delicious brunch place in YYC! If you're ever in YYC or in the area diner deluxe is such a good and unique brunch spot. Highly recommend coming to try their delicious menu. * Grilled grapefruit ~ this is my first time trying grilled grapefruit and let me tell you it won't be the last. It was so good and unique and sweet and not to mention so good for your gut health it's insane! 9/10. * Mascarpone and Berries French toast ~ super yummy the berries were sweet and good contrast of tart and sweetness with the French toast. The mascarpone was nice and sweet which paired well with their syrup. Overall not Too sweet and a perfect morning French toast to start off the day! 8.5/10. * Pork belly eggs Benedict ~ this was phenomenal the pork belly was thick and well seasoned and super delicious. Ultra tender and the fat melts in your mouth and not to mention the egg and their English muffin pairing worked so well with the thick pork belly. Their potatoes were also crispy and well seasoned. 9/10.

We have been here several times over the last 10 years and there is a reason why we keep coming back. The food is freaking amazing. Delicious and well done. Creative and well thought out. I don't think I have ever left and get like our meal wasn't great! My recent favourite is the potato rosti which I took up a level by adding it stuffed with cheese curds and bacon. Exactly. Delish. On my last visit it was slightly burnt on the sides and not in a yummy, crispy great way but that seem to be a one off based on my past experiences so let that slide. Service is always efficient and friendly. I love that it is a great place for couples, friends or young families. I will continue to visit every single time I come to Calgary

I really like breakfast places., We tried diner delux for the first time (long overdue). We really liked the interior and was nicely decorated. The servers were super busy and friendly enough. Food took a while to come out in Sunday brunch. The food was great. I really enjoyed their chorizo sausage and their brunch skillet was really good. The waffles were good too. My only complaint is that they were a tad expensive. 20 dollar plates for breakfast??????? I was surprised. I immediately googled dairy lane and queens breakfast menus to compare. Same!! 20 dollar breakfast plates! What? Fortunately broken yolk is still In the 15 dollar range, but still if u live in the city you need to drive a bit far. Calgary's breakfast are getting way too expensive.

On a biz trip in Calgary again. I never miss an opportunity to come here for all the great choices for b-fast. I love the Rancher's eggs and the brunch skillet. Nothing bad about this place. Granted, I've only visited during the week so I can't speak to their weekend situation. I'm guessing it gets crazy.

The huevos rancheros was good. I liked the half of avocado and potatoes! All the ingredients meshed well with one another. Service was good.

A good breakfast/brunch/lunch diner, we made our way here as our last stop before leaving Calgary. It's very heavy food, so if you're looking to fill up before being on the go, it's actually a pretty perfect choice. There are various breakfast items you can get, but I really gravitated to the eggs benedict. Their different takes on the dish are pretty interesting and I really liked the options. Execution on the eggs was a tad off, though as they were about 20 seconds overdone and not quite as runny as they should be. The diced hashbrown potatoes were really well done and well seasoned.

A "must" visit when in town. Yeah, the vibe is fun & young but I have brought my Mom who was very pleased with the place. The door you enter opens into a space that sells Fiasco Gelato (Oh la! Sample the pumpkin flavour if they have it.) and has a Pac-Man upright arcade game. If you have to wait a bit for a table - not common on weekdays, probably certain on weekends - grab a mug and go into the 2nd area where there is coffee & the fixin's on the right side. The only frustrating part of your visit will be when you attempt to decide what you want. The choices are painfully wonderful and diverse. Emphasis on local and fresh ingredients. Everything is good. Seriously. Their egg game is on point! Servers rock! Make sure to check out the loo. Can't speak for the men's but the ladies is outfitted uber stylishly.

Sad, I have been here so many times, and this is my first review. This is an institution. They have an amazing retro diner vibe with super friendly staff. The service is usually very quick and the food is always on point. From items like chocolate sourdough French toast to their breakfast burgers thus place is absolutely on point. Not to be missed is the fact that they serve Phil and Sabastion coffee. My omelets today was cooked perfectly, absolutely the right portion size with the side of fruit. After many visits .....I am happy to report that they continue to set the bar high.

