Came here after desperately looking for a place to groom my 6 month old pup after a cancellation with our usual groomer . Ana was able to squeeze us in on a same day appointment. Due to us waiting for him to be fully vaccinated to proceed with his first cut my guy went in a hot mess !This was my pups first haircut and omg did Ana deliver ! He went in a shaggy mess and came out a prized looking pup! He smelled amazing , his cut was even and he was happy. I loved that she commented how well of a dog he is because he really is and she noticed .I was in fear that I'd get back an overly short hair cut for him but no She left his hair long enough to look like a cuddly little bear , so cute ! I just love taking my dog here. Service is amazing, they don't take long & appointments are not too far out. I love that her bows stay on for weeks, we can shower her at home and they still stay on. They were accommodating and let me make an appointment next day. In addition, they were finished with grooming my dog exactly at the time they let me know to come back. A plus is that they added bows! My dog is usually one to easily remove anything that I put on her but this bow lasted two weeks! I loved it. Will definitely continue bringing my dog here!

My dogs are very nervous around people, other dogs and loud noises but they always come out of splish splash wags excited and happy. I have been taking my two long haired chihuahua mixes here for a few years and the women who work here are always very helpful, professional and gentle with my dogs. My dogs even get excited to see her when they walk in lol. Neat, clean grooming, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend! read more

Update! We're still going to Splish Splash and although we don't come frequently (I wait until my pup's hair gets pretty long) Anna always remembers us and is so friendly! She is so reliable and the only person I've found who can work with my anxious dog who tends to snarl when he's scared. She is so patient with him and he's used to her now. The grooming is consistently excellent quality, and she does exactly what I ask for for my Maltipoo (summer cut.. short all around except on the tail). Their prices are very reasonable too! read more

Employee was really nice and friendly. I don't know if she was the owner or not but as far as customer service she was very good . I was impressed with the prices too definitely worth it. my baby came out, looking like a princess. She had two pretty pink bows on her head and smelled heavenly. Her nails were nicely trimmed. What can I say about this business other than they do an extremely amazing job! They take great care of my dog, groom him very well and quickly. They always take the time to cut out his mats, cut his nails and trim his hair. They wash him add an adorable bandanna every time! I took him to another place in Huntington Beach and they did an awful job in comparison. Not to mention their great prices. I could not be more appreciative to have such a great grooming place in my local community. There's also a cute dog park just up the street so the location is great! read more

I really liked this place . I have a senior dog who is over 16 years old and it's hard to find a place I can trust until I thought I could bring him here . Today the lady told me we can't bring him because he's too nervous . This was odd to hear because I've never heard anyone say this before. So I asked if he was crying or shaking and they said no it's because his back was hunched the whole time . Then I explained that he has his hunched now for almost a year due to his old age . I've taken him to the vet and they said it's normal for his age . I explained this to her but she still blamed it on him being scared. It's really sad that he's being turned away basically for his old age. Also noticed one of the warts he had was cut and bleeding which was not the case before. read more

Great amazing work! I have four (4) West Highland White Terriers and it's hard to keep up with their hair. I made an appointment based on the Yelp reviews and I can tell you, the customer service at this place is amazing. I brought one of my Westies who was fully matted as she went under the house to give birth. By the time we were able to get her and her pups out from underneath, her fur was a mess. I gave the dog a light bath because she was super dirty. But I also didn't want her to lose her scent for the pups to continue feeding. Once the pups started opening their eyes and walking, I decided it was time to take her for a hair cut. Nothing complicated, a simple short cut to let her fur grow back healthy again. They did an amazing job. Will definitely continue to use them in the future. Very friendly staff and my dog was happy and calm when I picked her up. Very affordable prices. read more

