Relaxing after her spa day

Friendly on the phone, explained services thoroughly, place is clean, quit and calm. My dog hadn't had a full groom before and I felt very safe leaving her. They were quick and I especially loved the amazing job they did on her nails. Oh and prices are very fair. Will definitely return.

We take our senior chihuahua here for a nail trim every month and all of the technicians are so sweet and gentle with her! 10/10 recommend

I was dog sitting for family for a few weeks and decided to have him groomed before the dog gets picked up to go home. I wanted a more non-corporate place and found Dirty Paws. Rachel did a fantastic job with the dog. He tends to be squirmy and does not like his paws touched and refuses to be brushed even when his parents try to do it. It's challenging for sure. But Rachel did a fantastic job! She even got out his tear stains/eye boogers. It's been tough for me because he absolutely refuses to get his face wiped, much less his eye area. Thank you for your patience with him and he looks amazing!

Calm and content at pick up

Dirty Paws did a great job giving my dog the royal treatment. He came home smelling clean and was not anxious at pick up. He's normally a pretty chill old fella, but there have been times he was anxious at pick up from other groomers but not this time. The shop is clean, busy but not loud, and very friendly. We will definitely be back! Isaac is the groomer who took great care and did the grooming, very patient and gave a quick report of how our dog did and issues he saw for us to be aware. Very much appreciated. Price is very decent and based on the experience, worth the money. Thank you Dirty Paws/Isaac!

This is my first time bringing my dogs to Dirty Paws. I brought one of my dogs and my mother in laws dog for a full groom and the charges were reasonable and they did an excellent job. Rachel did the grooming and she did a beautiful cut on the Chiuasky (Chihuahua/Husky mix). And the dogs were very happy when I picked them up which made me feel even better. One is quite vocal like a purebred husky if she is not happy. And I LOVE the little snap on bow collars that they were given after grooming. I had been having my dogs groomed for years at another location a few miles away from here and had enough of their constant jacking up rates.

I think they hired a new groomer because I've been to this location several times and never had any issues until yesterday. We too our labradoodle in for a groom and a haircut as we've done 3 other times. I get a phone call that they need to stop the groom because our dog is nervous and won't let the groomer cut her hair and it's not safe. I ask if they can continue with just washing and the groomer gets on the phone and says it's not safe and they have to stop. She tells me we need to get her sedatives from the vet before bringing her back. I tell her that's odd because we were just there in September and had no issue. She tells me "it shows the last time she was here was over a year ago, maybe the records are under a different name." That makes no sense because our dog is only 10 months old and I absolutely brought her in September (photo 1). My husband goes to pick up the dog and sends me a photo (photo 2). They had attempted to completely shave her face and neck. We have NEVER had this happen. For dogs like ours, you are supposed to use scissors, especially on the face. And they were using a choke collar, which we never use at home. I am super disappointed as I thought we had found our grooming place but I will not be back.

He has a very kind, gentle demeanor and can tell he's truly a dog whisperer. We love his grooming technique and follows instruction / direction very well. We will miss Aaron as he embarks on his next adventure! Overall, as a studio, Bitches-N-Bubbles is a really cute, clean space. We have tried several groomers in the area, but ever since we found Bitches-N-Bubbles, we haven't deviated!

This is the 3rd grooming place that we tried near downtown Long Beach and I think we're going to…read morestick with this one from now on. The other place we tried was a little more expensive and they wouldn't itemize stuff. Always wanted us to do the whole full package even when our dog only needed 1 thing done. The other place that we tried would keep our dog for 3-4 hours for a full package thingy and when she got home she didn't even look that freshly groomed (and a little bit oily instead lol). Anyway, this time I decided to do a little more research on the most recommended place and I found this place. I was curious why the reviews were really good and it's actually not far from downtown LB either. It's right next to the Superior Grocers. It was really easy to book the appointment online and I could mix and match whatever services my pug needed. She doesn't need a haircut , so we only opted for a wash which included nail trim and ear cleaning, and I added the teeth cleaning, anal gland express, and the itchy bath add-on (something to soothe her itchiness). For a first time customer, you get a 10%. Once I got there and checked in, Sandra took my pup and took care of her and told me that it's going to take 45min-1hr. And sure enough I got a call that it's finished after an hour. When I picked up my pup and paying, Sandra told me several stuff that I ordered that they didn't end up charging me: they will give something to soothe her itchiness for free - the paying part is only for a specific flea shampoo, and when they tried to express her anal gland nothing came out so she took off the charge for that too. I like how transparent they are with the price and cost of service. She also advised me to take my pup more frequently to get her nail trim (doesn't have to be a full service), which I appreciate. Lastly, they gave me a card with a stamp, in which you'll get $15 discount after 5 visits. Amazing! My pup came back fresh and smells really good. Thank you and we'll be back.

