This restaurant at the entrance to Logan Airport's international terminal used to be a decent place to grab a meal before passing through security or while waiting with someone getting ready to leave. It paired with better restaurants and chefs across Boston to offer regional specials in addition to decent, if unimaginative, airport fare. Today, though, it's serving a reduced menu of poorly prepared food with a really obvious "we don't care" attitude. The food was lackluster at best, the manager/host just sat at a table on his phone doing nothing for guests or staff for our 40 minute stay, while all four TV screens in the restaurant and bar just flashed fragmented pictures and "signal loss" distress messages with no one lifting a finger to fix anything. In response to mentioning that the menu was far less varied than it had been, the waitress just gave the tired "we reduced it because of COVID" answer, nearly two years after that made sense. The reduced beer list also doesn't mention which selections are served as full pints versus those served as 12 ounce pours at higher prices, nor does it list ABV, all pet peeves but also information that consumers should know read more

This restaurant is listed as open at 1:00. It's almost 2:00 and they are not open even though there are workers inside. They say the door is locked and they are waiting on the keys but they got inside somehow so that's interesting. We have been waiting for three hours for this place to open so far and will continue to wait until my flight departs at 5:00. It's the only sit down place to eat pre security in the entire airport and my mother and I were planning to get a meal together before we go our separate ways (she to Albany, me to Denver). If we knew this place wasn't going to be open we would have taken a cab somewhere, but we checked weeks ago and found this spot so this was the plan. The staff was very rude when we asked for updates. They said the keys are on their way here but couldn't give any sort of ETA on when they would arrive; you'd think the manager would be able to tell them roughly when he or she would be here. I'm pretty sure they have the keys, they just don't want to bother with customers. 15+ people tried to eat here while we have been waiting. It's a real shame that these people are so rude and disinterested in serving people. Avoid this place at all costs. Do not expect to eat here, even though it's literally the only option available pre security. As I was writing this the woman with the key showed up. She unlocked the gate and the place is still not open. We are sitting here waiting longer for it to open At 2:05 they finally opened the related cafe next door. They now say that the restaurant is closed on weekends even though the website says it's open from 1-9 daily. The airport website says it's open 1-9 daily. Yelp says it's open 1-9 daily - hours were just updated two months ago. It's not open 1-9 daily. The guy who we talked to first said the restaurant would be open when the keys arrived. Once the keys arrived, he decided to tell us at that point that they aren't open on weekends - only the cafe is. He might have mentioned that initially, but he didn't bother. Why bother? Why give any information of any kind to hungry people who want to eat at your restaurant? It seems these people are not interested in serving travelers. When the related cafe next door opened an hour late, "Dine Out Boston Cafe, " they only had about 20% of the listed menu available. It was also scheduled to open at 1:00. The sandwich I finally had was sub par but I was so hungry that I ate it anyway. While stuck in Terminal C for Southwest, we were hungry and there weren't many options for food at this terminal, but this place stuck right out. We decided to kill some time to eat here. My husband ordered the clam chowder to start, which wasn't bad but was lacking clams, I hate that. They had more potatoes than clams. He ordered the lobster roll, which was good but pricier than the other places we've been to at the airport. Not sure why this cost so much more. I had the chicken caesar wrap, which wasn't that great. Lots of sauce and lettuce but not much chicken. While we were eating, some girl at the table on the other side of the restaurant started swearing and yelling at some guy. He yelled back and his girlfriend tried to calm him down. It ruined our meal, to be honest with you. There was an airport security guard in there trying to diffuse the whole thing, but it didn't seem to help much. Overall, decent airport food. read more

I had a small bowl of New England clam chowder on a stopover. It was pretty standard, salty, creamy, nothing special. 3 stars.

