I've bought used cars in the past, and too many times I've had shady private sellers or overpriced dealerships that hit you with so many extra costs that it ends up being the price of a new car. Here, I found a reliable 2015 Honda CRV at a price that makes sense. Great service overall. I recommend this dealership for sure. read more

I had a great experience with Discount Auto. I bought a used Volvo that was inspected, had new wipers, new tires, pretty new battery, and they threw in an alignment when I mentioned there was a wobble as I did a test drive. The entire staff was so friendly, even though I was there at the end of their Saturday hours. When I couldn't get a ride to pick up the car during their weekday hours, they brought the car to me, an hour away! I will buy from Bill again, he is very kind and his staff is above par with their accommodations read more

I had been searching for a specific Jeep Wrangler for over a year. I finally found it at Discount Auto for $6K less than what they typically sell for. It was one of those things that if it is too good to be true it probably is but the staff was super nice and responsive, the carfax, history and inspection all looked great. I had never purchased a car from out of state and sight unseen before. Going against my better judgement I sent them a check for $25K. The car was delivered a week later and I couldn't have been more thrilled! Nearly mint condition and freshly detailed. I highly recommend them as a trusted car dealership. read more

Discount Auto - Car Buyers Near Me - Langhorne, Pennsylvania

Great car dealership and people. My Jeep has been reliable for the past few months. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a car.

Great service and a great price. I bought a car that ran like new. It was recently inspected with 4 brand new tires, new brakes, and great AC for the hot weather. I've been car searching for some time now but it was worth it once I found the perfect match. Very happy with my experience here read more

I am a Delaware residents and i purchased a 2010 Ford F150 from discount auto thinking i could trust these guys to do the right thing and submit the paperwork and title to my local dmv so i can get my car registered. Well everytime i call there seems to be a issue with the title and I am put on the back burner. I was told buy the title clerk to drive on an expired temp tag and jeopardize myself with getting tickets or possibly get my vehicle taken. This is nothing but bad business. My next step is to let the state police handle this situation. read more

Not sure who the low raters worked with, but Kelly was fantastic. So helpful and did exactly what he promised - every time. Did everything I asked and more. Debbie - also extremely competent and helpful. She knows what she's doing and does it well. I will go back and in the meantime will recommend it to my friends. read more

I helped my son purchase his first vehicle here at discount auto. A Chevy Traverse. The sales guy was just that a sales rep and nothing more. They sold my son a piece of crap and before he could get 5 miles away the car check engine light came on. We drove home and called them first thing in the morning. they said it was nothing and had to reset the computer because they fixed what was wrong the other day. So for the next 4 weeks the car kept having problems and check engine light kept coming on. Turns out it was the catalytic converters and they refused to fix it plus we brought it to their attention at time of sale that tires were bald and inspection due in 2 months. they gave us the run around for a couple months and I had the car volunteer repo. Please find another used auto place they're a rip off. read more

Honestly if I could give this place 0 stars I would. PLEASE avoid this place at all costs. It all started out great with everyone being super helpful and kind, as this was my first car purchase on my own. I dont know much about cars so they immediately started pushing me around when things went wrong. I bought a Ford 250 from them. When I test drove it, it ran perfectly and smoothly. Then, after I got the auto loan through my bank and went to give them the money for it, the truck had all sorts of lights on. They said they would fix it all for me and I wouldnt have to worry about it. After driving home (which is over an hour away) I just got a bad feeling about it. Something was sounding strange and I took it to my auto guy immediately. They told me I had been totally screwed. It had a hole the size of my head in the muffler, no emergency brakes, something wrong with the airbag, a turn signal was out, the bed was barely attached, and much much more. Two days later, I lost my steering infront of a semi-truck. Thankfully I managed to pull it over and I called them and they sent a tow truck to come get the truck and I and bring us to the shop. Turns out, the steering stabilizer was missing. Pretty major part, dont ya think? They offered to have everything fixed for me and sent me home in one of their cheaper sales cars. (Not even sure if thats legal) and the car ran horribly for that matter. I came back up, picked my truck up and took it back to my guy after Discount Auto claimed to fixing everything. Out of the several things they offered to fix, only two minor things had been done. I called them and flipped out. They offered once again to take it back. I tried to schedule a date for me to bring the truck back and they repeatedly cancelled on me. After two or more months of this I flipped yet again and they finally set a date for me to bring it back. Two weeks later (after they claimed it would only be a week) I get a call that it is done and my half is $800.00. I ask what the heck do they mean? My half? They expected me to pay for half of the work they had the other shop do to it. I told them I was not paying a penny and they told me that they would not give me my keys if I came for it. So then I had to call the cops and let them know what was going on. They gave Discount Auto a call and said that they could not keep my truck from me. So then I get a text with the address my truck is at. I get to the other shop where it was being worked on and they said my part was $700.00 and the truck had to be payed for before I left. They werent the ones doing anything wrong so I paid them with the plan to sue Discount Auto later for it. But funny that Discount Auto told me it was $100.00 more than it was... Yet again I take my truck back to my guy and he informs me that there is still about $4,000.00 of work left to be done to the truck. Mind you, I paid about $11,000.00 for this truck. So currently my truck is sitting around with a fake inspection sticker, that is out of date and I cant drive it because I cant afford to pay for all the repairs. Im a college student and also work full time. Now im in a lawsuit with them and will hopefully get my money back... PLEASE avoid this place. read more