The quality of work is impeccable... they spend a lot of time with her and she enjoys her time getting pampered. They truly care about all animals. My dad saw a dog walking alone on the street. It seemed he couldn't find his owner. This place took the dog in without hesitation, cleaned him up and then helped to find his owner. Come to find out the owner was disabled with nowhere to stay and couldn't walk his dog so the dog was essentially walking himself. All that to say they went out of their way to help which is rare and the dog and his owner were happily reunited! Pricing is reasonable for the quality of work. This place is clean, ethical and a joy to come to each week. They also always give our pup the cutest little handkerchiefs! Thank you Purrfect! And Baanou says thank you also :)

Purrfect Pet TERROR!…read more My experience with them. I made an 11:30am appointment for Saturday September 26th, 2026. I dropped my cat Bella off at 11:30am for a grooming and haircut. They said that it would take approximately 4 hours which I thought was a long time but regretfully went with it. I had not heard from them four hours later so I texted them asking how my cat was. They responded that they were still working on her. 5 o'clock rolls around and I'm kinda freaked. I texted again saying that it's after 5p and that I was on my way to pick up Bella. They responded while I was on the way that she was not ready. I get there and asked them what was going on. A heavier set woman with a Richie Cunningham haircut said that she tried to cut her hair before bathing her but her hair was too greasy which is BS btw. Also, they would not let me see her. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Mistake on my part. It's 5:15p at this point. I went home hoping for the best. 7p rolls around and I'm totally freaking out at this point! I tried calling and no answer so I texted again saying that it was after 7p and asked if she was close to being done. Bella has now been there over 7 hours!! they responded 15 minutes later saying that it was going to cost $110 dollars, cash only and that she was ready to pick up. I went back again, put the money on the table, grabbed my cat and drove home to find her still wet, no haircut and miserable! Infuriating and extremely painful and sad! I'm in touch with the Better Business Bureau as well as this review. Purrfect Pet Parlor has no business being a business in my opinion. Horrible business, horrible people! I am attaching screenshots of our back and forth texts. If you hate your pets and want to torture them, PURRFECT PET PARLOR is your spot!!

I brought my 6 month old Pomeranian puppy here a little after 4pm, hoping to find a long-term…read moregrooming home where I could continue taking him as he grows. Unfortunately, my experience left me very disappointed. I was quoted a base price of $120, with the first 30 minutes of dematting included and any additional dematting billed at $1 per minute. I understood there could be additional charges if my puppy required extra work. However, what I did not expect was for the cost to continue increasing without any communication. Around 8:40pm, I checked in and was told they had just started drying him. Based on that update, I told them to take their time because I believed the appointment was nearing completion. I was never contacted to let me know the bill was approaching several hundred dollars or to ask whether I wanted them to continue. Instead, my puppy remained at the salon until approximately 11:15pm, nearly seven hours after drop-off. After waiting all evening, I was the one who finally texted to let them know I was coming to pick him up because the appointment had gone on far longer than expected. I also let them know it was okay if he wasn't finished, as it was already very late and the appointment had gone on for nearly seven hours. When I arrived, I was told they had spent four hours dematting him, resulting in a final bill of $400. What was especially frustrating is that, despite the lengthy appointment and significant cost, the groom was not completed. I was offered the option to bring him back another day to finish the service. I understand that severely matted dogs require additional time and that groomers deserve to be compensated for that work. My concern is the lack of communication as the cost continued to climb and the amount of time my young puppy spent at the salon for an unfinished groom. A quick phone call to discuss the options or to place a limit on the charges would have gone a long way. I do want to acknowledge that Sivan was kind and professional during our interactions. My concerns are not about the friendliness of the staff, but rather the communication around the cost, the length of the appointment, and the fact that the groom was not completed. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I won't be returning.

