On August 31,2025 my husband went in to have new tires put on my truck which went well up until he went to get the receipt. He noticed he didn't receive his military discount which, I had noted in the message box that he would be the one taking my truck in. I did use my cc to purchase the tires and it seems that why he didn't get he discount. He was told I'd have to go in to receive the credit since, it was my card. My Daughter needed two front tires, I called about an appointment, Anthony said "just come it's not very busy" it was a Friday at 1pm, so we went in and we were taken care of right away, I explained what we needed, Jose took excellent care of us, we got two new tires and he explained about the lug nuts that have aluminum covers on them, I have dealt with them before they are junk so he replaced all the lug nuts on all four tires, that made me feel better, now I know my daughter will be safe, Discount Tire in Bolingbrook did an excellent job, highly recommended. read more

Not happy with this place. They lied to me about a flat tire repair that was repairable and they said it was not - just so they can sell me a new tire. The nail came through the tread and the tire was very repairable. Then, they they tried to sell me 2 new crappy tires when all 4 of my tires had lots of tread life remaining. They looked almost new to me. They were probably slow that day and wanted to try and rip me off and sell me new tires when my tires were just fine. I paid them $140 to replace one tire and they gave me some crappy no name tire that probably cost $60 online. This place wants only to replace all 4 of your tires. If you want anything else they will try to upsell you to replace all 4 tires. I don't trust them. I won't be going back. read more

THE LONG ROAD HOME This automotive retailer/tire repair shop in Bolingbrook is courteous and speedy beyond expectations. For a mechanical engineer, I'm ashamedly negligent when it comes to vehicle maintenance. It's not that I willfully ignore my car, I'm just not a pro-active dude who's constantly working under the hood. Anyway, the tires on my Mazda 6 were basically bald and with all the miles I've been putting on it recently, I needed the full set replaced. Discount Tire has locations sprinkled around the country, this one sitting off of Boughton Road near I-355 (it's hidden a bit from the main stretch behind the Bdubs and Panda Express). I scheduled an appointment online, which was easy squeezy. Curbside check-in was nice and the place was doing brisk business when I came in on 8/27/20. Brad assisted me at the register; when I told him I had a spending cap of $500, he was able to find suitable replacements plus a warranty for the tires. The inside was spotlessly clean and everyone was obeying hygienic protocols (which reminds me.......I'm using a new metric for Yelping during 'covid times': how many people were punched in the face over mask policies? The counter sits at '0', but we're visiting Wal-Mart soon so that might change). DT's founder, Bruce Halle, believed that "happy employees make happy customers", a motto that appeared to be thriving here. From what I noticed, the on-duty managers had a great rapport with the mechanics, always communicating yet still keeping things loose. Extra kudos for having the world's longest running TV spot (you know the one, folks) -- it aired back in 1975 and you can occasionally see it being played to this very day. Based on lengthy experiences at other tire places, I thought for sure I'd need the wifey to come pick me up, but thanks to a fully staffed crackerjack crew, I was out of here in under 30 minutes. Although Brad was the one who helped me from start to finish, a different employee's name somehow wound up on the receipt (perhaps the last person who logged in). The salesperson's name? Eric S. * TL;DR * Organized, efficient, and relatively affordable. If you have a legitimate beef with one of their products, just do what the old lady does in the commercial and chuck a tire through the front window (disclaimer: please don't actually do that. They're very nice people and a phonecall or email will suffice. Don't resort to vandalism!) My new treads are great, I'd be happy to conduct business with them again in the future and will definitely recommend this Discount Tire to anyone who feels their ride isn't gripping the asphalt properly. IF YOU ARE A WOMAN PLEASE READ: I came in by myself as a young woman and a worker here was trying to fear-monger me. I had a kind of bald tire and my other one was super bad with wire exposed so I just needed that one fixed. I told the worker 5 times I just needed one fixed because I JUST bought all new tires and rims that are arriving in 9 days. He sat right next to me and kept trying to peddle me another tire for $50 saying he would cut the labor costs trying to get me a better deal. He then asked me what I was going to do if my other tire popped and I was stranded on the road. He was passive aggressively asking me where I worked and lived even though I had literally just explained this is a TEMPORARY situation and I needed a quick fix for 9 days while I wait. My other tire was not as bad as he was making it out to be and was acting like this was a life or death situation for me just so I would buy another tire. I already spent $90 on a tire that i'm only going to be using for 9 days, I was already a paying customer why are you trying to squeeze more money out of me? I had communicated with him my situation. Please sir, be a reasonable and sensible person and ask yourself if you would spend $150+ on just TIRES for the next 9 days. Hello, my name is Trace Lippmann I had an appointment at your Bolingbrook IL. Location at 10:30 today to have a slow leak fixed. Your representative told me the tire could not be fixed because it had pothole damage, and I would need a new tire. I told him I would think about it, promptly drove not far to another tire service company which pulled out a screw and put a plug in it in 15 minutes and said there was no sign off pothole damage. Your representative never even moved my vehicle let alone take off the tire. All I can deduce form this is he was just being deceitful to make a sale. As I previously mentioned, I always purchase my tires with this company and I have five vehicles. Recently purchased a set for my wife's truck. She broke down in the express, one of her new tires blow out. She was stranded with no spare. I arrived with our mechanic - we called the Bolingbrook location on boughton rd- Dominick handed the call, we explained what happened, so he was ready for us. We had to drive their to get a new tire replacement. We just bought these. Turns out it was partially our fault. However, Dominick jumped into action. This morning I found my tire deflated. I was able to use a portable generator to inflate the tire and drive it to discount tire. After an hour, parked outside the store, the tire was still inflated. An hour later, the store representative told me that he refused to put the tire back on. he insisted that the tire could not be used, and refused to even check the tire pressure to see if it was losing pressure. Over and over again, I asked him if the tire is losing pressure, and he would not give me a straight answer. he just kept saying he refused to put the tire back on and he also refused to do a tire pressure test which the majority of other mechanic stores do when they change tires. In the end, the only way he would allow me to have my car back was if I put a replacement tire on the car. He refused to allow me to have a tow truck bring the car back to my house. He refused again to put the tire back on that had no problems maintaining air along the 4 mile drive to the store. When store representatives refuse to give you truthful answers, refused to give you your tire back, and refuse to release your vehicle unless you pay them something, that should send off alarm bells to warn anybody else from ever coming to this place. For that reason, I caution people , like the woman that was in the store while I was there, who burst out in tears, literally from their fear sales tactics, despite that she was carrying a baby with her. If you bring your car here, you better expect no more the dishonest service. read more

