These guys were awesome. Hired them to do a move from one brownstone to another. Not only was everything delicately moved, but it was all done safely with ZERO breakage. I can't recommend them highly enough. Showed up on time. Never took a break (dint even take a lunch) exceptionally polite and considerate to me and my things, and honestly just CRANKED through the move with good attitudes and can do spirits. And if you saw what they had to move, they had every reason not to be excited about it..... This move included a 90 inch oval solid marble table, a exceptionally heavy (300lbs plus) solid wood credenza, 2 EXCEPTIONALLY HEAVY AND AWKWARD Tempur-pedic 'grand bed' CalKing mattresses, a 400 pound coffee table, a SOLID MARBLE lamp, and two large format pieces of art (read 9ftx9ft) of exceptionally high value.... just to name a few things. All made the move safe and sound. Not only that, but most of these pieces had to be carried down 2 flights of stairs of levels with 15 foot ceilings. I'm decently strong....but these guys were on a whole different level. It was amazing to watch. I can't speak to the reviewer saying things were stolen, but I can tell you that the guys that showed up at my house were are as straight, kind, and honest as anyone could be. Trusted them100%. This company stole from me. Now that I have fully unpacked, several of my belongings are missing, including my favorite mug and a cast iron pan. I am certain these boys went through my things and pick/choose what they wanted to steal from me on the down low, and on top of that they broke my tabletop and had to replace it. Noah and his team were amazing. 10 stars!!! i got jammed up last weekend because of the snowstorm. started calling around and got through to Noah and he stepped up and got me through it. I needed containers loaded the next day and he found 3 men to come out. on time, quick, efficient but they just could not get all my stuff into the 2 sixteen foot containers. Noah to the rescue again. He arranged for a small storage unit at a local facility. He and 2 men drove a box truck to my house, finished loading everything else, drove to the storage unit and unloaded everything into the storage unit. Got me out of my house with one day to spare. they came fully prepared too. dollies, blankets, shrink-wrap and handled everything like it was there own. Highly, happily recommend Discipled Moving. The Team from Discipled Movers arrived at my apartment this morning on time. I received a phone call about 1/2 hour before they arrived. I was so happy and surprised that they were on time even though it was snowing. They helped remove some snow so that their job could be done safely. The Team was very professional and happy to do whatever it was that I requested. They worked so hard with very minimal breaks. Too bad I cannot give ZERO STARS to Discipled Movers for the sloppy and overall terrible service that was rendered by Discipled Movers. I let the owner know and sent him photos (these, and more). He said this is a good training opportunity for his guys and he would give me the $34 I spent at Home Depot for the stapler, nails and clamps that I had to buy to repair my stuff. He then proceeded to tell me that I did a bad job of having things set up for the movers, that they complained that it was too much for 2 people, and that my furniture was old and previously broken, making this seem like my fault. He said he didn't SAY it was my fault, but everything he said pointed back to me and the problems with my stuff. I personally moved things around to make it easy and obvious as to what they were to take. I even left some things behind for later because they were not properly packed. I only had them take things that were ready to go. I am 65 years old and handicapped. I should not have had to move a single box when paying two young men to do it. These guys did not secure my items in the truck and it was all in a pile in the middle when we reached the 3rd stop. They said it was my fault because I changed lanes when they were following me. I was 2-3 blocks ahead going 25 mph, and stopping periodically to insure they could see my car. If the items had been padded and strapped in like the pictures on the Discipled Movers website they would not have all fallen into a pile and broken. I was charged $50 for packing supplies which I agreed to up front, but the only thing used was one thin strip of plastic to hold a cabinet door shut. They did no packing and no securing of my items in the truck, or at all aside from less than a pennies worth of plastic. I guess I should have zip tied it myself, but I expected to get my $50 worth. I clearly told the owner when setting this up that there would be 4 stops. He says I did not. There is no excuse for the things they did. They even threw my pillows on the dirty floor of the storage unit where were doing the final unload. I had to pick these and other things up and move them to make sure that stuff was safe and stacked better. As it is, it was too much for me- that is why I hired movers. I will still need to take a friend back and unload everything out of the storage unit and put it all back in a way where I will be able to access it, and also so that it is stacked sensibly. I even told the movers this. My desk was broken too. I told one guy (Corey) that it was very fragile and that it was always difficult to move. Even so, it has been moved by friends in the past month and was fully intact. My boyfriend was trying to show them how to stand it up to where the sturdy and heavier side was on the bottom so that it would not break from its own weight. They blamed him for the fact that despite his warning- THEY did not do this and it broke. The guy said "it's nothing a little wood glue can't fix". True. That's the spirit! Why should I be fixing my stuff after paying over $790 for this move. The move took 6 hours with some downtime included. I still have stuff to repair