I had a very good experience with Discount Auto. I was very hesitant to purchase a used vehicle, but had heard good things about this dealer from a friend, so we took the ride there from New Jersey. We had a pretty good idea of what we were looking for, and came home with a 2009 BMW X3. There was a minor issue with the trunk which was addressed and fixed. The staff was helpful and even picked up the car for me after allowing me to test drive it. I just passed my inspection--no problems at all. The plates were fedexed right to my home, all the paperwork was handled for me and I feel like I got a good deal here. I would recommend this business. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. They are all pleasant and nice to sell you the truck but when I left the lot my gauges went crazy and the steering cable broke. I took my truck back and had to leave it - this was day one! They put a "newish" battery in and said they replaced the cable. After i drove off the lot this time the electric went off on the dashboard and the gauges still were going crazy - day two I too the truck back again. When the contract was given to me there was an odometer reading of 78k, with no changes, I got my truck back with 180k miles on the odometer. I called and they had changed the cluster (from another vehicle) which can affect the mileage. Since 10/26/2019 I have had the car a total of 3 days! I am in contact with the finance company to cancel to loan as this is ridiculous and no one is doing anything about it. Do not purchase a car here. read more

This is pretty long, but it was a terrible experience. This was my first time buying a car from a dealer. The guy that I filled out paperwork with was very helpful and answered all of my questions. When test driving the car, I noticed a few minor things and brought it to their attention so they said it would all be taken care of during inspection. They let me take the car that day because there was nothing major wrong with it and I went back a few days later for inspection. In the few days that I had it, the check engine light came on. I have a code reader so when I took it back, I told him the code it was reading and what I thought it could be. He asked me if it was the engine light or that specific light came on, sounding like he didn't think I knew what I was talking about. I told him it was the engine light and that I got the code and he was shocked that I knew how to do that. I find that highly offensive. He said they would check it out and just took it to wherever their shop is. I have no clue where they took it and when you ask where they tell you "an outside shop". This is over an hour from my house, so I had to walk to the shopping center next door until my ride came. We tried to stay in the area so we didn't have to drive another hour back. We ate lunch nearby and called to get an update, around 1:30 and he said it would be 15 minutes. He then called back and said he got confused with a different person and it would still be a few hours because they hadn't gotten to the brakes yet. I drove over an hour home because I had work and he called at 3:30 to tell me it was done. How convenient. He said the engine light wasn't on so they couldn't fix anything. Just the next day after the inspection, the engine light came back on. I called to tell him and he told me that a this part didn't exist on my car. A 2010 gas engine? Again, expecting me to not know what I was talking about. I looked at the car further to see what they had done during inspection; the tire pressure light was still on along with 2 taillights lights being out. At this point, they have just slapped stickers on the car without doing much to it, considering they passed it with lights out. He said to bring it back and they would fix it, again over an hour from where I live. I said I would take it to a place I trust and that is nearby and send him the bill and he said they wouldn't pay that. Being a full-time restaurant manager, my schedule isn't ideal. I told them I would only be able to to take it Wednesday after 3 pm. They told me they need them there in the morning because they take it to "an outside shop". They also offered for me to leave it over night, meaning I would have no vehicle for a day or two. I called my warranty company and they said it is the dealerships responsibility since these issues were there before I took it off the lot, so I had to either go back to them or pay out of pocket. This was a month or so ago so I have since had it fixed. They are not accommodating what so ever and seem to be pretty sexist. read more