Lily recently had an eye surgery, so I was paranoid reading reviews for other groomers. We'd prefer to keep the eye we still have. Soggy Dog definitely lives up to its 5-star reviews! Just in case anyone else is reading this that has a one-eyed dog (or any dog with blindness), Tanyss's most recent rescue is a one-eyed dog too, so that made me feel much better :) APPOINTMENT/COMMUNICATION: I called on Thursday but they were closed for a staff event; they got back to me asap by text & I ended up scheduling for Saturday afternoon. Elle called when Lily was almost done (only 30 mins later). Their communication is very quick and clear so if you have any questions regarding services, feel free to ask ahead of time! PAYMENT: They accept cash and check, but you get free enzymatic teeth brushing if you pay cash! My dog is 9-10lbs & pricing depends on weight, but for an all-inclusive flea bath (nails, teeth, blueberry facial, gland expression) I paid less than $50 before tip. That is significantly less than I've been charged at other places. Tanyss even explained that with the rising costs of living, they strive to make such services affordable :) MY FEARFUL REACTIVE DOG: was very comfortable here. When I picked her up, Elle (we share a name!!) was holding her & Lily wasn't shaking?? She also wasn't desperate to leave; she was so chill?? Keep in mind this is the same Lily who loses it if I bring her to a pet store (another place that smells like a bunch of dogs have been there). Do not get me started on the vet--this chihuahua acts like she's being deployed. She was confused when we first tried to enter, & Elle (as in not me Elle) suggested I pick her up so she doesn't get out of her harness, which is TOO accurate bc that exact thing has happened to us sooooooo many times. Elle clearly knows dogs, haha. But when I picked her up, she couldn't be more chill! PARKING: So turns out you can stop at the red loading zone right in front for pickup/drop-off, & Elle even explained that if the police pull up, they'll bat for you as a client who was literally unloading a dog, LOL. I didn't see the text about the loading zone & ended up parked a few blocks down the street, because parking in this area is a struggle. Use the loading zone! Save yourself! It was a last minute appointment needed for the little pup and with the help of Yelp, we found Sara. I put in a searched which came up with places for what I was looking for. There were a few places that came up but she was the first to reach out. The sweet conversation explained what I was looking for and she replied professionally with what services they offered. Between a few back and forth we were able to get him in last minute. She squeezed us in day off which we were very thankful of. The place itself was in a mini strip mall with a few other businesses. A thrift/vintage shop, a bar, a few coffee shops, hair salon and nail shop. There's a decent size parking lot but when we arrived it was packed but lucky enough to find a spot. When we walked in, it was a little confusing as it was a vet. The ladies behind the counters were all sweet when we checked in but wasn't sure we were at the right place. Well, it's a vet and groomers on site. It was just a couple minutes wait till Sara came out to greet us. First off, she's such a doll and sweetheart. Very professional and takes pride in what she does. Chatted with here for a little bit about what we wanted before handing over the little pup to her. We were quoted about 2 and half hour or so which she'll call us 20 minutes before hand to let us know he'll be ready soon. Freddie Mercury was in good hand. Picking him up, he was such a cutie. The bathing, cut and grooming was great. Nails were cut and file for that nice finished look. Also he had the cutest little bow tie on which was the little icing on the cake. From the chat on Yelp, Sara explained all the pricing and services ahead of time to give us the breakdown. As it was our first time, she did take good care of us with everything. Total for everything and extra add on including gratuity and discounts for first time, it was just short of 130.00. Price wise for everything was good. It was worth it and her service was very well worth it. Even though we're not from the area and it was a last minute appointment, we're keeping her in our book as we'll be back in town again and know Freddie will be in good hands next time. The place was very professional and clean. There's a drinks section with a mini fridge of drinks and a water station for refilling your bottles and coffee machine. It was busy which is great for them. Sara, a professional and sweet person who has a special skills for what she does. Friendly, sweet and a doll. Highly recommend Sara.