but have not had the time. Of course, I guess my time is not worth anything. In one of the photos I sent Noah the owner, he said he saw a glue line where my drawers had been previously repaired. Yes, I bought these used. I told him that. This furniture has been fine for 15+ years and 7 moves- not a crack. There is a deep gouge in the basement door where I moved from. I told (Paul) the mover not to worry about it because we needed to paint anyway. I felt bad for him because he looked visibly upset when I saw him do it. I try to be a nice person- too nice. I was trying to make a difficult move as efficient as possible by hiring a company rather that having 2 friends and a Uhaul take a day to do this. Next time I will get the Uhaul and my friends who will do a clean, considerate, and careful job for free. If Noah wants to reply here, I will add to this review by attaching his condescending text messages. I did not take the $34 from him for repairs. I had to tell him to leave me alone and stop making excuses and berating me. I just said that I try to be a nice person. I didn't demand anything for this terrible experience. I was just very upset when I started trying to put my drawers away and and put an end to the day. I called Noah after I realized that I would be up late doing repairs and shaking dirt and sticks out of my underwear. Right away he said there are two sides to every story and that he needed to talk to his guys. Sure, but the sides are not equal when someone pays to have a job done and ends up with a mess- making sure that I take some of the blame. DISCIPLED MOVERS- remember the name. Super impressed with the speed in which they were able to deliver my kitchen cabinets. Noah even answered the phone on a Sunday! The very next Tuesday, these gents picked up my cabinets for me and delivered them to my house. All of the cabinets were wrapped and were in great shape. These men, strong and true to their word. Showed up when they said. Kept in budget. Things went smoothly with no hidden charges as I've experienced in the past. A bad moving experience made me hesitant about using another. Two factors brought me a clearer head in choosing these guys. 1) Their attitude in greeting and explaining everything that was going to happen and the charges. 2) Calling and confirming the times for pick up. Those two factors really helped ease my mind. Then on top of that they are men of God and that was a bonus I was not even aware of. It further confirmed my choice and I was happy. No hidden charges. Top-notch moving service! Noah made it easy to set up and plan our move, offering extra supplies like wardrobe boxes. When the day came, we had Ryan and Cedric as our movers, very professional yet personable people. They understood how important it was to move all of our belongings meticulously and carefully. We had three brand new large pieces of furniture (mattress, bed frame, and couch with chaise) and all three were handled with absolute care, being wrapped and strapped down so no damage came to them. The guys first showed up pretty much on time and we're very polite but that's when it all changed. I used this company as a recommendation from family as I was moving from a 3 bedroom town house to a 3 bedroom home should be simple. Nope it wasn't. Noah was nice enough to send 3 guys to the move I only ever saw two working. One said I'm new to the company today is my first day I understand you have to learn at some point but not when it's costing me $60 an hour to "learn". He would carry one box at a time if the box was to heavy his response was I have to wait for my friends and we wouldn't see him or his friends for 30 mins. At the 4 hour mark my house was still 3/4 full I was beginning to think they were just milking the clock. I started to help and they responded with the client shouldn't be helping, but that was the only way I could get them to move. 12pm came around and it was lunch time and they said the truck was full but I still had half my house still not in the truck, they informed me they were going to take it to my new house unload and return back to pack another load. To this day I don't understand how my whole house wouldn't fit into the truck I moved into the house with a 26ft truck but they couldn't do it. They packed up and went to my new home, once they got there it took them close to another 2 hours to unload. Noah showed up to help them at the request of my wife. Once he got there they moved a course a lot faster. He explained that they said there was a small load back at the other house and they would return to go get it I laughed and said it's not small. Noah said he would discount hours and mileage from the move for taking so long. So we returned to the old house when we got there even Noah said it wasn't a small load. They packed up the top floors and I told them I still have the garage I informed them I told them about it when they first arrived, Noah came around the corner and said this isn't a garage I advised him that I told his guys it's not my fault they didn't listen. Once we left I still have stuff they didn't take at my old house. We got to the new house and unpacked the truck in total it took this crew 12 hours to move a 3 bedroom house. In comparison I did the exact same move 3 years ago moving from Albuquerque to Denver I moved with 3 guys packed my truck drove to Denver and unloaded it in 12 hours. It took them the same amount of time to go 20 miles. And had to do multiple trips. Yeah Noah discounted 2 hours of time but charged for 50 miles which I don't get where that number came from. Because it was 20 miles to my new one where did the other 30 miles come from. In all it was not worth the $1,800 I spent. I don't know how everyone else had bills of $500-800, mine wasn't even close. I will never use this company again. Oh one last note if you don't want trash and throw up in your street when their done don't hire them. read more
