I brought my car in for 100,000 mile service on my Honda Civic. Instead of trying to upsell me on repairs I didn't need, the team thoroughly explained exactly what was going on and gave me a very reasonable quote. Diehl are Vultures with polo shirts. They are crooks. Took my car in and they told me I had an oil leak. Didn't go in for an oil leak or their bs recommendations that totaled close to $10k. Took my car somewhere else and the screw was loose. No leak. No need for a new pan. They also over filled my tires and my tire pressure light was always lit. When I fill my tires and fill it with the correct PSI no issues. gouging and incompetence from DIEHL. They were the only ones who serviced my vehicle since 2022. Including my oil changes. Not no more. I found better and honest people. . read more

Mark knows his stuff and will tell you what you need and what you don't need. The rest of the gang is a pleasure to work with and the prices are fair. Labor is spot on. This place is AMAZING! I will NEVER go anywhere else, ever again. I've tried other places and have dealt with dishonesty/being treated differently as a woman, and this place is NOTHING like those. I came in here to get a 2nd opinion a few years back after getting an oil change at a local shop. The oil change place told me I needed brakes & rotors. My estimate from Cars Plus added calipers to the list & quoted me over $900. I had a bad feeling about this & drove down to Greenway's in Morris, IL, because my dad sold cars there for 40+ years. They advised me that the brakes that I was told to replace were 90% intact, my rotate were fine & I definitely didn't need calipers. Needless to say, I was extremely happy to pay for the diagnostic, even with the 45 minute drive. I will never bring my car here again. read more

Love these guys. They had the best price on tires when I called around to find a place to purchase and replace all 4 on my Prius (I bought Continental ProContact EcoPlus). I'm now a repeat customer and have gone back for oil changes and free rotations. Service is friendly and quick. Prices are fair and work quality is good. Last I checked, they were working on updating their scheduling system to a computer-based system but it's not up yet, so phoning them for an appointment seems to be the best way to go with these guys. read more

Car plus was an emergency "my car is dead on the side of the highway, what does the GPS suggest" decision, and one I do not regret. Like I said, car died on the Stevenson on my way home from work. I consulted the GPS for a tow and ended up here. The dispatcher was very helpful and even comforting as he assured me that the tow truck would be along very quickly and that I would be safe at the garage as it was a well light area with many business nearby (as this was after business hours). The mechanics got to my car the very next day and I spent a great deal of time with them on the phone. Issue was alternator and battery, which I had sort of figured. They were great about communication regarding the repairs had a good sense of humor. The cost of the repairs was no great deal and I certainly didn't save any money (and why should it be. I am not one of their loyal regulars). However, it was completely and totally fair. Parts and labor was totally reasonable for what got done. I am confident about the way I was billed and have no issue paying appropriately for services rendered. I would use them again for repairs. read more

I needed new tires thanks to the normal wear and tear. I called several places and Carsplus Tire and Auto had the best price to my liking. Salesperson Will was friendly and easy to deal with. What I also liked was they had a coupon on their website that helped me save money for the tires I was planning to buy. The nice bonus was that I also get the manufacturer's rebate on top of it. The transaction was very smooth when I got there. They didn't tell me I needed to get extra stuff fixed like other places try to hoodwink people with. This is a reliable place to go to if you need new tires. read more

My family has been using this shop for years. They are very helpful and are reasonably priced. They also do not offer a bunch of unnecessary services just to get you to spend more money. The people at Carsplus are very helpful to what I needed to get my car fixed What I liked about them as they had the car there for repairs they look the car over to see if it needed anything else and found some other things it needed to make my vehicle safe to drive I had them fix it and have not had any problems after that GREAT JOB GUYS Thank You/ I had a problem with my vehicle a newer one the guys took some time to find it but no one would have it was a stupid Evaporative system leak. Where was it Believe it or not it was the brake booster leaking air causing a lean reading they got it fixed WOW the check out fee was $54.95 I called the dealer for a price to check it out $150.00 per hour Not bad guys keep it up and you will always get my family cars to fix Thanks Greatly read more