Once I told them not today, they "suddenly" found a SIX INCH GASH in my tire. How have I been driving around with a 6" gash in my tire, right cuz I wasn't. They didn't want me to say, not today. I went to the Bolingbrook location with a dashboard message that my front driver side tire was low. Even though they were busy, more than one employee offered to help me. My tires were checked within ten minutes, and a more serious issue was found on the passenger side tire. I was advised about my options, including going to the dealership if the tire was available right away and under warranty. This service center is clean and light with lots of windows. The chairs for waiting customers are comfortable and well spaced for health safety. There is a special lane set up where an attendant cheerfully puts air in low tires for no charge and gets the driver right back on the road. I cannot praise this store enough. This is my third visit here, and I've encountered nothing but stellar customer service. Even though there were a lot of customers, they were pretty well staffed. The prices are unbelievably low compared to other places, and usually comes with a tire warranty that may either be free or for a very small cost. Rafael was very helpful and even showed me the price breakdown from his computer screen. He was very informative about rotating the old tires to the front, while the newer ones should be placed at the rear. The only two things that kept me from giving this place 6 stars is the rather long wait time (an hour and a half) and the tasteless coffee that they offer in the "waiting area." I usually hate going into any auto shop. I don't know crap about cars and I wear that ignorance in my demeanor. I had a bad shake in my steering wheel. I brought my van in to have the tires checked. They inspected my tires and showed me the wear and tear. Then they rotated my tires for free. Told me it might fix the skake but if not... I would most likely need new tires.