I want to say for the record that I am customer and not one of your competitors writing this review. This review is honest and truthful. I purchased a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 from Discount Auto in October 2018. At first, they were all helpful answered all of my questions. But after the sale is when I had issues. I only driven the truck about 200 miles when I started having an issue with the truck having trouble in stopping. I took it to my mechanic and he noticed that the brake lines were in bad need of replacement and he noticed that it was just inspected and said there is no way this should have passed. While he had it, he also noticed that the oil pump needed to be replaced as well and since I bought the repair warranty we would call and open a claim. We were told by the warranty company that these issues should have been addressed before the truck was sold to me by the dealer, so I called Discount Auto was transferred to the sales or service manager and he was very rude to me saying what do I expect I purchased a used truck and hung up the phone. I called the warranty company back and said I might as well cancel the warranty since I can't get you to fix it and use this money for the repairs. Found out the hard way it is not that simple yes, the warranty company can agree to cancel my warranty but the dealer has to agree to release the funds, so here I am between a rock and a hard place. The warranty company reached back out to me and said since I was in the middle that they would pay for the oil pump in full less fluids and tax and pay for the brake line kit but not the labor or fluids. I figured something was better than nothing but at the end of the day this was still going to cost me $ 725.00 for both jobs out of my pocket. I reached out to my bank and told them that I am in a hard way with the dealer I just purchased this truck and it needs these repairs at this cost, the president's office of the bank contacted Discount Auto by phone and I also sent an email to my sales person and to the service manager expressing my concerns. My sales person sent me a text and said if I send over my invoices for both of these repairs that they would cover them. I did as I was asked and heard nothing, tried to text tried to call again I heard nothing. My bank called me back and said they spoke to discount auto and they agreed to pay for my cost of the repairs. So, I was off of work one-week day and showed up unannounced at the dealership, was immediately met by my sales person Bill and he took me in the office. When in the office the sales/service manager seemed to not have a clue why I was there and didn't recall hanging up on me. I explained the situation and also explained how I was told by my bank and have a text message from Bill that my labor costs would be covered in full and I am here to receive these funds. All I got was an attitude saying he doesn't pay labor as he has his own staff person, I said I tried to have you do the repairs but you hung up on me, he said he never talked to me. He looked over my file for at least 30 minutes and said I will give you $ 250.00 I said that is not what was agreed to he said take it or leave it and you can leave right now I don't have to give you anything. That is when I also mentioned that you sold me a truck on empty, my trade had a full tank and when I brought it back with a full tank for inspection received it back again empty and it was only driven to Bristol and back, he was very generous and gave me another $ 30.00. I hesitated to take the check but had to give my mechanic something. I am still out $ 440.00 that I still feel strongly I shouldn't have to be out. This truck should have had these repairs completed before it was sold. I am hoping this review helps someone out to have them take a second look before buying from this dealership. I feel sorry for the staff her they are very friendly and helpful it's the service/sales manger that has no business dealing with the customer. I have it writing that you agree to pay me in full and when I show up you act like you have no idea when I showed him the text he said "I am the guy with the check book, Bill sent you that text go get the money from Bill, Oh wait he has no money" My question to Patrick McCafferty is where were these statements from your website when I was being treated this way? "Discount Auto has over 27 years' experience in the automotive industry. We specialize in top-quality, pre-owned automobiles" "At Discount Auto in Langhorne, PA we're excited to put you in the driver's seat. Great selection, great prices make Discount the place to go for a used car. We have purchased three cars from them over the years and they made it incredibly easy and the price and service are first rate. Go see Pat at Discount, you'll be glad you did! read more

