DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS!! DIRECT RELOCATION SERVICES Not a trust worthy company. I booked, confirmed and gave a deposit for a move date 2 months in advance. I was given a price based on a FaceTime, room by room inventory. The day prior to the move, I called to confirm the time and they had someone call me back to review the inventory. That's when they DOUBLED the price. Not exaggerating. DOUBLED! Because I was in a jam and had to vacate my premises, I had no choice in finding another mover the day prior to the move. So, I thought. In signing the revised pricing contract, I asked what time they would show up tomorrow and they said someone would call me back. At 10pm, I had not heard from them so I called. That's when they informed me the move isn't tomorrow (the originally scheduled date), it's the day after the date I originally confirmed. (2 days from now). When I protested, they said - 'check the contract'. You signed it! THEY HAD CHANGED THE MOVE DATE while I was under duress about the price issue. Based on the forgoing, at 11pm that evening, I cancelled the move with DIRECT RELOCATION SERVICES, received a refund of my deposit and fortunately found a reputable company at half the original price who did an outstanding job. I used this other company twice after that and recommended them to my friends who all raved about them. DO NOT TRUST DIRECT RELOCATION SERVICES. They are unethical, couldn't care less about you and are liars. I would give minus stars if it was an option. read more

When our possessions arrived there were many items destroyed. Do not use this service. When they packed up the house we were pleased. Our possessions were then taken to a warehouse and then transfered on to a 18 wheeler to cross the country. They tell you they place partitions between shipments, they don't. They tried to deliver a rocker that wasn't ours. At some point a toolbox was dropped. We ended with tools that aren't ours but we didn't check it till a day later. Also, from the start I explained where I was moving. I told them I didn't think big rigs could come in to the park. After they were in possessions of our belongings, I got a call that if they need to reload on to another truck it would cost us $900 more, is this okay? They have our possessions what am I to say. They STOLE and DAMAGED OUR THINGS This is our story: Unfair and deceptive practices. Stolen, lost and damaged personal property. Manager lied in several occasions regarding communication. On approximately March 2019, We contacted Direct Relocation Services requesting a quote for our move to California from Florida. We were provided a quote over the phone after giving information regarding the stuff we intended to move. On approximately April 10th 2019, the movers from Direct Relocation arrived to our home with an empty truck. Upon inspection of our property, one of the movers gave us an adjusted estimate which was higher than the original quote. It was explained to us that some items were heavier due to the material it was made from (real wood) versus press board etc. It was also explained that the quote was to include everything, "no other hidden fees". I signed the documents and they loaded our items. I remained at home and watched them load our stuff onto the truck. It took them all night as they were late arriving to begin with. The movers themselves seemed nice and polite. After they finished loading our property, I bought them pizza and sent them on their way along with our property. A few days later, my wife looked at the documents and was shocked to see that the numbers did not add up. She contacted Direct Relocation and spoke to the manager, Andrew Duffek. After going back and forth with Andrew, they finally admitted fault and adjusted the price to what it was supposed to be. It was a difference of over $1,000. At approximately June of 2019, our items finally made it to California. We were contacted by another moving company that was sub contracted by Direct Relocation. The man stated that he had to drop our items off on the sidewalk because he was unable to fit the semi truck in the back of our apartment complex. This was determined not true as he was able to fit the truck to begin with. He also advised that he had to charge us an additional $550 to drop it off as a "convenience fee". At this point, my wife agreed as she was overwhelmed with stress and grieve with dealing with this entire move. I am a service member with the Navy and was unable to be present and help. The mover unloaded our stuff and it was put inside the garage. When I was finally able to get some time off approved by my chain of command, I went home and started to unpack our things. It was then that I found that we had multiple boxes missing and unaccounted for. Our bedroom set was severely damaged, parts were missing along with my daughter's mattress. This was too much for my wife to handle as she became emotional and distraught to find out that our family photos along with priceless items were gone. I initiated a complaint with Direct Relocation Services and I was directed to a third party claims company. I filled out an online claim and was blown away at an "offer" to compensate us for our stolen and damaged items. We were offered $82. Offended and upset, I contacted Direct Relocation and started to communicate with the manager, Andrew Duffek. Andrew is very evasive and has proven himself to be a liar. Through emails, he stated that he has been in contact with my wife, and that him