Great pie at a reasonable price . Delivery was very quick and prompt. Hands down good pie and fast delivery

Good service, nice and clean interior... but holy crap the meats are incredibly acidic. I've felt like for the past 6 hours.

Having grown up in DFW, I always loved getting double Dave's as a treat! Now that I'm in Lubbock, it reminds me of home! The food here is amazing! Always hot and fresh, and the employees are always kind, and willing to help with anything, and the signs on the windows on the front are hilarious! I highly recommend it here! read more

I walked in during a store meeting but they never skipped a beat. A sweet young man came to the counter and asked how he could help. I explained I had never been here before but heard they were good and I asked him if he could recommended something. I told him I love spinach. He said "Try the spinach Stromboli" I ordered and took it home ate a piece and all I can say is YUM! It was not overloaded with cheese which other places do. I love spinach. If you like a touch of spinach and a load of cheese in a Spinach Stromboli then don't come here. Even though their meeting they still made sure to take care of me. Dave's topped it! read more

I want to start off by saying the service is always excellent! One of the best parts of this place. The space itself is also nice and it is usually easy to find good seating, even for large groups. The food is decent. The one complaint I have is the cheese on the pizza does not taste very good in my opinion. It always tastes off. But they have other things to eat as well. read more

We went there today. They got our order wrong twice and overcharged us for everything that we got. We ordered pizza and got Stromboli, which was raw inside. Inedible. read more

Double Dave's is an average pizza place. I've tried the lunch stromboli a couple times now. They cut it into manageable pieces, but the end pieces are mostly bread. The amount of food for the price isn't great. It's usually pretty quiet at lunch. The random signs in the dining area is fun at first, but there is no theme. Not the worst place to eat, but not special either. read more

This is a solid pizza joint. I ordered a Stromboli with pepperoni and spinach and the garlic spread was delicious. The dough was chewy and the guy heated up my marinara. read more

DoubleDave's Pizzaworks - a restaurant with tables and chairs - Pizza Near Me - Lubbock, Texas

This location is much nicer then the fourth street location, but the results are the same. Nom Nom Nom... that is all you'll hear if you visit. The lunch buffet is packed with hot and delicious pizza creations, and the people eating here know if they stop to talk much they will miss the next thing to come out of the kitchen. My favorites are the BBQ chicken pizza, stromboli, cheese pizza, pepperoni rolls (dear god they are awesome!), and the supreme. the only real tip I can give about DD is to wear cargo pants when you visit because you will want to stuff your pockets with pepperoni rolls before you leave -- I can promise you. read more

DoubleDave's Pizzaworks - Pizza Near Me - Lubbock, Texas

It was my first time eating here with my acquaintance. We've eaten at Gatti Pizza and thought it'll be the same experience. That's where we were wrong, this establishment isn't too welcoming for other races if you are not Caucasian. Her and I were chomping down on some pizza and noticed every time we looked up someone was staring at us. We both felt uncomfortable. Another thing, I don't think the PizzaWorks was initially meant for children because the arcade area is extremely small and only consist of coin operated games and alcohol is served here. I don't think I can order alcohol at Gatti pizza. This establishment is small and not designed for a larger crowd. While we were sitting at the table eating lots of people were waiting at one of the tables that hadn't been cleaned and once we were sitting and chatting a couple of people kept circling around our table. The buffet feel isn't here: it isn't like you go up and get your food and leave. Nope, there was a line to get your drinks, line to get your pizza, desserts, and breadsticks. A line to place a order at the counter. The noise level is loud, due to the loud screams of children. It was pretty annoying when we were trying to eat, a child reached over to our side, they constantly stared, and made noises while we ate. I had to tell a couple of kids to turn around. I don't even get that at Gatti's. However, though; the pizza, breadsticks, and desserts was decent, the price of the buffet is not worth the atmosphere you'll receive here. read more

TLDR: not a friendly experience. There are better local pizza places in Lubbock. I ate here for the first time today. I was not too impressed by the whole experience. The service was not super friendly and the overpriced pizza was mediocre. The pizza rolls were nothing special either. Honestly only slightly better than Little Cesar's and their pizza is half the cost. I have no reason to come back when there's other local pizza places that make me taste the love that was put into every slice and are more reasonably priced. Sorry Dave, let me know if you decide to change. Maybe we can work things out. read more

Service is horrible. I walked up the counter and the guy would not look at me or speak to me . I stood there for a few minuets waiting on him to say something and he never said a word . I had to call a guy in the back to take my order . If your going to hire someone to take peoples orders they should be friendly and willing to talk to people that are going to give you money . Very poor decision putting that guy in that position. read more

