If I could give no stars I would. I have hated this service since we signed up in December 2015. Satellite will not communicate and we have been without TV since August 15...they're not sending anyone to repair until September 1. They don't give a hoot if I was going to cancel my service and their CSR are complete idiots!! Google Fiber hurry up with our install for cryin' out loud!! In addition, Yelp indicates that DirectV is open 24 hours and that's not true. They may answer phones 24 hours but that doesn't mean anything will get fixed. That's not 24 hours. read more

I've been a happy customer since 1999, I really like the service and the innovative offerings that they provide before others in the market. Customer service has always been top notch...THEN AT&T BOUGHT THEM! Customer service has never been worse. For instance, yesterday, the installers were to come out and upgrade my equipment. I received robot calls at 7am and 10am confirming that the technician would be there between our scheduled 8am-noon service. At noon, the technician called and said that we was not going to make it because he locked his keys in the truck and didn't want to come out today. This was after waiting 2 weeks for a date. My only option was to call the 800 number and reschedule. The first date that they would allow was 2 weeks out, and it would be with the same guy. I later found out that AT&T is replacing the DirecTV customer service reps, and that installations scheduled through DirecTV needed to go through their contractor as their contracts have not expired. However, if you go through AT&T, they use AT&T employees to do the installation. I cancelled my DirecTV service and scheduled the service via AT&T, we'll see how that goes. read more

DirectTV app update (not DirectTV Now) is no longer compatible with IOs9. I'm not happy about that. I get that Apple no longer supports IOs9...and that fact is none of my concern. The fact that DirectTV did not program the new update to support IOs9 is what I'm complaining about. I work with developers...there is no reason NOT to program down. Just wondering their agreement contractually obligated them to stop supporting an IOs that is completely functional. I don't buy new technology just because it's old or unsupported and most other consumers don't either. read more

Thanks again for connecting with me on that chat, Seniour! I've got a few items resolved and one new one that I noticed may have occurred in error. I have issued $8.50 for the late fees that were charged, $15.63 for the 5th TV fee, and $198 for the two $99 upgrade fees. This takes care of the current billing statement so no payment is due. For the new item I noticed, in October you were swapped from having just HBO & Showtime premium services for $30.99, you were upgraded to all four premiums: HBO, Starz, Showtime, and Cinemax for $53.99. It appears that this occurred in error while restoring services, I can get this fixed but I wanted to make sure that you didn't want all four, and only wanted the two (HBO and Showtime). Let me know! Thanks! 406-274-9020 Thurs - Mon 10am - 6pm CT. ^PatrickB Social Media Manager. Thank you very much Patrick for resolving my account issues. read more

Recently paid for an upgrade that required installing new equipment. When the installer came to the house he indicated my dish would need to upgraded. I said fine there is the dish mounted on fireplace chimney by Directv some 6+ years ago. The installer said they can no longer get on roofs and the only way he could provide the equipment was to install another dish to a location that could be accessed with a 5' ladder. So now I have 2 dishes on my house for 1 service both an eyesore to the house. Don't use this service, they are all about sales with limited service read more

I was provided by DIRECTV for their service for 15+ years in my home. Their service is terrible they're not helpful when it comes to discontinuing their service and disconnecting their equipment for my home roof. They will not come out and remove their dish from my rooftop in order for me to have my roof replaced therefore I will continue to have issues with my home because I am not able to get my roof redone due to their equipment still being on my roof. Their dish was installed by their technician so I feel DIRECTV should send a technician out to remove that dish from my home because I no longer care to have service from them. Consumers to be aware of DIRECTV and AT&T for their unwilling to help a customer of 15+ years. Make sure you look for a different provider for your tv service.. so you don't fall victim to their horrible service read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. After the technician didn't show up, without even a phone call or an explanation, I tried DAILY for SIX days to resolve my issues and spoke with COUNTLESS staff/supervisors but STILL have not gotten a resolution. Apparently customer service means NOTHING. Sad but true. read more

AT&T is terrible. They lied and told me I had to have direct tv to have the internet, they get me stuck into a contract, which now I cannot get out of. When I spoke to a supervisor in December he told me I don't have to have the tv to have the internet, but asked me to please keep it, to give it a try, since they upgraded my internet service (it works off of a cell phone tower bc I live in the country). He said that if then, the internet was sufficient to call back and he would cancel everything. I get an email that I have gone over my data, so the internet obviously isn't a fit, so I call back today to tell them I want to go ahead abs cancel as it hasn't worked out. They proceed to tell me I owe them $800+ for the cancellation of the contract I was lied into getting, and the overage fees for the internet I was trying to cancel in the first place. They are crooks. read more

I only gave DirectTV one star as there is no way to give them zero stars. They are a colossal waste of time, money and energy!!