It's the last chance to get food before getting out of the country! It's a nice place, and they cater the most amazing desserts ever. I asked where they cater from in order to go back! The Boston Cream Pie is heaven!! I'd give this place a 5/5 if I was only looking at the dessert options. Food is mediocre; the sandwiches feel dry, but the soups are good! The salads don't feel fresh.. so anything more on the healthy side isn't great. Their pizza is also good. So, keeping it simple! And, service is as prompt as you ask for it to be. I don't mind spending a lot for quality. I spent $14 on 3 shrimp that had a very strange texture and were not tasty (I'm guessing they were old). My mother ordered haddock for $27 that was dried out, with plain broccoli and carrots (not sautéed in olive oil or butter with zero seasoning). This restaurant was overpriced and awful. We had hoped to eat at Legal Seafood but discovered that you have to pass through the gates in Terminal E. Wish we had known this (we weren't flying, we were taking my mother to her flight). After landing in Boston without having had lunch, I had passed by one other spot that offered lobster bisque for a bit cheaper than $7, but when I saw Dine Boston and their chef inspired menu, I figured this was a better choice anyway, so I ordered a cup to go. I imagine most of the reviews are from grumpy and disgruntled people that are leaving Boston and have some type of delay or something. If not, I don't get it. This place had some good beer and damn good food. The quality of the dough and the ingredients on the pizza was some of the best I've ever had, and I've been known to shovel down a pizza or two in my day. In addition, they also have some delicious and unique beers on tap. I tried a few, but I was highly satisfied with the smuttynose wheat beer since wheat beers are my thing. The service was satisfactory and our waitress was sweet. If I'm ever in this airport again, no matter the occasion, I'll be sure to stop by again. Also, I should mention that the jalapeños they used on my pizza (jalapeños and pineapple) were the best I've ever had in my whole life. I don't know know where the hell they got them from but I wish I knew. It's an airport though, so it wouldn't be to hard to ship them direct from the source. lol jk This place was awesome though. I'd venture to say a large part of Dine Boston's business plan is that it is the only place before security. Thankfully it doesn't rest on these laurels alone, and is actually a decent spot for a pre flight bite or drink. I had three hours to kill before bag drop was open for my flight, so I settled in. My favorite aspect of this place was that at no time did I feel rushed. The waitress even told me to stay as long as I'd like which was a really nice gesture, and I took advantage. The drinks I think are priced pretty fairly. I ordered a big glass of Sam Adams for $9.50, and the regular pints were $7. Not the highway robbery I'm accustomed to in airports. I ordered lobster bisque which was ok but a little underwhelming. More like lobster flavored bisque because there was nary a piece in there, but it was ok. Oysters I weren't a huge fan of because they were a little too big for my liking, but they were fresh so there's that! Someone close by ordered Boston cream pie which looked really good. This place has something for everyone and is worth a visit if you have time to kill. read more

Had to spend a full day here at the airport before catching my flight and read the reviews about this. It was one of the few restaurants before security, but lunch and dinner were both excellent. If we are ever at the airport again, we will be back. For lunch, the cubano sandwich was very tasty with lots of pulled pork as the pork portion of it. The spicy aioli was very good. Cajun chicken sandwich was very good. For dinner, the spicy calamari came as rings with deep fried jalapeno and some other peppers. Very well done, although they could use a little less peppers. My friend and I were leaving from separate terminals, so we decided to get lunch before going through security and this was one of the few sit down places we could find for lunch. Since it had just opened when we got there, we were seated right away, and had our order taken right away. The service was fine, the food was fine, the luggage situation irked me a bit. I understand as a restaurant, with a wait staff, you need to have clear safe pathways for employees and patrons to use, but if you haven't checked your luggage, they will just move it to the side near a wall with everyone's luggage. Airports stress to you to not let your baggage out of your possession and here it is just lumped to the side in the open where you may not have clear view of it and that would make me very nervous or nervous for the other people. read more

What a neat idea for an airport restaurant! Dine Boston is a little restaurant in the international terminal of Logan that offers several dishes from other well known restaurants around Boston. This allows you to try items from many restaurants that you may have missed while visiting Boston all in one place. Genius! My friend and I had a caprese salad, clam chowder (of course), fried brussels sprouts on spicy aioli, and Boston cream pie. The lam chowder was just ok, I know it's from someplace in town that's supposed to be great, but I thought it could have more flavor. The brussels, on the other hand, were great... so flavorful, great texture... we ate the whole plate. The pie... also delish.... probably the least healthy thing I've eaten in a long time, but worth it. Prices were reasonable. Definitely a great choice for an airport eatery. read more

This is the only real dining establishment at Logan's international departure terminal that's located before of TSA security--meaning that this is the best option where those staying behind can relax with those traveling. A important distinction with airlines requiring travelers to arrive three hours prior to departure. Other good features: +Changing menu with its "Dine Boston Visiting Chef Program" that enables notable New England chefs to create special menus. Past chefs featured in Paul O'Connell from Chez Henri. +Food is OK, even the seafood is fresh, +Prices are reasonable. +Portions are large. +Service can be slow, but is very friendly. +Guests are provided access to priority line through security. REALLY GREAT place! I cant believe this place is in an airport . The food is so good and the service was great. We lucked out with an awesome server named Carmine ( I would ask for him!) He was so great. Gave us our time. I like how all the servers ask you when your flight is when you sit down. So they know if you have time or not to eat, rush, etc. We ordered some beers, great! A bit pricey, but not too $$$ for an airport. Then we got the chowder. So good. And we did the margaritha pizza with mushrooms. SO GOOD! they make the dough by hand there and everything is made to order. It was Delicious and great food for airport. I would go to this place if it was in Boston. For real! I've been to this restaurant/bar three times this year. It's the only place where I can have a last drink with hubby and a bite to eat before I fly out of the country. Anyway, we have a routine: we sit at the bar, I order a glass of Cabernet, hubby a pint of Sam and we share an order of Buffalo chicken tenders and sometimes fried calamari too. The chicken tenders were great tonight. The bartender was very nice. Good Cabernet too. This is really a 3.5 star place, but they get an extra star because if you eat there you can take your receipt and get in the priority line for security! I asked how I missed this before and it is only a few months old. It doubt it costs the airport anything and helps to bring business and tips to the local folk who have to schlep to the airport to make a living. I've been here a few times bringing people to the airport or going on a trip myself and for airport fare, it is really solid. They have decent calamari, burgers and pizza. The bartenders are very friendly. You can get a 20 oz. beer for $7.50. It might be a little pricey compared to a 99 type restaurant, but the prices are not uncommon in Boston and I don't think it's a total ripoff like most aiport restaurants and definitely a better value than anything you could buy on the plane. read more