OK, Dave. What's going on here? When we first met, you seemed to work hard, while making it appear effortless, to make me like you. Now it seems like you just do the bare minimum to get through the day. I thought we were friends. I thought you were someone to spend time with. After last night, though, I don't know if there is much more to say to one another. Now, I realize we're in a semi-long distance relationship. You're on Frankford & 82nd, and I'm near Indiana & 108. I know when I call you for what I need, it's gonna be a minute. At least you email me to let me know you're on your way. But seriously? It took you 45 minutes to get here! I actually called in to see if you had been injured or kidnapped - only to be brushed aside. When you finally got here, I was so starved I was willing to accept anything you offered. But our relationship just doesn't seem to matter, does it? Like a limp pizza with so much grease and curdled looking cheese that whatever dough was there seemed to disintegrate...but beggars can't be choosers, can they? I feel like a pepperoni roll that needed more attention in the oven. I feel like watered down marinara that tasted more of salt (and water) than the red delicious sauce we used to share. And this wasn't the first time. It will be the last. I cashed in all those reward points for under done pepperoni rolls, Dave. We're through. read more

They stopped serving beer. Food is still good. Probably just stick with delivery from now on

Love it. Hard to eat here alone. I am a fan of deep crust if it is done right. Perfect! Small Pizza - maximum meateater one & 2 pepperoni rolls (2 for one tonite) as an afterthought. Taking half of it with me! A great place because you can get a beer while you wait. I did! read more

$76 for 3 pizzas?!?!? Wow!!! They were good but I wouldn't order it again. Especially since 1 Pizza had 1 topping, 1 Pizza had 2 toppings, and one supreme. That's just wild! read more

The grandkids love this place since the buffet culture is alive and well. The budget was hot and the staff tried really hard to keep it d stocked. I'd recommend that they lean more toward keeping cheeses and pepperoni on the buffet though. Meat lovers and various other mixes are great but kids love the basic cheese and pepperoni most of all. The atmosphere is good and the prices are fair. The restaurant is clean and well laid out. Service is quick but the main menu needs to get prices added. It was our first visit and after looking at the priceless menu had to break down and ask before ordering. It's worth a second look. read more

Disappointed today. Delivery guy wasn't friendly. "Sign this" I signed and said thank you so much. He said nothing, turned around and walked away. So rude! I have never had a delivery person be this rude. I will stick with other places for pizza delivery. Be sweet and kind always, but especially if you work for tips. read more

I love Double Dave's and it's sad that I'm going to have to be taking my business elsewhere. The customer service I experienced today was beyond upsetting and inappropriate. I called and made a pick up order and was told my order would be ready in 30 minutes. I waited the requested amount of time and drove over where I walked up to the counter and paid for my order and was told it would only be 5 more minutes. After 20+ minutes of waiting, being ignored by the staff and seeing customer after customer receive their orders, I went back up to the counter. The employee looked at me asked for my name again and slammed my order down on the counter without an apology or reason. Beyond disappointing and exasperating after being lied too and an ignored. read more

Our first time was on Mother's Day! Really enjoyed the buffet on Sunday! I loved the cherry dessert omg! The pizza was good and hot! Atmosphere is good and clean! We are new to Lubbock, so this was our first time trying this pizza. It was delicious, and the delivery guy was fast and courteous! Highly recommend the hand-tossed all meat pizza! read more

I ordered the pizza rolls and I really wanted to be impressed but these were nothing more than leftover dough and a few pieces of thin pepperoni. If there was cheese, it was so very little I could not see it or taste it. There was a brown crispy spot under the roll where I suspect what ever cheese there was oozed out. This dish has potential but they have missed the mark. Charge a little more but make it tasty. Even a little sauce or other options for ingredients. Other wise the place was clean and salad bar was just adequate. Nothing special there. read more

Had their pizza delivered twice. Once with regular crust and once with wheat crust. The regular crust gets my vote as the wheat crust was too soft and like bread for a good pizza. You need something sturdier, get the regular crust and the review would be 3.5 stars. Better than most, not as good as One Guy From Italy. read more

Something about this place just reminds me of fun little pizza joint in a college town despite growing into the chain it is now. The pizza is on point and I highly recommend the specialty ones especially the Buffalo chicken. The pepperoni rolls are like pizza rolls for adults and the stombroli is not to be missed. Fun place for lunch or dinner with the guys to watch the game or just shoot the breeze. read more

I came here with a few friends on a Tuesday night. Tuesday="Two for one Tuesday" aka I got 4 big pepperoni rolls for $3.25 and it was glorious. The first ranch was free and it is a must to go with your pepperoni rolls. I'm not sure of anything else on the menu is any good, but what I got was delightful. There weren't many people there and the service was pretty fast. Overall I was pleased with my visit. read more

Double Daves is awesome. There are so many really good options at this buffet. I LOVE their Chicken Pesto sandwich. It's incredible. They always are very nice when they deliver, and because I'm right across the street they are sweet enough not to require me to have to spend $10 on my order.