Items Selected: Phil & Sebastian Coffee Maple Fried Oatmeal - Lemon Curd, Vanilla Bean Cream, Maple Syrup Stuffed French Toast - Egg dipped thick cut Sourdough, Brie, Canadian Bacon, Apple Relish, Rosemary Syrup Breakfast Poutine - Rosemary Hash Browns, Quebec Cheese Curds, Basil Hollandaise Apple Pie Wedge - Bourbon-Cinnamon poached Apples, Caramel Sauce, Streusel Topping Located just down Edmonton Trail from OEB Breakfast Co, a veritable Restaurant Row during the day's early hours, Diner Deluxe is an all-day eatery focused on local, seasonal ingredients and scratch-cooking, the kitschy retro interior in no way indicative of the sort of place serving up your Grandpa's plate of Bacon and Eggs. Now with two locations, the rumor of hour-long waits on weekends mitigated by an early Monday meal, entry to Diner Deluxe finds patrons in a Soda Fountain styled area featuring Gelato, Pac-Man, the brightly lit room beyond full of old-school signage and smiling servers plus two men working the oven and griddles. Proudly promoting local purveyors and farms, prices slightly higher than the typical diner as a result, long perusal finds the menu filled with options for diners of all-styles, the challenge of accommodating allergies and limitations taken quite seriously as the young woman acting as waitress went out of her way to inquire at the time of order, something far more typical of fine-dining environs. Seated at a cozy two-top next to an elderly widower in the mood for conversation, clearly a regular judged by his interaction with staff, Breakfast began with an elegantly presented square of pan-seared Oats thoroughly soaked in Custard and Maple Syrup, the pool of Crème Anglaise in which it rested acting to further soften the wedge beneath a scoop of zesty Lemon Curd. Offering bottomless Coffee from Phil & Sebastian, a local producer featuring great light roasts at many restaurants visited during the days in Alberta, course two featured egg-dredged Sourdough wrapped around melted Brie, Canadian Bacon and Apple Relish, the sidecar of Rosemary Syrup proving downright inspired as an addition to the sandwich, while also proving complimentary to the $3CAD upgraded side of well-seasoned Hash Browns that remained crispy even with the addition of housemade Hollandaise and stretchy Cheese Curds. Half-joking when inquiring about dessert, but more than happy to indulge when the kitchen said they would be willing to oblige, it was after a quick warming on the grill that an "Apple Pie Wedge" arrived bathed in hot Caramel Sauce, the light hints of booze mingling with Cinnamon and Fruit topped in buttery Streusel.

The sautéed potato is delicious! The Benedict average.

Frankly, f**k this place…read more Thought I'd give it one more try. Instant regret. In what world does it cost three people almost 70 bucks to eat shitty diner food. Server, Marla, decent. Sort of felt for her cause it was busy and no one was helping bus tables. That's the one star. The rest of it, I wouldn't have fed it to pigs. Lumpy greyish gravy, uncooked poached eggs, cold hashbrowns. And the kicker? We never got a copy of the bill. Marla just sauntered over and says a random number and wants payment. No offer to bring a copy, no flipping the iPad around so we could see what we were paying for. Shady AF. Also. If the guy running the place is gonna be lurking by the counter photographing patrons, put a sign up saying so. Seemed really off. If the manager happens to read this review, don't bother replying. Your copy and paste replies mean zero to me. Also. Fix your booths. No one wants to be sitting on some ratty ass vinyl bench with god knows what caked into it. Edna would be mortified seeing what you're turned her iconic diner into.

We went for Saturday afternoon happy hour because the website and sign out front says it's every day from 2-6. Turns out, at Jam's, every day doesn't include weekends. We did raise this, they offered 10% off drinks as compensation, and later offered the full happy rates, but only 10% was assessed on the bill. No big deal. The place was pretty empty (should have an afternoon happy hour!) which I think took away from the retro, diner vibe the place seems to be going for. Service was friendly and attentive. It has a slightly limited menu however they make a lot, including it's pastrami, on site so I get it. We had a broad range of menu items, all excellent, especially the fries and pastrami sandwich. They offer gluten-free for many items which is also a plus. I think I'll be back, this time for breakfast rather than happy hour.

Inside had a really good vibe and there was a live band playing. Food is really good here but service is a bit slow. I don't think they anticipated the influx of people dining due to Sunfest being outside. Maybe if you come on a regular day it would be better. My wife and I ordered the Smash Burger and it was really good. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. My son ordered the mac and cheese (his goto) and it looked pretty good to. Great location in Inglewood. Just super slow on this day. It took an hour for our food to arrive. But the food was great.
