We ordered Dinks last night we had a slab of ribs brisket fried okra fried pickles and baked beans it was delicious and an amazing price.

The food was good and the waitress was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

I hadn't had the, what used to be the pleasure of dining at Dinks for a few years. I came in tonight with a craving for quality barbecue, which I kind of found. Upon arriving the waitress was at our table, we'd only had the menus in our possession for about 2 minutes. She almost rush us to order drinks and appetizers, but when it came down to ordering the entree, she was no where to be found. Plating and presentation was a disaster. The chicken I had was overly cooked and the batter almost burnt, as if the grease it had been cooked in was older. My partners plate had the same disastrous presentation. Nothing appealing to the eye, nothing breath taking. The food wasn't terrible once I got past the batter (also overly salty). The potato salad was decent, and the fries...were fries. read more

I grew up eating here. The sauce is so delicious, I could just eat the sauce on toast and be satisfied. In fact, sometimes I do...I wish I could order the sauce and have it delivered, because I no longer live in the area. The meat is also very good. One of my first food experiences here in Bartlesville. It didn't set off my impression of the city very well, food wise. I had no idea how spoiled I am in Houston with amazing restaurants everywhere. I came with a group of co-workers, all from Houston. Someone gave someone in my group the impression that Dink's was a must-try. I'm not sure why this place would be considered good food by anyone. The group got the fried pickles, we each got a bowl of chili and split an order of ribs with okra and corn. The pickles were pretty bland more of little pouches of grease. They didn't quite taste bad, but left us all feeling pretty icky. The chili was an utter disaster. Everyone agreed it was cold, all pepper and disgustingly chewy. The cold and the chewy grossed us out, but the pepper level made it completely uneatable. I never send anything back, I just eat as much as I can. We all sent the chili back. If eating one bite makes you want to vomit, then something was done very wrong. The ribs were fair, not quite tender, but not terrible like the chili. The sauce covered up the inadequacies of the ribs. Pretty much the saving grace of the experience was the BBQ sauce. The sides were a total waste of time. The okra was much like the chili, cold and blah. I think it was cooked much earlier during the day and reheated. The corn on the cob looked promising, but once I bit into it I discovered it was made of mush on the inside. Pretty much they had to have cooked it in the morning and left it in the pot of water all day long! I believe this place has sustained itself by the patronage of the locals because there is just a lack of options in Bartlesville. For the rest of us that are just visiting, we have no excuse for wasting our money and stomach pains here. read more

Yes, yes and yes. Awesome BBQ spot - you can smell the pit smoke when you walk up and it really just makes you hungry. I love brisket and theirs is righteous. Their BBQ sauce is of the vinegar type and goes well with any of their meats. For sides, I am a fan of the onion strings and the okra. The best thing though is the prices...awesome to have good BBQ and not break the bank. read more

I don't understand the appeal of this place with people from Bartlesville, but I think this place has the worst BBQ. All the meat is extremely dry and the sauces taste like any generic BBQ sauce you can buy at the grocery store. I have tried to eat it 10+ times when it has been catered to work events, but the meat still tastes like unflavored mulch every time. First of all, let me state that I am quite biased when it comes to BBQ! I have spent most of my life in the mid-south - the area near Memphis, Tn - which is where the BEST BBQ is to be had, without exception!! One of the previous reviews of Dink's said that it has the best BBQ in the city - and this is NOT a compliment for Bartlesville!!! My group recently attempted to eat at Dink's. Being cautious, I ordered a sampler platter with pork ribs, sliced pork loin, beef brisket, and mild sausage. NONE of it was edible!! The ribs were PURE fat - and got left on the plate! I know that pork contains fat, but this was ridiculous!! The brisket was dry - looking as if the individual slices had been heated (overly so!!) at high heat. Actually, everything would have been fairly tasteless if the BBQ sauce, which tasted as if it came out of a bottle from the grocery, had not been lavished over the meat! GOOD BBQ needs little if any sauce!! My wife ordered a brisket sandwich - and found it to be the same as the brisket on my plate. OK, the slaw and onion strings were pretty good (not great) - but I left most of the food on my plate!! Good grief, this stuff was inedible!! Also, some of the reviews had bragged on the 'home-cooked' desserts. When we asked about what they had, the waitress informed us that their desserts are 'store variety' items. Moral of the story: In Bartlesville, don't go close to Dink's unless you want to waste lots of money - and go hungry!! Well i have eaten here once and my company in nowata has them cater meals all the time. My personal view is this bbq sauce is way to sweet and the meat has no taste thats why i have refused any chance of it crossing my lips ever again. Dinks has been a premier eating destination for years. Haven't found anything I didn't like. We combined a trip to Dinks with a half day at Woolaroc. Pretty good combination. read more