Do NOT buy from this dealer. I bought a car here 2 years ago and it has been nothing but a money pit. They were nice when I was buying the car, but when I came back not too long after with so many issues (check engine light, catalytic converter, gas gauge, you name it), they all of a sudden wanted nothing to do with me. Even though I had warranty on the car. They DID replace the fuel pump for me, but that wasn't even one of the issues I had. When we confronted them about this, they threatened to call the police on my dad. How is that professional? Save yourself some money and a headache and avoid this place at ALL COSTS. read more

Do not buy any car from this place unless you want to drive around with a faulty engine, and a plethora of other problems. The same day I drove my car off of the lot, the back windshield shattered with my newborn in the backseat, and when I brought it back to be repaired, as opposed to asking me am I or your kids ok, I was asked, what did you do to that window, and who threw something at your window? Two weeks later, my engine light came on, and as opposed to them checking out the engine, they dumped two bottles of oil into the engine and sent me on my way. A week or so later, I brought the car back to be inspected (because they haven't even had the car inspected yet), and the engine light and tire pressure lights were still on! Well, Lo and Behold, the car came back and passed the inspections with flying colors although, the engine light and tire pressure lights were still on! I didn't find out until months later that I had a hole in my engine, and that it needs to be repaired, and the crappy warranty company they offer you doesn't cover anything that really needs to be fixed other than a starter. So, if you decide to purchase a car from them, please bring a mechanic and, take the car to your own inspector, because Discount Auto will only offer you a 30 day warranty to replace or repair anything wrong with the car, and more or less, they won't tell you, and by the time you find out, it'll be too late for them to do anything! read more

I bought a truck from this dealer 4 years ago, The truck was a lemon, that did not pass inspection, they also were dishonest about the warranty. For the record It is illegal to sell a car that does not pass inspection. The Catalytic converter was bad on this car, AND THEY KNEW IT AND DID NOT TELL ME. 2003 The ford escape truck had 103k miles on it and it was sold to me for 11k which was a very inflated price. it was not worth that amount and quickly decreased once everything started falling apart. A week after I drove the truck home, the check engine light came on, tied to the Cat. i immediately brought the truck back to have the mechanic fix the issue, the mechanic did not speak english so we could not communicate to him, and was not a competent enough mechanic to work on dealership property, he belongs in his own self service garage. They claimed to replace the Cat (they did not, they lied! ) and would reset the check engine light and told me to drive straight to the inspection station in order to pass it. They lied to me and they were dishonest, the engine light would keep coming back on but I gave up because after 5 trips back and forth to this dealership my warrenty wore out./ the next time inspection rolled around I FAILED and had to spend the $2500 to fix the cat in order to pass. I traded in this truck yesterday and want everyone to know that this dealership is AWFUL and not trustworthy! read more

I have no idea what these other reviewers could be talking about....makes me wonder if they work for the competition. I had a GREAT experience at Discount Auto Corner. This is our Second pre-owned car purchase from them. They were fantastic to work with. Since we were purchasing an extra car for a young driver in our home and was very concerned about safety. I received great advice, but also top notch service--this company DID EVERYTHING for me including a valet service. They made the transfer of plates and all the other stuff seamless. They detailed and double checked everything on the car and fixed something that I noticed. Price was below what I had seen online for same vehicle so I know I got a good deal. Highly recommend. read more

I purchased a vehicle here and 20 minutes after leaving the lot, two codes came up on my screen. I contacted the dealership right away, they refuse to help me fix the problem with the vehicle. They gave me a 30 day warranty, but that was just a sales pitch. "Vego", the salesman was very rude with me, and he told me that its not that he can't fix my car, it that he WONT!! He said that they purchase the vehicles at an auction, and only check the engines in the vehicle, nothing else. But obviously someone cleared the codes before I came to purchase the vehicle, just so I would think that the vehicle had no problems. Now they are unwilling to help me fix my vehicle. DO NOT PURCHASE VEHICLES FROM THIS LOT!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!! They know that the vehicles have problems but they try to hide it! VERY DISAPPOINTED AND VERY UNSATISFIED!! I will be contacting the Attorney Generals office, as well as the News stations and newspapers, So that other people don't go thru the same HELL that I am going thru now!! read more
