She informed me about the current promotion: if the Knicks win, the next day, you can get a free cookie of your choice with any purchase. Sweet! I ended up buying two espresso truffles or bonbons (about $6 total) which were scrumptious, and the chocolate cookie was truly exceptional. No wonder it's famous. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.

I ordered the fried strawberry cheesecake ice cream, and to this day, I still can't wrap my head around how ice cream can be fried and stay cold inside. But somehow, Sam's has perfected it. The outside was warm, golden, and crunchy, while the inside stayed cold, creamy, and rich. When you get that perfect bite that mixes the fried "skin" with the ice cream, it's pure bliss. And the flavor? Next level. The strawberry cheesecake ice cream came with chunks of cheesecake crust swirled in, which added even more texture and flavor. I loved every single bite. Now that I've had a taste, I absolutely need to make a trip to the actual shop to experience this joy again. If you've never had fried ice cream before, Sam's will change your life.

It's currently BOGO for everyone, yet Square contact made it seem like it's a privilege for past customers who've been ripped off at popups (and they ignore replies to it). There's also a $1 off via Yelp checkin which was clearly used by a lot of their 5-star reviewers. Scored small sizes of 2 of their current 3 options, the chai and the s'mores, neither of which were very good, nor priced fairly.
