We have traveled all the way from Muskogee to eat here... although picking up a new family addition, this was a must try!!! So far, you can smell the BBQ as soon as you step into the parking lot, so that's a beginning... We started with fried dill pickles.... So good!! The rest of the plates were amazing. I do recommend!!

Everyone raves about this local BBQ spot so we decided to give it a try. We're not huge fans of BBQ, but we don't hate it. There's plenty of parking and the restaurant is very clean and decorated with the whole small town BBQ theme. Our waitress was very kind and helpful, she offered to help us with the menu since it was our first visit. I ordered the short ribs with green beans and corn on the cob, it comes with a piece of bread and a pickle. The ribs had a wonderful smoky flavor and were tender. I used the house sauce on them, it has a really nice flavor- not heavy with a hint of vinegar (that's what I tasted). My husband had the smoked sausage with a loaded baked potato with coleslaw, it also comes with a piece of bread and a pickle. He enjoyed the entire thing! He said the sausage had a great smoky flavor and was impressed with the baked potato. Most side potatoes are small but this one was a good size and cooked all the way through. The coleslaw isn't a cream based sauce, it was very light and had red and green bell peppers. I found it refreshing. We also order an appetizer, the onion strings, they were crunchy little bits of batter onion. It is a large portion, we barely made a dent in ours so it would be great for a group app. All in all I enjoyed my meal, I could see myself going back to try the burger or perhaps the chicken. I can see why the locals suggest this place.

ALERT: TOP TEN ENTRY FOR APPETIZERS NATIONWIDE. To judge from the turnout around 1 PM on a Sunday, our 13th 'cue stop in Oklahoma and the 388th on a 35 state jaunt is very, very popular. $44.61 (+ a generous tip for excellent service) purchased a half order of onion strings, a mild sausage plate with coleslaw and pinto beans, a sampler platter (brisket, sausage, ribs, pulled pork with sides of okra and curly fries), and a Shiner Bock. The onion strings are sensational-- a top ten appetizer nationwide. The ribs were the best of the lightly smoked meats, with a light rub that accented the flavor of the meat, which separated cleanly at the bite. The sausage and brisket came sauced (try ordering it dry if you wish), and like the pulled pork were bland enough to benefit from saucing. Three of the four sides proved unremarkable, but the coleslaw is a winner-- a cold, palate cleansing bite that's ideal when moving among different meats on a plate or platter. In sum, you can't go wrong here with the onion strings, ribs, and coleslaw.

Very nice and friendly service, large drinks actual metal utensils, amazing BBQ sauce, decent prices... what's not to like! I had the 3 Meat Combination Plate with sliced brisket, pulled pork, extra hot sausage, sides of potato salad and baked beans plus buttery toast... all delicious! Way too much food and I finished every bite!

Top 3 BBQ I've ever had. I live in Texas (lived in both Dallas and Houston) and I must say this is an official go to spot in Bartlesville.

It's a cool, neat place with a bar area in the middle with seating around. We were quickly greeted and our server was prompt. He gave recommendations that definitely helped us on our decision. Wife had the meatloaf, very flavorful, hearty portion of meat served with fresh green beans and mashed potatoes. Definitely a must try. I had the roast beef, mashed potatoes with brown gravy and fresh sautéed green beans. The roast beef was tender, flavorful and the meal was plenty for the price. Highly recommend this plate. If we're ever in the area, we definitely coming back. Tremendous!!

We were seated upstairs and I really got the vibe that this restaurant could have been in Taos, Red River, or Crested Butte. It's vintage and retro but elevated a bit (if that makes sense). We ordered immediately and I asked about the Pesto Bowl (which was a special). Was told it used to be on the menu about 6 years ago and they were thinking about bringing it back. It was pesto, pasta and veggies but you could add a protein for no extra cost. I just went with the plain bowl (no protein). The Hubs ordered the Steak Dianne ("A throwback to the 1960s"). Thought that was a cool entree to feature. It came with charred (in a good way) Brussel sprouts and delicious mashed potatoes underneath the steak and mushrooms. My basil bowl was pretty good too. The pesto had a great flavor and the veggies were just cooked perfectly--still crisp and not mushy. Only negative was that there was a lot of liquid in the bottom of my bowl. Again, I would return here.

I've tried all of their steaks (including the bison), the salmon and shrimp. I have 2 favorites the salmon and the filet. The salmon is absolutely perfect every time and the sauce that is on the salmon takes it to another level. DE-LI-CIOS! Tonight I ordered the filet with a baked potato and green beans - to go. The steak was cooked to perfection and was loaded with flavor. I'm not one to go on about green beans but let me explain...they're cooked the old school way with onions, bacon, and spices, mmm, mmm. I will agree with some of the reviews, there are times when a steak's flavor is not what I expect BUT most of the time (like tonight even ordered to go) it's very good. No reactions here! If you need to order GF and have questions just ask one of the kind and helpful wait staff. The majority of them have been working there for years and can answer all questions you may have. The chicken berry salad was plentiful and very fresh, and the poppyseed dressing was especially good. The meatloaf was also a hit, and the portion was huge, easily enough for 2 people. A couple of things to note: no bread is served with the salad or meatloaf entrees, so order a roll if you need that, and the mashed potatoes did not come with gravy, and could use some butter or gravy (I'm sure they would add it). Also note, the food did not come with any utensils, so if you need those, you'll have to ask. The servers were getting slammed with big groups right at 11:30am on a Saturday, but they were very attentive and the order did not take long to be handed off to me.