and her had come to an agreement. After asking my wife, she informed me that this was not true. I contacted him again and confronted him of his lie, where he told me that a check was going to be mailed. A couple of months later, NO check. I contacted him again and confronted him of his lies. He stated it was a "misunderstanding" and that I should call. I called on several occasions and in all instances, he was "on the other line" and that he would return my calls. NO calls were ever returned. I have maintained phone records and emails as evidence. This company has made absolutely no effort to mitigate this issue. As as active duty service member, I am weighing my options of pursuing this legally through our Navy Legal office. I just don't have the luxury of being home and my wife is emotionally and mentally unable to deal with this company any longer. While he cannot changed everything that happened, he was very receptive and very responsive to our claims. Note that this was all done after filing a claim through Moving Claims and through BBB. If this situation has happened to you, I would recommend contacting Andrew specifically and talking to him about it. He answered all calls and emails promptly. I was very hesitant about this company and was going to go to a trusted broker company that isn't a third party van line company (That has multiple people move your items ) like this one. But It was last minute and this company was the only moving company available for a last minute move. I spoke with SHANE FRANCIS and he recommended me about their 30 day free storage in coral springs to hold my items until my move in date and when i was ready to move in they would ship it out and my items would arrive in 5-7 business days. With this i didn't have to pay the full amount upfront only half of my moving cost and only the monthly storage fee after the free trial. So i did it. "Their Company" Moves your items during pickup they came, ended up leaving the wall mounts inside my house after the man said he would come back and get it just left and didn't answer my calls that was the FIRST RED FLAG . So i just forgot about it . Before he left a man had me sign multiple things (make sure you read everything in FINE PRINT) (They ended up having me sign where you get paid 0.6 cents per lb instead of the full coverage of your items !!!!) Because they know your items will be ruined so they won't have to come out of pocket. So when i needed my furniture shipped out to HTX i spoke with a supervisor named MARIA she told me it will be within 5-7 days i would receive my items it ended up being 2 FULL WEEKS 14 or 15 DAYS .She stated " We needed to find a driver " Before i left my furniture with this company everything was IN PERFECT CONDITION , BRAND NEW FURNITURE WORTH THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. When they finally arrived i thought you know, everything would be EXACTLY how it left my house..... A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE !!!!!!!!!! When i received my items every SINGLE LAST THING WAS DAMAGED EVERY SINGLE THING. Damages , Scratches , Stains , MISSING ITEMS !!!! They lost one of my 65 INCH TVS !!! BRAND NEW My other 75" TV CAME UP BROKE (Shattered ) My White couches had RED STAINS , BLUE DOTS ON IT , BENT & out of shape !!!!!!!!!! My white coffee table had a big chip on the edge and ANOTHER small one, my bed was missing latches couldn't even put it together fully i literally just bought everything before they moved it !!!!!! I was COMPLETELY torn because i trusted this company to move my items and i worked hard to purchase my furniture and it was all just a slap in the face !!!! The worst moving NIGHTMARE experience to ever have with this fugazi ass moving company . Read the fine print! Do not take any verbal commitments or conversations as anything more than trying to get the Sale. The fine print say they have 30 business days - that's 6 weeks - to get you your things. We were verbally promised a pick up date. That did not happen - again read the fine print. The delivery date was 5-7 business days. More like 4 weeks. My daughter sat out of state in an empty apartment and started a new job. Multiple calls went answered, or she was treated with disdain or actually hung up on. And they subcontact - which they say they don't do. But on the upside, the subcontractor was the best and most professional part of the deal. Unless you truly don't care about when your things get picked up or delivered, do not use this company. read more

This is the worst experience I've ever had. They did come on time to pick up my stuff. My daughter and I watched as they packed the truck. We were told that it would be delivered in about 14 days. I left California and moved to North Carolina. We didn't leave for about 5 days after they picked up our stuff and didn't get to our destination for another 5 days. We waited for about 2 weeks after that and finally called and we were told it could be another 7+ days before it was delivered. We got a phone call on a later Friday afternoon and were told that because they couldn't get the 18-wheeler in the complex, we were going to have to pay for a transport at the additional cost of $600. We said "no"., so they called back and said it would only be $450. Again, we declined and got a U-Haul truck plus we got 2 people to help us unpack the truck and the cost was $187. When we met the delivery guy at a specified location to transfer the items to the U-haul truck, he was very angry and wanted to know why