I come here quite often and always brag on their chicken and how fresh and clean it tastes but the last few times I have went the chicken tastes like it was cooked in old grease and even smells gross. I have read some pros and cons about this chicken express. Believe me, this is some of the best catfish I've eaten in a long time. The service seemed more like a regular restaurant than a fast food place. They actually delivered my food to my table, asked me if I had plenty of condiments very politely, a very welcoming environment, clean and tidy and when I left, they wished me a good evening. Horrible service from a rude and downright MEAN and HATEFUL employee running the front counter who obviously has anger issues. If this is the kind of employee you have to depend on to to be in front of your customers you are in trouble. He didn't greet us and just started staring at me without speaking so I started to place my order. He was hatefully staring me down and made me so uncomfortable that I didn't know what was happening or how to respond. Then when he finally spoke he said how about we start with "is this for here or to go". I told him it was to dine in. He never led the conversation at the register to take my order. So I told him again what I was ordering, since he wasn't asking and just wanted to give me a hateful stare and not say anything. This was a very uncomfortable experience. I told him he was very rude and I was sorry he was having a bad day. He started yawning and said what sounded like what did you say and I told him I'm sorry you are having such a bad day. I like the food but disapprove of their COVID-19 response. While they have closed their dine-in service, their employees weren't wearing gloves or masks the last time I purchased food through the drive-thru. Your food goes in a box and napkins they've handled without gloves are placed on top of the food. There may be no harm in this but I'm not taking the risk. read more

Second visit. Two piece dinner of breast and thigh. Flavor plain. Corn On Cob soggy as if prepared for noon lunch period even though served at 5 pm. Macaroni and Cheese no flavor. We ate at home so sprinkled shredded cheese on it and heated in microwave. Better tasting. We can buy a box of Macaroni and Cheese from the grocery store and have great tasting multiple servings for $0.50 or spend almost $3 for a small serving that needs more cheese. Well never go back. Went in order our food, sit down and waited. Saw three different couples come in and order and one gentleman came in and order. Watch all get there food and leave, we had to go ask about our order. They brought part of our food and then came back and told us it would be 15 minutes before our chicken was ready, I told him we had to leave so just cancel my card and I would pay cash for what we got. He came back to get my card to cancel the bill and I paid cash and left. Check bank statement and found they didn't cancel the bill. I guess they need the money, learned my lesson. read more
