Took my friends to Dion's for their first time ever. Luckily, they loved it just as much as I do. The food tasted fresh and delicious and came out in a timely manner. The pizza was a little greasy but nothing some napkins couldn't fix!

Always great food! Yummy pizza salad and sandwiches. Good service too. Give it a try if you haven't.

We read a couple weeks ago that Dion's had great salads so we decided to try it today! Chef for me, and Cesar for the daughter. We ordered the full size. And after eating a good amount, they looked like we hadn't even put a dent in them! Yea for leftovers! Also, I had the Green Chile Ranch which was amazing! My daughter noticed that they had individual bottles of it for sale, and she bought me a bottle to bring home. Both salads, sweet teas (awesome by the way), and a dessert for each of us - $24 and some change.

The service and staff make you feel welcome, they're friendly, quick - all the things you could ask for to enhance your experience. They offer it. The location is nice if you're anywhere near the Tech campus area. It's right on Broadway. Parking can be tough if it's busy. There is street parking and a lot, but neither are the most plentiful. The food is the real star though. Their wings are incredible, and they don't mess around with the spice. They can be hot! I love the jalapeño poppers. Where else gives you a real popper and not just a frozen and deep fried version? As for the pizza...I'm pleased to say it's the best part of an already awesome place. It doesn't matter what kind you get, you'll be happy with your choice. The Last Call Pizza deserves it's own paragraph. I think I can confidently say it's my favorite pizza of all time. And the second time I had it, confirmed just that. Look at this description - "Homemade smoky pizza sauce and alfredo sauce, topped with cheese, bacon, sausage, sunny-side-up eggs, and drizzled with our sriracha sauce". It's INCREDIBLE! Can't recommend this place enough, if you're in Lubbock get over here!

I have been to Capital Pizza in Tech Terrace many, many times through college, after graduation,…read moreand on many revisits to Lubbock, and I will proudly say it is the best pizza in Lubbock. I will start off by saying sometimes the wait is excruciatingly slow for dine-in, whether it is almost empty or packed. However, takeout is usually pretty on top of it. Capital wins out if you like your crust a little doughy. There is this intense softness to their pizza that it is almost like tasting a cloud. It is legit. Some personal favorites of mine are their Hot Honey pizza, but this last time I ordered a Classic Margherita, and I loved it. It is really like no other pizza place I have been to, and I always find enjoyment in their immensely doughy crusts. It used to be only order over the phone, but it is nice to order online using Slice now because you do not have to preplan and prepare for a phone call. You just pick your pizzas and order. It is great. I enjoy dining in as well. The place feels pretty small, but there is a big overflow room in the back on busy nights. They have a full bar, which is pretty cool for keeping the party going. You do have to pay a little more than at your typical pizzeria, but I think the tradeoff is worth it. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap with no cheese and a side salad (no cheese)-- as usual. Unfortunately, both came out with cheese . My husband got the pepperoni pizza (as usual), and there was maybe 2 pepperonis on each piece. It was a very strange experience in comparison to our other trips. It was my husband's Father's Day meal, so he was nice about the lack of meat and just went on. I tried to get our waitress over, but the place was a madhouse and she seemed swamped (we did not see her much at all). Overall, disappointing- but hopefully the next time will be less busy and more attention will be paid to the tickets.

One Guy From Italy Family Restaurant - Sad pizza

What...was that?…read more Perhaps that's the issue. I remember what One Guy's used to be. It was formerly a place that I'd recommend to anyone visiting from out of town as a local favorite. It was a place I went when I cared less about convenience and using a coupon for some chain pizza and instead wanted something absolutely delicious. Sadly, it's not that anymore. The salad out front was decent enough, albeit pretty basic and definitely nothing special. The calzone was watery. Yes, watery. I don't even know how or why, but there was an excessive amount of watery liquid coming out of it. The pepperoni pizza was decent enough, but definitely no better than you're going to get from a chain, or (I can't believe I'm saying this) frozen. The sauce was particularly off-putting and gave me a different kind of nostalgia than I thought I would get eating here. It reminded me of eating Chef Boyardee vlin microwavable bowls as a kid. I was told that after taking the leftovers home and trying them the next day, they were even worse reheated. I didn't have that misfortune myself as I was done with it after the meal. The service was adequately good, but there was no crowd like I would have expected, and it's easy to see why. I'm fully aware of the reasons things may have gone a different direction (specifically downhill) at One Guy's and that there are now more options in town. I just hoped that this location still had some of that pizazz that made it special. Sadly, I was disappointed.