we didn't get the transport truck. After we got the boxes in the boxes unloaded and were unpacking, we discovered so many glasses and items that can't be replaced were totally broken. Even after writing "fragile" on the box. Also, there were areas on my computer chair that were so messed up. This was in perfect condition when it went into the truck. Things were stolen that I had in my dresser drawers, like 2 bottles of expensive perfume that were gifts. Also, we discovered that there were missing items that were not delivered the first time. I received a call a week later letting me know that he had our missing furniture and again wanted me to pay for a truck which I told him it was his fault that he didn't deliver them the first time. He wouldn't pay for a truck so we made other arrangements for it to be dropped off. All they kept doing was trying to nickel and dime us to death. I hope that you don't go through what I went through. My suggestion is you find another company. The original person I spoke to in the beginning, his name is Jorde. I'm going also file a complaint with the BBB. This is the worst moving company. I only wish I could attach before and after photos so you can see what they did. read more

This has to be by far the worst moving company I've come across with. First call I received was from some rude person with an horrible attitude and terrible communication skills , I couldn't even finish my statement about my move before he just hung up the phone on me. The 2nd person I'd spoke to was even worse. When i ask which company is this all he said was Moving Services after speaking with multiple moving companies I was just trying to see which company I was dealing with (Super Fishy). Keep in mind they called me now from a different number. BEWARE!!! All previous, current or future customer, This moving company is absolutely terrible. We hired this company to move our entire house to another state. The guys were very professional, timely, and took very good care to wrap/box/pack all of our items with care. They knew exactly how to disassemble and reassemble everything. They communicated with us if there were any issues even when the leg of a piece of our furniture broke off. There were no surprises with the price and when we came close to our budget, we knew ahead of time and were able to make adjustments. Their prices are certainly competitive but definitely worth every penny. We would hire this company again especially if we get Mike, Justin, Howard and Christian to do our move. read more

This is actually my first time ever writing a review in my life because I don't want anyone to make the same mistake. I'll start this by saying the two guys who picked up stuff where great. They were efficient and wrapped everything I had no complaints but they showed up a day late. It started after my stuff was picked up. First off no one explains that they take you stuff and move it to warehouse and wait for other peoples furniture to "optimize a route". For me it has now been 4 days and my rep Maria has called me once with an update the day my furniture was picked up. I have called each day leaving a message just asking her to please reach and give me an update on what is happening. That's is impossible to get apparently. Before they take your money they are very responsive but after that it's a wrap they don't care. My move is 450 miles and have been waiting 4 days just to have an idea of what going on. I have had to stay in a hotel multiples nights now. When you are talking to them they tell you "oh it's a short move it won't take long" then 5 days later you have no idea what's going on or where your stuff is. If I have any advice it's to go with a KNOWN moving company not this place. Even if the price is cheaper they are going to arrive and spike it up. I was supposed to pay 2000 and it magically got up to 2400 which is what I would've paid for colonial fans. Buyer beware!!! Read the other reviews. I don't know if this is their thing - their scam - their line, but these are the facts of our move. You'll see many similar themes in other reviews, specifically of the manager, Andrew, lying and evading calls; the team promising dates and not delivering; and a history of saying the can "broke down." - DRS has a great sales team. They sell you a "white glove" bill of goods. - Moving day was relatively uneventful, but they packed everything in a box truck and said they'd be moving it to a different truck to wait for a long haul driver, but promised the delivery would be here before Christmas and/or within ten days (read the fine print!!!!! It says 30 business days is their delivery window) - Christmas comes and goes and no truck. No phone calls. We would have chalked it up to the holidays but then the driver calls. First, he says he has side swiped another vehicle and the truck needs repairs. No word on our property. - The next thing we know, the driver is calling again and this time he has a flat tire. - Another day goes by and the driver is calling and saying he needs us to WIRE HIM CASH for gas or he can't deliver our stuff. Ladies and gentlemen, this is called extortion. He was quite literally holding our property hostage. - Meanwhile, the manager Andrew makes like he knows nothing of this and says he's on top of it. He concurs that we should not pay the scam/bribe/driver. He also has no solutions. - Our next update from Andrew is that the driver has been fired but that our property is supposedly safe and sound in a warehouse a few hours from