Been without service for three weeks, they won't discount my monthly bill at all. Then they want to charge me for a service call to reconnect my dish......they stole $ 120 or so extra from me, but will be losing $1000.00's every future year as I am cancelling my account after more than 40 years, and never missed a payment! Bye AT&T! Your customer service sucks and I remember back when Directv was an industry leader with the best customer service on earth! read more

Would be a decent service if they wouldn't engage in dishonest tricks. A price was clearly advertised when I signed up and then my bill has been going up every couple of months. I've called to complain but it's useless. You can actually start talking to a rep much faster than most companies these days but they are completely useless. The contract is stacked in their favor in every way. The rep just told me that only parts of the package are covered by the price guarantee. ha! So they can raise the price whenever they want as long as they list it as an equipment fee. And that's exactly what they just did to me. It's sad that the company prefers to trick people with fake short term discounts instead of working to gain long term customers. From the very beginning, I have regretted my decision to sign up. I was lured in by the Sunday Ticket. The Good: Sunday ticket The Bad: customer service, billing tricks, on demand (they have to use your internet connection and even though I have a 30mbps connection I still experience constant buffering) read more

Direct TV has given me the worse customer I have ever received. We have had Direct TV since Nov 2018. We live at a campground and moved to different site and now have no service. 2 days in a row a technician has been a no-show. Yestetday when they were a no-show, we were told our service call would be a priority today. And a supervisor would call us. No supervisor call and no technician 2 days in a row. Ibwas yoldvwell since there is Covid 19 technician are running behind! Not just behind, no show not 1 day but.2 days!! Well don't book so many appointments!! I would cancel this service or lack of I should say if I could. We have been passed around to 12 yes 12 diffrent people. Been told no supervisor work and hung up on. Now we someone cannot come for No service call until Monday. read more

This is the WORST carrier you could choose. Terrible customer service, your services will be interrupted every time it rains, and they continue to struggle with software issues causing you to have to reset all the various boxes constantly. (Of course anything you have scheduled to record won't.) They just kept me holding for 10 minutes only to then have a recorded message saying that for reasons beyond their control (LOL!) they couldn't take my call, sorry, goodbye! I waste at least two hours a month jacking around with stuff that shouldn't require any effort from me only to pay through the nose for minimal services. All these companies are awful, but at least with Time-Warner you can watch television when it's raining. read more

If I could give no star, I would. We were offered 25,0000 movies. Local stations and more. First of all it is not user friendly. Second it is S L O W. Most of the decent movies offered are at an additional cost. All in all, a big disappointment and am canceling. I really expected better. Talk about false advertising... Also could not record. I can see no reason to continue. Totally disappointing. read more

DO NOT USE DIRECT TV! I was promised 2 discounts being an AT&T customer by multiple reps even though I told them each time that I am an authorized user on this account. Now I am stuck in this contract with a $350 fee. read more

Most frustrating customer service department ever. The AT&T merger creates a disaster mess for customers. Tossed around a million times, different processes and tools, and complete lack of clarity. Could not even get a simple email from Directv confirming cancelation of our service. Shame of you all for still not having figured out merger and acquisition kinks years later. read more

I would give them zero stars if possible. AT&T reunited direct Tv and now they basically steal from customers by charging them after they cancel the services. They don't prorate your account for the convince of the making extra profit for services customers don't want. I feel like I have been stole from. This is not how you do business or treat customers. The fact you don't prorate customers for their account is out of convince and financial profit of the company. What a scam. Their is a saying have a good customer experience and they will tell 3 friends. Have a bad customer experience and they will tell everyone one the know. My only regret is paying you my hard earned money for the last 5 years. read more

I think that my review should be less than a one. First of all I had a appointment for today June 23, and I received 8 automated calls to confirm my appointment. The appointment was set for today from 8-12 and I had a no show. I called 800-531-5000, talked to 6 customer service reps and 2 supervisors and no one was help to help me or wanted to help me. I called for service after spending 20 minutes talking to the rep the rep said all the only way I can send somebody out to fix your TV is to charge you why would anybody use DirecTV first of all when it rains it goes down worse company ever I went to spectrum have no problem every time I call them for service they come right away matter of fact they come within 24 hours why would you use DirecTV read more

