We found this place on Yelp which was amazing. Called a few places which no availability or they were closed. It was a last minute appointment needed for the little pup and with the help of Yelp, we found Sara. I put in a searched which came up with places for what I was looking for. There were a few places that came up but she was the first to reach out. The sweet conversation explained what I was looking for and she replied professionally with what services they offered. Between a few back and forth we were able to get him in last minute. She squeezed us in day off which we were very thankful of. The place itself was in a mini strip mall with a few other businesses. A thrift/vintage shop, a bar, a few coffee shops, hair salon and nail shop. There's a decent size parking lot but when we arrived it was packed but lucky enough to find a spot. When we walked in, it was a little confusing as it was a vet. The ladies behind the counters were all sweet when we checked in but wasn't sure we were at the right place. Well, it's a vet and groomers on site. It was just a couple minutes wait till Sara came out to greet us. First off, she's such a doll and sweetheart. Very professional and takes pride in what she does. Chatted with here for a little bit about what we wanted before handing over the little pup to her. We were quoted about 2 and half hour or so which she'll call us 20 minutes before hand to let us know he'll be ready soon. Freddie Mercury was in good hand. Picking him up, he was such a cutie. The bathing, cut and grooming was great. Nails were cut and file for that nice finished look. Also he had the cutest little bow tie on which was the little icing on the cake. From the chat on Yelp, Sara explained all the pricing and services ahead of time to give us the breakdown. As it was our first time, she did take good care of us with everything. Total for everything and extra add on including gratuity and discounts for first time, it was just short of 130.00. Price wise for everything was good. It was worth it and her service was very well worth it. Even though we're not from the area and it was a last minute appointment, we're keeping her in our book as we'll be back in town again and know Freddie will be in good hands next time. The place was very professional and clean. There's a drinks section with a mini fridge of drinks and a water station for refilling your bottles and coffee machine. I take my pug here and I just want to say all the staff is always so nice. My pug HATES his feet being touched and will get super wiggly so it's so difficult to cut his nails, but they work miracles here and are able to trim his nails down so well. His fur feels so soft after and the bath/desheddings help to reduce the amount he normally sheds. He always comes out so happy and wants to go back in with the groomers lol so I know they treat him kindly there. He also always comes out with a cute bandanna! Will continue to come back! read more

You're greeted by a very clean and spacious lobby that's attached to the LBC vet office. The receptionist is very kind and welcome. The groomer, Roxanne, may be new, but she took excellent care of my corgi, Cherry, who came back looking poised and polished (as all corgis should lol). Very Disappointing Customer Service and Extremely High Prices Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with this dog grooming business. The prices are significantly higher--roughly 30-40% more, in my experience--than what I've found at other comparable dog grooming businesses in the Long Beach area. What was especially frustrating is that they have fixed pricing regardless of the size or weight of the dog. For example, I was told that a 4-lb dog would be charged the same price as a 20-lb dog. I also found their policy regarding nail trimming very unreasonable: if you want your dog's nails trimmed, they require a wash as part of the service, which adds approximately $65 to the cost. I initially spoke with Jacqueline and asked to speak with the owner. Jacqueline seemed reluctant to transfer me, but eventually did. I was hoping that speaking directly with the owner would lead to a more customer-focused and flexible response. Unfortunately, I received essentially the same unfriendly and inflexible response. I understand that businesses have policies and set prices, but good customer service should also include listening to customers and making an effort to address their concerns respectfully. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Based on my experience, I would recommend comparing prices and policies with other local groomers before booking. read more

This is a great little groomers if you are looking to give your pup special attention and care! Being a groomer is tough, so I feel like a lot of other places can overlook giving your pup enough time to relax since grooming can be very stressful for them. I can tell that Sara does a great job at not rushing the process. This place is also located inside LBC Vets. There is a small parking lot with a couple of parking spots designated for the vet office. I've been to about 4 other groomers around LB and I'd say this place is probably almost double the price in comparison. You absolutely get what you pay for though! I could tell my dog was much more relaxed here compared to other places. Since Sara is the only groomer, then your pup won't be near other pups, which is great if your pup is anxious or overly excited! I got the regular bath with tidy trim (paws, sanitary, feathering) for my Aussie for $105 + $25 (trimming) + $40 (de-shedding). One of the things that every other groomer has had a hard time getting right is trimming her paws, so I showed Sara a photo of what I wanted and she did such a great job! That alone is priceless! Overall, I can tell my pup felt comfortable, so I would return. read more

This is the first time I've been very happy with a groomer in years. So glad to have found this place. I actually found someone here who can strip my Norwich terrier's coat. And she does it with good humor and is efficient! Being able to strip a terrier's coat is a real talent and time consuming, so it's difficult to find a groomer to offer this. We've had him done two times now, and he's got his red fur coat back now for the first time in a couple of years. Can't recommend enough. The only snafu has been having to wait a couple of times when picking him up over 15 minutes. They're part of a vet's office, and the staff forgot to tell the groomer we were there for pick-up. So make sure the reception staff is communicating if you find yourself waiting a long time at pick up. read more

I'm sorry but if it included a special treat, puppy playtime or a walk I could see why the price. I want to share my positive experience at The Bark Boutique. I discovered the Bark Boutique on Google and I'm extremely satisfied with the service. One convenience is that they already have my 2 dogs' information because the same spot where LBC Vets is located so I didn't need to provide proof of vaccination. Additionally, the location is very close to where I live. The facility is exceptionally clean and they offer water and coffee services. The restroom is also well-maintained. When I arrived I informed Sara K. That I was only interested in a flee bath and a haircut. After I left my dog there I called asking Sara to cut my dog's hair as short as possible, at which time she informed me that for the haircut alone would be $135.00 I told her that wasn't the price we had agreed on. After an argument she agreed to a flea bath and haircut for $100.00 When I arrived to pick up my dog she told me that she was not "able to remove all of the fleas because there were too many of them". When I arrived home I inspected my dog and she was totally full of fleas. This can only mean that my dog was never given a flea bath at all. Also, when I called back to speak to Sara I was just put on hold for 10 minutes and just left there. I strongly recommend to anyone looking for a dog groomer to not use this place, and I will be going back to Petco where I can count on honesty and being treated with the respect I deserve. You can say whatever you want. Your posting is full of lies. You should be responsible enough to admit when you delivered less than the professional service we had agreed on. It's really convenient that there's grooming services inside my dog Ivy's vet office. I'm a relatively new dog owner and it was such a relief to have one less decision to make in finding a regular groomer for a Cavachon puppy without having to go all over town. I appreciate Sara's approach to the experience with her one-on-one service. It's always quiet when I drop Ivy off and when I pick her up which gives me peace of mind that my puppy is having a considerably less stressful time than she would with the chaos at other grooming salons.
