

I'll preface this review with one major takeaway: Jerry can kick rocks!…read more I've been taking my seasonal and custom spec tires here for a few years now, and have never had an issue until today. Today I brought in a set of 205/50-17" tires to be mounted on my 17x7.5" rims. The wheels and tires were both loose and not being installed on my vehicle. Jerry still asked what vehicle they were going on, so I told him, paid my invoice, and waited patiently outside. A half hour later, Jerry came sauntering outside. He opened my vehicle in the parking lot without my consent, despite having no reason to do so since they weren't touching my car. He argued with me and couldn't decide if the tires were anywhere from 0.5"-1.5" shorter than the factory ones, and they wouldn't mount them. According to the manufacturer, the new tires I brought were designed to mount on a 7.5" wheel. Then he started trying to tell me that smaller tires would ruin my transmission-LIE!!! The tires and wheels are going on a FWD car with a manual transmission. When I asked if they were going to mount the tires or not, he instead opted to call his supervisor to ask if they could do it-and then lied to his supervisor on the phone right in front of me! He misrepresented the manufacturer minimum size as 225 width to make it seem like the tires were egregiously undersized. Instead of continuing to argue with Jerry the jerk, I asked for a refund and left. I wouldn't be writing this review if it weren't for his rudeness. Pretty unfortunate, considering the techs actually doing the work in the garages were awesome-enough so that I'd have been writing a stellar review had this gone differently. I've ran custom sized wheels and tires on dozens of vehicles over the last twenty years. Street cars, daily drivers, autocross and track cars and even a drift missile. I thought I had found a shop that would work with custom setups, but I guess I was wrong. Where can I take my custom sizes to, and where can I refer all of my car enthusiast friends and fellow racers? This situation could have been handled so much better!

I love this place. If you plan ahead, do a little looking, and then they will save you 10% or more…read moreover any budget tire retailer. Also, they have a fair supply of used tires. I like this place. I grew up in a rural back ground and things were not so polished there. This is a simple shop that will give you either a new or used tire for a fair price. The men are hard working (you're not going to see a female there as a worker; they can get hired at "fancier" places and I don't blame them). I support this place. It gives a fair dead, supports hardworking men, and they do good work.