I agree with reviews that it is a little hit-or-miss. The ribs can be really dry sometimes. But, I'll be back, hoping for the best, because a good rib from Dink's is really a treat! When it's on, it's soooo good! Don't let this deter you, but just so you know-- this is a converted A&W Root Beer Chain drive-in. The ambiance is linoleum, booths and tables, but also some well done prints focusing on Western themes. I think I saw beer being served on my last trip there-- that was a new development! Sometimes it's loud if there are large groups, especially with kids, sometimes it's quiet, there are TVs on tuned to various sports events. All fine, and the waitstaff is really friendly. I used to just order 4 spareribs and a cole slaw because that is all I care about at barbecue restaurants-- but it turns out that 4 spareribs are too much now. So, I learned that the chopped brisket sandwich is really great. It soaks up the awesome Dink's bbque sauce. And FYI, I ordered take out for 2 chopped brisket sandwich plates, with potato salad and cole slaw plus extra sauce. We didn't need the extra sauce, they gave us plenty to begin with, and we didn't need 2 orders at all. Looking forward to coming back, and look forward to those perfectly smoked ribs!! read more

Their sliced and chopped meats have good flavor. The onion strings with their BBQ on them are a favorite of mine. The BBQ sauce has a unique sweet flavor. It's been a while since I've been served good ribs from Dinks. They are ok, but not like they used to be. However it's hard to get a good smoked spare rib at a restaurant these days. I don't eat pork products but still found plenty of delicious barbeque-styled dinner choices to stir up a good appetite. I have eaten the beef brisket, the chicken breast and also their sliced turkey breast dinner. I like the turkey breast dinner the most! Yum! The dinners come with a pickle spear, a green onion and Texas toast. If you want the traditional fixin's of white bread, sliced white onions and dill pickle slices, you must ask for them. Enjoy yourself in the casual atmosphere at Dink's barbq. The pulled pork, ribs and brisket are fantastic. The slaw is not creamy but rather vinegary and yummy. So, the 5 stars is for their sauce. Unfortunately for us, all other BBQ we try just never lives up to Dink's sauce. The food itself is always filling and pretty good. Definately would fit the "Diners, Drive Ins and Dives" category! We usually go there at least once when we are back in B'ville, but to keep my family happy, I usually have to call Dinks and have them send us a couple cases of the sauce. My kids love it and college son usually steals a few bottles when I'm not looking! After hearing about Dinks from my neighbors, I made the jaunt up to the North. The food here is decent.. Is it worth a long drive? In my book probably not. If I were in Bartlesville I would not pass it up! The service was very good and my drink @ Dinks was always full! This is a no frills place. I had the sample platter that came with 4 meats and 2 sides. Brisket was on the dry side, The hot sausage was very bland, Pulled pork was tasty! The ribs (beef) were very tender and meaty! The coleslaw here is vinegar dressed which was out of this world. The baked beans were up to par for a Que joint! The sauce here is on the sweet side, it tends to be a heavy sauce. It was better than average. I will be back when I am in the area for business. read more

I have come here several times and I always leave disappointed. I have tried the ribs, pulled pork , and my most recent experience the sliced chicken. Which would have to be the worst of everything I have tried here. Do your self a favor and go to rib crib. The food will taste better it will be cheaper, and the portions will be much bigger. read more

Food is good, service is good and if you leave without trying the onion strings, you need to rethink your life and your choices.