our home. - Days go by. His story changes. Now, the truck is in a service station for repairs - still no word on our property. He claims not to know when the truck will be available to get to us. - No offer of remuneration. No second van or alternative transportation to bring our property to us. No indication of damage. No legal support for the driver. - Communication has been dodgy. They called our emergency contact listed in our file and said we gave their phone number. The story keeps changing. - We have lived in two other countries and seven other states. We have used long haul services for many of these moves. This is by far the worst we have ever used. Nothing short of a scam, complete with shifting communication and plenty of liability loopholes in their contract. Bottom line: buyer beware, buyer beware, buyer beware!!! read more

Never NEVER !!!! Use this company they are shady as all hell. They will tell you what you wanna hear they will give you a quote they will sign it. They will show up and pack your stuff and because it happened so quickly with 5 guys you can't make sure that everything is packed correctly. It's not by they way, a lot of broken items still trying to unpack to find it all. they tell you that this is their truck and it's not, that these are your movers but when they come to your house to deliver, it's not!!! it's some shady guys in a truck. sit there and go over totally gonna deliver all of this to your house and this is to your condo or into your storage. You have a contract that says certain items are going into storage in certain items are going into your condo, but your mover will decide what goes into your condo and everything else will go into your storage. When you called complaining for a month they will send one guy in a pick up truck. You will have to pay for the U-Haul truck out of your own money for him to load six boxes and walk away because he didn't want to go up any flights of stairs because they wouldn't hire any more than one person. so when you call back Taylor pretty much says oh you're on your own sucks for you we have your money ha ha. so don't use this company don't use anyone that uses this company and if you could figure out a way to sue the f*** out of them do it!!! We had a terrible experience with this company. We had a long distance move from Utah to California. The movers were very slow and they were also not able to get all of our things onto one truck. This made it so we had to personally rent a uhaul and move our own extras to another location where they agreed to pick up the rest of the items. They were almost a week late of their confirmation date for delivery because supposedly their truck broke down. This put our family in a really bad situation as we were living without beds and necessities. To make matters worse when they eventually made it to deliver the additional movers never showed up and it was just the two drivers that moved everything. Which meant a slow move in process as well. There was quite a bit of damage and scratches to many of our items. I really feel badly that the owner of the company had no empathy to our situation. He gave me 100.00 reimbursement after we paid almost 10,000.00. If you look like you have money they will keep charging you for additional things. We initially started with a 6,000.00 quote. Horrible customer service , deceptive business practice and unreliable. They will state a time with a timeframe of -+6 hours ( which is ridiculous) and still do not follow through with it. The gentlemen on the phone was extremely disrespectful and disregarding of the situation ( their guys did not show up or call all day and tried to show up late in the evening which was not in the plan nor discussed ) and will even hang up on you instead of providing a solution or rectifying their failed service . I seriously would reconsider hiring this company if you want someone trustworthy to show up , and deliver exactly what they said they would do. My belongings sat in a warehouse for two weeks after the contracted departure date. Things were broken including a bicycle, grandfather clock, and many picture frames. The personnel who did the final leg of the move told us how awful this company was. Wish I'd known earlier. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - I should have read reviews prior to using them. The broker quoted us a price that was reasonable up front only to be told by Direct relocation that we had more cubic footage than what was quoted by the broker. When they loaded our belonging they had 2 smaller trucks and loaded 1 half full and the other was fully loaded. They told me I was to pay for the total cubic footage of both trucks which well exceeded the total cubic footage we had. Upon receiving our belongings at the final destination they loaded all of our belonging on 1 truck. The amount of damage to furniture and boxes was unbelievable. Some of the items they took apart they refused to put back together. They left all of the wrapping and the cardboard that covered the furniture out on the front lawn. No cleanup at all. I did receive a portion of the cubic footage discrepancy but not all that I should have received. I discussed the issue with the manager only to be told I had no idea what it takes to move a home. I was told to file the damage report of all broken items and I would be compensated for the damages. After 3 months I was told I would be receiving a refund. $82 was all that I would be receiving (arbitration is with a scam company. Don't expect anything). I could go on and I wish I could post photos. All I can say is please do research and do not use this company. read more