Been coming here since last year and I've been happy with their service and how my girls look every time. They used to be so nervous with the old groomers but not here and I like that. Grooming 2 dogs doesn't take them a long time either. I used to wait all day for 2 dogs, but here, it takes them about an hour or two. There are plenty of parking and it's not hard to get to. Splish Splash is a small groomer in Bixby Knolls. Ana loves the dogs and does a great job on Puddin. I found her by accident and it was a happy accident. I started coming here after my mobile groomer flaked on me (almost a year now) It was after July 4 th so Max was already nervous. I was a little nervous at first when dropping him off( being the establishment located in this what seemed like a seedy strip mall etc) but they made him and me feel comfortable. When I picked Max up she gave me a full report on how Max did. I discovered this little gem on my way to the post office and have been bringing my dog Darby ever…read moresince! He takes baths at home, but I entrust the nail grinding to the team at Purrfect. Since Darby came from a hoarding situation, he is usually nervous about going into any parlor - but the staff here always treats him so kindly and trim his nails super fast. The first time we came it so happened to be the week of the Grand Prix, so they gave Darby a racing stripe bandana (SO CUTE)! I've noticed most clients are small dogs, and highly recommend this local spot for their great service and reasonable rates ($15 for aforementioned nail trim; most big box pet stores charge $20 minimum). The front section is for haircuts and pedicures, and back section is for baths and spa treatments. Don't forget to pick up a beef or salmon treat for your pup on the way out!

Unfortunately, my experience left me very disappointed. I was quoted a base price of $120, with the first 30 minutes of dematting included and any additional dematting billed at $1 per minute. I understood there could be additional charges if my puppy required extra work. However, what I did not expect was for the cost to continue increasing without any communication. Around 8:40pm, I checked in and was told they had just started drying him. Based on that update, I told them to take their time because I believed the appointment was nearing completion. I was never contacted to let me know the bill was approaching several hundred dollars or to ask whether I wanted them to continue. Instead, my puppy remained at the salon until approximately 11:15pm, nearly seven hours after drop-off. After waiting all evening, I was the one who finally texted to let them know I was coming to pick him up because the appointment had gone on far longer than expected. I also let them know it was okay if he wasn't finished, as it was already very late and the appointment had gone on for nearly seven hours. When I arrived, I was told they had spent four hours dematting him, resulting in a final bill of $400. What was especially frustrating is that, despite the lengthy appointment and significant cost, the groom was not completed. I was offered the option to bring him back another day to finish the service. I understand that severely matted dogs require additional time and that groomers deserve to be compensated for that work. My concern is the lack of communication as the cost continued to climb and the amount of time my young puppy spent at the salon for an unfinished groom. A quick phone call to discuss the options or to place a limit on the charges would have gone a long way. I do want to acknowledge that Sivan was kind and professional during our interactions. My concerns are not about the friendliness of the staff, but rather the communication around the cost, the length of the appointment, and the fact that the groom was not completed. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I won't be returning.

Lily recently had an eye surgery, so I was paranoid reading reviews for other groomers. We'd prefer to keep the eye we still have. Soggy Dog definitely lives up to its 5-star reviews! Just in case anyone else is reading this that has a one-eyed dog (or any dog with blindness), Tanyss's most recent rescue is a one-eyed dog too, so that made me feel much better :) APPOINTMENT/COMMUNICATION: I called on Thursday but they were closed for a staff event; they got back to me asap by text & I ended up scheduling for Saturday afternoon. Elle called when Lily was almost done (only 30 mins later). Their communication is very quick and clear so if you have any questions regarding services, feel free to ask ahead of time! PAYMENT: They accept cash and check, but you get free enzymatic teeth brushing if you pay cash! My dog is 9-10lbs & pricing depends on weight, but for an all-inclusive flea bath (nails, teeth, blueberry facial, gland expression) I paid less than $50 before tip. That is significantly less than I've been charged at other places. Tanyss even explained that with the rising costs of living, they strive to make such services affordable :) MY FEARFUL REACTIVE DOG: was very comfortable here. When I picked her up, Elle (we share a name!!) was holding her & Lily wasn't shaking?? She also wasn't desperate to leave; she was so chill?? Keep in mind this is the same Lily who loses it if I bring her to a pet store (another place that smells like a bunch of dogs have been there). Do not get me started on the vet--this chihuahua acts like she's being deployed. She was confused when we first tried to enter, & Elle (as in not me Elle) suggested I pick her up so she doesn't get out of her harness, which is TOO accurate bc that exact thing has happened to us sooooooo many times. Elle clearly knows dogs, haha. But when I picked her up, she couldn't be more chill! PARKING: So turns out you can stop at the red loading zone right in front for pickup/drop-off, & Elle even explained that if the police pull up, they'll bat for you as a client who was literally unloading a dog, LOL. I didn't see the text about the loading zone & ended up parked a few blocks down the street, because parking in this area is a struggle. Use the loading zone! Save yourself! SUMMARY: Lily has her new grooming place :)))