Worst customer service and worst technical department. There is no customer solution department. I have been waiting for the engineering department to check why I can not view my bill online or programming on my app. I combined my bills and that's when the problem started. I have asked to let me out of the contract but Directv will not and have me waiting. I have asked for directv to just reissue me an account if this one has not been recognized and they keep saying they are looking in to it. I asked to separate my DIRECTV account from att and they say it has never been combined and that it looks like it's in the process. And in order to be separated it will take another 2 billing cycles. Bottom line the problem is the accounts are not combining because there is a problem with merging so my programming and online services can not be seen. Transfer after transfer and nothing has been fixed. I will never recommend Directv!! Not worth the customer service not worth wasting your time! Stay Away!! They probably don't even respond to Yelp read more

Please do not use AT&T. I was with them for 10 years and I never had a good experience with their phone support. Most recently I wasted over three hours on the phone trying to get my Satellite hardware upgraded, and stayed home from work for their technician on three different days. A technician never came to my house and each time I called there were different issues with the way the last guy placed order. I finally had enough, and canceled to move to Dish network. When canceling, they told me they wanted my 10 year old hardware back and I needed to waste over an hour more of time taking it to the UPS store. I asked them to come and get it as it was not worth my time. They then threatened me with over $600 of charges and said that should make it worth my time. What a horrible way to treat your customers. read more

Worst customer service around. This company owes me a credit since 09/01/2017 I have called several times at least twice a week ...and all very nice individuals on the phone, have not been able to resolve my issue. LIES AFTER LIES. Cancelled the next day bc...(In sequence) 1. 50 min on the phone two weeks prior to subscribe and find the "perfect bundle". Original internet price quoted was $30 with 2yr cable sub, BUT.... 2. They got my address wrong and int tech took longer to connect only to find out that I need stronger int 1000 (940Mps)@$70! 3. Upsold to int 45M(45Mpbs)bc it's just enough strength for my house. Plus cable guy just nailed a satellite on my roof. Add $20, then $30 after a year. 4.Took 4 hrs for cable & int apmt and now install is $99 bc it's a "different level of int". 5. Both DirectTV&AT&T(same)made both techs job difficult. 6. Turns out, int 45 is NOT even available in my area. Int24(24Mpbs)is the strongest int available for $10 more a yr. 7. Highest int a(25Mpbs)in 78704 plus cable will cost twice as much after special offer is over in2yrs. Now get this, Google Fiber will charge a flat rate of $140 with cable&940Mpbs. 8. Overall bad communication just terrible. I had to get out of this contract as it WASN'T MY FAULT DIRECTTV QUOTED ME FOR AN INTERNET SERVICE ON AN ADDRESS THAT WAS INPUT INCORRECTLY and it took 8 hrs to subscribe and cancel within a 3dys. I knew that if anything else ever happened I would be in the same predicament. So I'm giving Google fiber a try. read more

The channel selections for movies and sports are best on DirectTV. The issue we have is the weather. If it rains, you do not get service. So, please only order DirecTV if you live in a city where it does not rain. If it rains, I lose the game signal...and henceforth, I lose my friends! read more

WOW! I think we've made a serious mistake. Unless things get much better starting with completing the installation of the complete ATTDirectTV. I've been on the phone trying to get them to complete the install (phone) and after 3 hours I am still unsuccessful. I hate direct tv. I have them AND time warner cable. On DTV because they are the only provider that has international rugby games (a must for my husband). They do have a referral discount for 10 bucks a month for 10 months. They are a pain in the ass. I get flyers, emails and calls that are so frequent (marketed as a customer service check in) that is considered harassment. In addition, it's a total racket. They will give you channels for free automatically for 3 months (without your permission). and then you have to call them to have it taken off. They suck. Time warner is also a pain but they are hassle free in comparison to DTV. Also, after a surge or bad weather you have to check to make sure it is on/reset it. Then it takes another 24 hours to download the entire list if shows, etc. So if you don't, your stuff won't record. They say streaming is included (I travel so I should be able to log in and stream). Have never been able to get it to work and calling support was futile. read more