RUN!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My 92 year old Grandfather has been sleeping on a cot for 3 months due to the fact these people will not deliver his furniture and clothing. They say they need a full truck before they will deliver his belongings...the temperatures here in the midwest are becoming cold and all my Grandfathers clothing is in the hands of these peole as well as his bed and furniture and recliner that has an assist lift to get hm out of the chair. DO not believe their guarantee everything they say is a lie, they DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU! They care about saving money...while a 92 year old senior citizen suffers! If anything happens to my Grandfather while he is forced to live with no furniture and none of his personal clothing items. We will be contacting the Florida attorney general and consulting with him to take legal action. From what I've seen there are many angry and unsatisfied customers we can contact to form a group to bring forth legal action... My daughter hired this company to move her from Tampa to Dickson, TN. When they arrived they were missing our 150 year old baby grand piano that's been in our family as long. They said they had to put another job on the truck and would bring the piano up on another load. My son-in-law spent the next week trying to get a delivery date from them. With no response. 2 1/2 weeks later when there was no one in Tennessee to receive the piano they contacted my son-in-law at 5 o'clock at night told him it would be there the next morning. He proceeded to tell them that there was no one in town to accept the delivery. They bankable said tough S... At this point we owed them another $1,000. They said if we paid them $750 they would tell us where they left our piano. I reached out to someone above the person's that I was dealing with and they told us they would not make us pay the thousand and would give us the location. But when we found out where the piano was they actually left it almost 3 hours away from our home. Now we're faced with getting to hire another moving company to finish what direct relocation services was hired to do. They also originally quoted my daughter $6000 for the move and were not willing to do a FaceTime walk-through her house until three days prior to the move when she's already given them 20% down. At that time they doubled it to $12,000 and she had to be out of her house in three days and had no options. read more

We moved from California to Florida in the middle of March 2019. I contracted for expedited service and no one else's belongings on our truck. I was promised delivery in 5 days. It took 3 1/2 weeks. Our belongings were stored in Los Angeles for most of that time. When the truck finally arrived, it included belongings of someone else. Not only were several things missing and broken, the packing was TROWN in boxes. After consulting a lawyer I found there is little regulation in the moving business; however, I did find this company has changed names more than once and has a terrible rating from the DOT. Please do not use this company. They are expensive, sloppy and they lie. We have moved all over the country and never had such a terrible experience. When I was first contacted by Shane with Direct Relocation Services he told me and sold me on the fact that my items would be picked up while enroute to someone who lives in Raleigh, NC. Known as piggy backing. Then the people who live in Raleigh would have their items dropped in Green Bay WI and then on to my home in Wausau. None of that happened. My items were supposed to be picked up on the 24th of October as promised by Shane only to be picked up on the 26th. My items went straight to Florida only to be stored until the company decided they would deliver to me in Wausau. They finally came on the 20th of November. Shane told me that they do not contract to third parties but in my case they did. The driver showed up and did not speak any english and was not a certified mover the way he loaded and handled my items and plus the fact he had no helpers and he was by himself. The company placed a Craigslist ad to have someone local help the driver off load my items. This was never discussed and the company placed an ad to have some stranger come to my house and assist this driver. The man from craigslist ad was not associated with the company nor was he vetted or given any kind of background check. But yet they had a perfect stranger unload my items and enter my house with a man who spoke no english and was very rushed and careless. I had many items that were broken and items that did not show up including my accoustic guitar. The driver loaded a power washer upside down and as a result, oil leaked all over certain items. Also the driver and the unvetted stranger tracked oil in my garage and inside my house. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any company in my life. They lied and contracted out help and ruined some of my items and items that are missing as well. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this mickey mouse operation of a company! read more

