We LOVE You Dirty Dog Mindy and her crew are the BEST ! I have been taking my 2 dogs a Frenchie and an American Bully and they love going to get groomed. Miss Nina was desperate for a bath after our daily beach runs, I needed to get her clean for the holidays ASAP! I called this morning as soon as You Dirty Dog opened at 8 am and the phone picked up after two rings - excellent sign already They said they had two cancellations so to bring her in for a bath as soon as possible, we arrived at 8.30 and she was whisked away for her spa day. I have been searching for over 6 months for a groomer who would grind my dog's nails as I hold her.......so many groomers either didn't respond to my inquiry or refused to allow me to hold my dog and insisted on a drop off or taking my small terrier to the back...... One simple call here and my call was returned promptly, told they could accommodate me as a walk in, reasonable price, and yes I could hold my pup during the nail grind. If I could give this place -1 star I would. My fiance called the day before to specify what we wanted done on our baby. On 9/28 my fiancé and I took our babygirl Zoe' who is a miniature long haired chocolate and cream dachshund to get just a wash, anal glands cut and toe nail trimmings. WE NEVER SPECIFIED WE WANTED ANYTHING CUT ON HER HAIR AT ALL. Also it was on the card for the washer/groomer to see needs to be done to the pup. They advised it would take about an hour and a half to get her washed, anal glands cut and toe nail trimmings. We returned about an hour later just to make sure everything was ok, while my fiance stayed in the lobby he seen that Zoe' was being taken to the back for the grooming portion. The groomer then proceeded to cut her hairs on her butt and then her ears. My fiance was watching because if he wasn't there the groomer would have then proceeded to trim the rest of her fur all over her body. My fiance yelled to Mandy and the groomer to tell her to stop! Mandy proceeded to go over there and take Zoe' from her because the groomer did not read the card nor even bother to listen when she was told to stop. When my fiance got our baby back her butt swirls and hairs on her ears were trimmed and we were completely hurt because we never wanted our baby to get a trim and thats what we decided because thats our baby. My fiance called to complain about the groomer and they offered a free wash for Zoe'. We didn't to bring her back because of rapport that was lost because the groomer did not listen or read the card therefore we called to asked if we could bring our mom's puppy for the free wash and they stated it was company policy that we werent able to get the free wash to our moms dog. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND to get your dog groomed here unless you don't care if they don't listen or read/follow specific instructions. read more

The woman I spoke to said, without even touching her, that she was matted, I ran my fingers through her hair showing her that she was not matted, I brush her daily. When I arrived to pick her up she was in fact severely shaved. All her curls are gone! There's uneven cut hair and bald spots everywhere. I will never ever return here again. You Dirt Dog totally rocks! They have been grooming my crazy little Bichon Frise Ginger for years, and now they also see my 110 pound American Bulldog since he was a puppy too. Ginger and Wasabi never love a bath but they love Kathy and Nicole at You Dirty Dog, so that's good enough for me. These guys not only groom my babies beautifully, they also alert me to any weird lumps, hot spots, or growths they find on their bodies. Ginger had a cyst removed last year and currently we are watching a strange growth on Wasabi's inner ear. I like that. My dog is a rescue and we adopted him from the pound the beginning of August. I waited a couple months to make sure he was updated on all his vaccinations and make sure he was healthy before taking him to be groomed so his fur was in pretty bad shape and needed grooming big-time. In November I brought him here and I absolutely loved it! I let them know that he was a rescue and was very skittish but he did great with them. I couldn't believe it because he doesn't act that comfortable with anyone. They did a great job with cleaning and trimming him. He looked like a whole new pup! Here is the before and after pictures!