This has been the worst experience dealing with a company in my life. First guy comes to install: he doesn't have a pole to install it so he leaves saying he has to get one. He actually never returns and tells direct tv that we wanted it installed 200 ft from the house and cancelled my service! The actual distance was 32 feet. I spend an hour calling direct tv. An appt is made for a week later. The second guy never arrives-after I waited 5 hours he calls, finds out I need a pole and says he doesn't have one and again, cancels my order. I spend another hour on the phone. A third appt is made a week later. Installer never shows and never calls. I spend another hour on the phone. An appt is made for a week later. This fourth installer never shows and never calls. I spend another hour on the phone and am told my order was cancelled for unknown reasons. They set up a fifth appt. for a week later. Today, the first installer arrives ( the one who lied about distance of install and cancelled my service). He told me that he would install it on a pole, but someone else would have to bury the line and he had no idea how many weeks that would take !!!!!! OMFG! When I confronted him about when this policy started (this was never the case before when I had Direct tv) and why he denied lying to direct tv about the distance, he got in his unmarked van and immediately left, refusing to tell me his company, supervisor info, or anything else. I called direct tv and about 45 min later was told that yes, a separate person will come bury the line eventually. Really?! If they can't even show up and give me service to get payment how will I ever get them to show up and bury a line AFTER I'm locked into their 2 year contract???? I don't believe it. I have a stomach tumor dealing with this situation. I always liked the ease of maneuvering the Direct tv dvr and remote functions, but I'll never use them again. I have explained the situation to them DOZENS of times to dozens of direct tv employees. Apparently there are no repercussions to these companies that direct tv farms the work out to, that don't do the work or lie, or don't show up. I wasted about 20 hours waiting for service/talking about service with Direct tv. I have never been more upset with a company. I literally feel hatred for them. read more

I moved here from California and called the Mover's Deal line to have my service changed. The phone call to get everything set up took over an hour and I was told someone could come out the following week. Whoever set it up put in the old address in CA for the installation, then the guy was 45 minutes late, and he took a two minute walk to tell me the dishes were facing the wrong way and I couldn't have DirecTV service here, then left. I chatted with DirecTV support who told me a dish should've been installed. I had to called the Mover's line yet again and set up another time for installation. This time, the supervisor came out and was supposed to install a dish, which didn't happen. I was then told that the only place to have a dish installed would require written approval from management and was advised they usually don't tell you that when you call for an install. So now, I get to debate if it's even worth it to continue my years of service with DirecTV or to just sign up for Google Fiber, which my building is already wired for. The customer service I've received from DirecTV since moving to Texas is nothing short of awful. I've had to take off work twice just to be told I can't have service and was advised they don't know were dishes are unless they come look at the building. Maybe this is something to remedy, knowing where dishes are, to save the company AND THE CUSTOMER time and money prior to being told that DirecTV service is not an option. read more

If there was a way to give these guys a zero rating I would! Don't let AT&T talk you into singing a contract! AT&T sells this crap, and gives you no support. They simply refer back to Direct TV! I've been a happy and loyal AT&T uverse and wireless customers for more than 10 years and this is what I get? The worst part, they try to sell you insurance to protect against lighting strikes and so forth on equipment that you are leasing from them? Can you say double dipping your customer! It's your stuff on my home, you want us to lease your equipment than you have to service it! $400 plus cancellation fee for a weekend of use is nuts! read more

Yelp needs to add ZERO rating especially for DIRECTTV. WATCH OUT!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T FALL FOR THE 2YR CONTRACT. You need to read the contract carefully before signing or ordering the service. It says contract for 2 yr, that DOES NOT mean the promotion is for 2 yr. The promotion is for a year (low price) but the 2nd year, you are paying more....!!!! and they WON'T DO ANYTHING FOR YOU. THE SWEET TALK ON THE PHONE???? --- Dont waste your time with them. LOYAL CUSTOMER? How can you call me a loyal customer, if the price of your service increases (NOT DECREASES) every year and you are bind to the CONTRACT??? Horrible customer service. The service never worked in our house, we tried to cancel but they asked for a chance. We spent 4 weekends meeting with their technicians rewiring our house. We also upgraded to the highest speed internet AT&T has but it still never worked. They said we did not have to pay anything but they keep sending me a bill for $115.75. I call them and they agree it should be credited but they told me to write their corporate office. Of course I got a letter back stating they felt the charges were valid so they expect me to pay it. They are a big company and can ruin my credit if I don't pay so I don't have much of a choice. They have horrible customer service, they are more worried about the money than the people they serve. I tried to do the write thing and I was more than fair with them and in return they screwed me over. read more