The service was horrible, the manager Andrew was very rude. The whole staff from Jorde to Maria, just kept me lieing every time I tried to call and ask when my furniture will be delivered, I asked for my furniture on May 28,2021, they finally delivered on July 10, 2021. Then they made it seem like it was my fault that they took forever to deliver my furniture. I would not recommend this company to no one that is moving. They broke glass that had fragile stickers all over it. My boxes and bins looks like they were just throwing and kicking my stuff. They didn't put nothing back together like they supposed to do, when you try to call and let someone know they don't want to hear they made it seem like I better be great full that I received my furniture. WORSTE EXPERIENCE EVER!! We have moved many times, and this was the absolute worst moving company by far. This company is a broker who doesn't care who they contract to move your stuff, how your items show up, or how you are treated, as long as the owner gets his money. To start we spoke to a representative named Leo who quoted us one price after taking measurements and thoroughly waking him virtually around our entire house. When the pick up crew showed up, the price jumped from $5,400 to $8,600. We were left with no choice since we were leaving the next day and were pinned into a corner to pay this ridiculous amount. Classic bait and switch tactic. Next we were told 7-10 business days, which then conveniently enough turned into 7-14 business days when it was coming close to day 10. The call center girl Maria was trained in basic sales to "yes" my wife and I to death, with no real compassion for our issues. After putting the cost increase behind us to just not harp on it, we were now to have our things delivered later than promised. Now here comes the best part. The delivery driver for drop off "Ran" hired people off Craigslist with ZERO experience in moving to help unload. We were promised no extra charges multiple times by the manager Andrew, and come to our surprise the driver slapped us with another almost $1,000 "long carry charge" after we explained in detail how far the apartment was from the back parking garage. After declining this extra fee, "Ran" was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful to my wife and I the entire time. While I was on the phone with the manager trying to resolve the issue, he threatened to leave with our stuff because he "didn't have time to wait around". We were promised a full service, to which our items were supposed to be take upstairs and assembled back to how they were. The company unloaded our items and left them in the curb, while it was raining mind you, with no compassion for anything. They were also damaging our items while unloading simply out of carelessness. We luckily had friends who came to our rescue and wound up not only unloading and bringing our items upstairs, but we also had to assemble everything ourselves. What a joke! Direct Relocation Services is a SCAM at best and we would have been better off renting a Uhaul and doing everything ourselves from the start. The owner couldn't be bothered, nor anyone at the company was willing to do anything to provide the service promised. RUN THE OTHER WAY! read more

The pickup crew -Vincent, Dave and Brian- was great. They moved quickly and handled all our belongings with care. We have a lot of books. They made efficient use of truck space, saving us money, while also keeping from crushing anything. This was during COVID and they wore masks. read more

They are CON ARTISTS. They will tell you whatever they need to earn your business, and then GHOST you after picking up your furniture. Richard and Shane promised us a specific delivery timeframe and guaranteed they can deliver it in time for us because they're "not like their competitors" and they "earn" our business. However, once they picked up the furniture they GHOSTED. We have to repeatedly call and email them, to get rerouted to Maria or Andrew who have been less than helpful. They also charge by cubic feet, so when we went through the QA process and gave them the EXACT dimensions of all our furniture, we got a very specific quote. RICHARD said the MOST our move could be was $3200, and it will probably come out to be less than that after everything is said and done. Fast forward a few weeks: furniture STILL isn't delivered (hasn't even left our home state yet) and the quote is ballooning to over $7200. On moving day they said they had to charge double for some of our furniture items because they were "larger than they thought". How can they be larger than you thought when we went over the exact dimensions of each piece? If you leave a negative review they will respond saying "this person isn't a customer of ours" which is a bold-faced LIE. We still haven't received our furniture, weeks past they said it would arrive and it is costing almost three times what they quoted us at. I will update this review IF or when our furniture arrives. Going with this company was one of the worse business decisions that I've ever made. I moved from Florida to Virginia. I was told several time before I decided to go with them that my stuff would arrive it its destination 3-5 days after it was picked up. That promise was one of the reasons I decided to go with them. The first red flag was the fact that I removed several large items and the total price did not change after the initial assessment. The movers did a decent job at the pickup but did not do a great job cleaning up after themselves, leaving table beside and other items, including leaving several dents in my wall. I did not think the dents were a big deal, thats part for the course with moving. After they got my stuff in their truck (5/23) I assumed they would head north towards its destination. The following day I contacted the office and the reassured my that I can expect my stuff to arrive in 3-5 days. I then headed toward my destination, where the new place would be on Tuesday Evening 5/24. I contacted the office the next two days and they were unable give me any updates and told me they could not contact the dispatcher. The person in charge of the updates kept ignoring my calls. Finally a few days later on Friday they told me that the truck was in South Florida. They actually went southbound after they loaded my stuff in their truck. They also told me that I would be getting a call in a few days over the weekend of when they will be heading out towards my new place. My wife is 9 months pregnant and at this point I cannot stay where I am at much longer so I flew back home. SO basically I had to spend money on a plane ticket based on knowingly false information on when my stuff would arrive. They finally contacted me 2 weeks later and I had to fly up to Virginia and meet with the movers. movers were really cool and professional and I tipped all 3 of them. My biggest issue with this company was the falsehood that led me to spend unnecessary funds. read more

This isn't a legitimate or professional business. Also, if you want an accurate reflection of their services, check out the tons of complaints against this company on the Better Business Bureau. Several people suggested they fake their one positive reviews. Based on my experience, I'd be inclined to believe it. Everything they tell you verbally to get your money is inconsistent with their written policies. Once they get most of the money from you, they have no incentive to deliver it. My things sat in storage for weeks. Despite saying they weren't, they are a brokerage company. They hire independent contractors to deliver your things and wait until it's cheapest for them to ship, so whenever they happen to get a truck filled up. I was left stranded in a new city with none of my belongings, despite their sales person Carlos guaranteeing 2-10 business days. If I had the time, I would have taken a Uhaul and rescued my stuff from them holding it captive. Working with this company was a nightmare. I'm shocked they are still operating, their employees hung up on me multiple times and were very combative. Go elsewhere. read more

After working with Direct Relocation Services I wont ever go with any other company for any future moves. They were absolutely amazing. From day one Jorde was so understanding and answered my million calls and questions and never made me feel bad for being overly worried/clueless. I'm a 29yo female and have never moved alone before. Additionally, before I went with DRS I had a very bad run in with a DIFFERENT company that almost costed me $500 had I not canceled my card and filed a dispute with my bank when they stopped answering their phones after my deposit was made. DRS was the complete opposite from that company. Diaz, David & Justin showed on time with great positive energy and understood all of my worries. Diaz took me to the truck multiple times - Once to show me the space I had reserved and explain how they do things, twice during the packing to show me the progress and where we were at on space, and once at the end to show me the items that didn't fit exactly. The extra items were my fault, and Diaz worked very hard for me to fit everything in tightly like Tetris pieces as to reduce the extra space needed. I had only $100 added onto my total cost for my extra items which - to me- was amazing. Every fee we discussed on the phone was identical to what I signed in person. I will be requesting this team for the long drive, so that they are hopefully the same time unloading when I get there. However, I imagine that every person on this team is phenomenal. Thanks guys!! Our moving experience with Direct Relocation Services was AMAZING!! From the initial quote to the moving day heads-up call when the movers were en route to our house, to the final delivery the next morning, this company was EXCELLENT. Lizzie, Mike, Kenneth and Tre were friendly, professional, efficient and provided exceptional customer service throughout the entire process. The movers arrived on time at pick-up and drop-off, they were able to accommodate several additional items on the truck ( for a reasonable fee) and not one of our many, many precious and fragile items was broken. Their salesperson, Richard, lied through his teeth to get your business. He stated my stuff would arrive in about 10 days because I was moving to Florida and they transported to Florida several times per week. It took almost a month to receive my stuff. He also calculated what I was transporting and gave me a low figure (even after I gave him approximate measurements) and I had to pay an additional $600 on the day of my move. After telling him my condo did not allow moving in the weekends, and he reassuring me that they would not arrive on a weekend, their driver was arriving on a Saturday. It took a threat of lawsuit to get it worked out, if not I would have had to pay an additional $500 per day! Do not trust their salesforce! Their contract is ambiguous and allows them to do what they want at the last minute. By the way they conducted business with me, it's hard to think that their great reviews are true. I relied on them and got bunked! The only thing they did right is thanks to the gentlemen who packed my goods because they did a really good. read more