Purchased an oil Change coupon from Groupon. I called to get an appointment however had to wait 3 weeks to find an open slot. Finally went in yesterday gentlemen was polite and courteous. They were able to get me in right away and I was soon on my way. I would certainly recommend this place however I will say this given its a local owned business must be patient. read more

Zero stars. I have used car plus for over ten years. Well on January 5,2018 I have my car towed in because it would not start. I thought it was the cold weather, however David Kowalczyk (Service Advisor) called and said it was a bad starter and it gets better. The starter burned the battery out and the battery need to be replaced. I bought the battery Jan. 2017 from car plus. David Kowalczyk let me know it was under warranty but he did have to replace it. I thanked him for replacing my battery that had a warranty ( he was doing me a favor). Picked car up on the same day. A few days later same problem car would not start on first (second try it started). Called January 18 spoke with Steve explained the problem he said bring it in. January 19 7:00 left car at car plus with David Kowalczyk (service Advisor). I did not get a call Jan. 19,20,22,23 or 24. I called Jan 22 spoke with David Kowalczyk (service Advisor) he said they were trying to find the problem my car was hooked up????? I called Jan. 24 spoke with Steve was told they were still working on my car no recommendations to what was going on. I went to pick up car and ask for all paper work was told by Adam that I needed four spark plugs and four coils. At this point Steve did not want to talk to me. I said if it is over a hundred dollars forget it. Did I need a starter in the first place or was it sparks plugs and coils. I was told by Adam when I got all paper work and asked for my key that they were putting my starter on and my car was not ready. What starter the one that was put on Jan 5,2018?????? Told disrespect from here on out. I asked if they replaced the starter Jan 5 if so why was I not told within this five day wait that they needed to replace the starter they put on Jan 5. The paper work showed JAN 19 THAT TECH NOTES STATED I NEED FOUR SPARK PLUGS AND FOUR COILS. I was not called by anyone to let me know. The paper work stated my service was schedule 01/19/2018 7:00 A.M and promised date 01/19/2018 5:00 P.M no call and no car the next four days. Jan 24 4:30P.M got my car and the check engine light is on. Called and asked why is my check engine on because I did not want to go back in car plus. Steve answered and said they told you already. Car plus will not get any business from me. Good luck if you decide to use their service I was fooled for more than ten plus years. FYI STEVE GOT THE MANAGER and he said he did not want to get in the middle of it. read more

The inspection was very thorough, and performed with a level of detail I'd not seen done at other, more well known P Car shops. I took my car to these guys for a basic repair. When I called (from work) to get details and a price, The guy on the phone immediately went into a sales pitch for four tires. I didn't have time to listen to a sales pitch. I told him that I had not looked at the tires recently, but that I would, and thanked him for his recommendation. I specifically stated, in no uncertain terms, that tires could not be considered until next payday. When my wife called to find out if the car was ready for pick up, she received the same pitch. The guy on the phone scared her into buying four new tires. I furthermore never got to see these "unsafe" tires. How many others have been scared into buying new tires when all they needed was an oil change? I cannot undo this mishap. But I can be certain that they will never again sell me something that I don't need. I'm staying away! read more

Stay away from this place. They have salesmen there that cannot be trusted. I dropped off my wife's car for service. When I called the next day to find out what they found, they tried to sell me 4 new tires. I told them that I can't do tires this week. maybe next payday. Let me look at the tires first. Just fix the problem that I brought the car in for. Then my wife called and they scared her into buying 4 new tires. I can't sue them. They got my wife's signature. But when I asked to see the old tires, they told me that they were gone. I have 6 vehicles that I need to maintain, and need a shop that I can trust. I cannot afford to buy tires for cars that do not need them. I will NEVER go to a shop that cannot be trusted to be HONEST! read more