It's wise to be wary of eating at an airport: Chances are, the food will be the definition of mediocre, because the business is able to thrive by so much one-time foot traffic, composed of customers that it doesn't have to care about drawing back. This place exceeded our expectations. The server was perfect, asking about when our flight was and timing our meal accordingly. We had pizza and the bacon cheeseburger. The latter had an impressive amount of oil, but in general the flavors were good enough to be surprising given the location. My flight was delayed 3 hours so my family came to have lunch with me at the airport. Just to let you know, the restaurant is in the international terminal. The decor is lame in a stereotypical sense. I think we can show our foreign guests a better sense of style. Our waitress had style. She was probably one of the sweetest people I've encountered. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and so polite. She kept bringing my niece and nephew maraschino cherries. The pizzas are excellent. Very thin, oval and fresh. They are cooked in a fire oven. The grilled shrimp and scallops are OK. The portion is meager but the s & s are tasty. My niece had some fries which were the best thick fries I've had. I am a fan of thin fries. There is a definite lack of places to eat in the International terminal at Logan. Not sure why that is, but it's definitely slim pickings. My group randomly picked this place because the decor looked somewhat classy. The hostess was very friendly, and letting us know that one member could go to a special boarding line with a pass from the restaurant helped us decide to eat dinner. I thought the menu was pretty good for a restaurant in an airport. Prices were expensive, but that's typical for everything when you go to an airport. I found my dinner very yummy; no one in the group had any complaints. I thought the service was a little slow, especially since we told the waitress when the flight was boarding and we had to cut it very close. I would go back to Dine Boston if I was in the International terminal. Otherwise, there are more choices with lighter fare and lower prices. Stopped here while waiting for our international trip to take off. We had 3+ hours so to be in a restaurant that allowed you to kick back and relax PLUS had wall outlets? It was a no brainer. I had the lobster roll and a few glasses of Prosecco. I tell you, it was the dinner of champions. The roll was overflowing with lush lobster pieces, the fries were crispy and salted to perfection. I wish I ordered the bisque as well, as the smell from our neighbors table was heavenly! Bonus: eating dinner here gives you a Fast Pass to use at TSA. You can go through the First Class/Business Class line. Took us all of 15 minutes to get through TSA. Decent airport food but really nothing special. Was expecting more, as they have a few select menu items from visiting chefs - which sounded great, but was just "ok" with flavors that fell a little flat. The lobster bisque was blah and the lobster ravioli was good but not great. Don't ask me why you'd order a Cuban sandwich in boston, but it is not a Cuban sandwich by any measure - ughhh. Nothing good about it unless you like a load of cheese. Very strange concoction. The restaurant does have a little better than average service, which is nice, but at the end of the day it's just more of a typical airport place rather than fine dining. It is outside of terminal E security, which is why we chose to eat there - so that's nice if you are not traveling. It's walkable (although not close) via the skywalks from the airport hilton. Wanted to try something other than the hilton restaurant and it's either this, or an Au Bon Pain in terminal A outside of security, and this was a little nicer option. read more

I had almost 8 hours to kill while waiting for my flight to open. Having lived in Massachusetts for six years, I had an enormous hankering for a lobster roll. Dine was the only option in the terminal, and since I wasn't traveling light I decided that it would do. The servers were friendly and very understanding of the fact that I wanted to have a nice slow lunch, which was greatly appreciated. I started off with the much hyped lobster bisque, which was creamy and flavorful, but unfortunately lacked lobster meat...a few legs and shards were all that were present, unlike other establishments. I followed it up with the lobster roll and made the mistake of ordering onion rings instead of the sweet potato fries, which I'm sure would have been better. The lobster roll was pretty good overall, lots of meat, nicely seasoned with a peppery aftertaste. Minimal mayonnaise which is a good thing. While I wish the bun was toasted with butter like they do on the cape, the sandwich was quite good. Naturally it's one of the pricier items on the menu, and my total came out to approx $45. Of course you must keep in mind that I was dining at an airport, price increases are always normal. A solid place to dine while waiting for counters to open, with friendly staff. A-OK. read more

They have Geary's and allagash here - the 2 best maine beers out there! I decided to drop in here before my international flight to get some food and beers. Both the food and beer was exceptional. Being from Maine I appreciated having the 2 best Maine beers on tap. My friend had the massive lobster roll and I had the haddock sandwich. Both were amazing for airport food. It was a bit pricey but what can you expect at an airport. I was pleasantly surprised and would come back the next time I take an international flight. read more