When we arrived, the groomer, Gloria, greeted us warmly, really listened to what I wanted, and immediately understood exactly what my pup needed. When I picked him up, I was blown away. He looked AMAZING--calm, happy, and honestly like he didn't even want to leave. I love that they're kennel-free, so the dogs aren't locked up before or after grooming. I was wondering why the last couple of times my baby won't want to go in I even had to walk him in which I thought it was odd he has never done this. When I was taking him I saw how she was using force on a white poodle when she saw me she started to caressing the dog she greeted me and took my dog again I need to walk with him in order for him to go with her so I started to tie the nots I mention what I saw at this point I saw the dog shaking I felt so bad for the poor baby. The so call owner started to get an attitude I was very uncomfortable leaving my dog at this point so I told her to give me back my dog. She was like good because your dog bites I was I'm sorry you have groomed this dog since was a puppy and all of sudden it bites NO YOU MISTREATED ANIMALS OF COURSE THEY GOING TO FIGHT BACK my dog NEVER has shown aggression NEVER no wonder my dog doesn't want to go in. If I could leave 0 stars I would!!! The women there were scattered all over the place, for 1, we stared at them from the front waiting for someone to acknowledge that we were there. When they finally did, they took my small dog to the back to cut her nails, but instead, we just heard her SCREAMING! My dog handles the groomers very well and we usually never have a problem where we normally take her but they were closed so we thought why not try this place out? Big mistake!! They cut toes on ALL of her paws and made her bleed!! She was so anxious to leave that place! When I looked at her paws she was still bleeding on a couple of toes and they were so HORRIBLY done!!! NEVER will I take my dog back to this butcher!! AVOID this place if possible!!! read more

This place is convenient and accommodating. I had sort of an emergency with my dog after I got back from vacation. Anna was able to see my dog, Coco the next day. The place is quiet and clean, groomer listened to my concerns and asked me exactly what Type of haircut I wanted. 1.5 hrs later, I was pleased to see Coco very calm and happy to see me without any cuts. That should probably tell you how much we love it here. Artemis absolutely loves going to daycare every day. She is still a puppy with A LOT of energy, so daycare has been great for helping her burn some of that off while also socializing with other dogs. She is also deaf, so being around other dogs has been really helpful for her as she continues learning social cues and how to navigate the world a little differently. I've also used their training services. I'm not going to lie, Artemis is stubborn, so we are still a work in progress, lol. But she has definitely picked up some commands, and one huge improvement is that she no longer pulls me down the street when we walk! One of my favorite things about PetSet is the cameras. I probably check them more than I should throughout the day, but I love being able to see her playing and having fun. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing I can check in on her whenever I want. I also love that they treat daycare like an actual daycare. They have activities, arts and crafts, picture days, and other little special events for the dogs. I have gotten some of the cutest pictures of Artemis from them. It really feels like she is going to school sometimes. I've also used PetSet for boarding, and it made leaving her so much easier knowing she was staying somewhere she already knew and loved. I highly recommend PetSet. Artemis is happy there, I have peace of mind while she's there, and the staff have always made us feel welcome. At this point, it really has become part of her routine and one of her favorite places.
