The best food yet! Me and my husband ordered about two months ago to try it and we cannot get enough it is so good! We continue to order through uber eats and needless to say we are always full and happy at the end of every meal. We left a note today to show our appreciation! We are moving soon and our biggest fear right now is finding another place that could match this quality, respect, and price! We even have -!funny catch phrase we say when we want dimsum now lol. I would so try the beef and broccoli it is my favorite it comes with white rice. If dimsum staff sees this review You guys are the best! Thank you so much!

Ordered takeout form here twice! Love their soup dumplings. It's very good! My only complaint is usually 3 are popped by the time I get them. But I'm sure when you eat there you get a lot of soup with your soup dumplings.

Tofu and Fish hotpot: Fried white fish, fried tofu, string beans, bell peppers in a sauce that is probably reduced chicken stock. I'm biased since it's one of my favorite chinese dishes. I don't know when this specific dish is amazing, but I can tell you when it's bad. Green Lake's version is anything but bad. Shrimp Stuffed Tofu: We were given a sample since they were trying something new. The sauce is similar to the tofu hotpot but has a porkier feel because of the ground pork within the dish. The tofu is the same, but the way they fried it is different, so it took a step up. The shrimp was fine, and I think they should have this on their menu. Whole Fried Chicken: It's fine. Didn't love it. There's no batter to speak of at all, and you're reliant on the spicy sauce and ginger sauce provided. Stir Fried French Beans w/ Salted Fish: Crunchy French Beans, and very salty salted fish. Not my favorite, but it keeps things different. Hot prawn salad with broccoli: The broccoli was just boiled. Nothing to talk about. The pawn was fried and bathed in mayonnaise. What's not to like? Pork Chop: This is another Chinese restaurant staple. 85% of the chinese porkchops that you eat will taste the same. This one is no different. Hokkien Fried Rice: My chinese restaurant guilty pleasure. How else can you get a shrimp fried rice bathed in an umami sauce? The restaurant did a really good job with this and I'm glad that I asked if they had it (in chinese). Service: It was a slow night, so we had all the attention that our table needed. Ambiance: The location is big and can support small families to larger gatherings. They have a private area that fits 30+ people, so they look like the go-to spot for parties.

They roll the carts through the restaurant offering lots of dumplings, soups, noodle dishes and more. We loved everything except the Turnip Cake was way too salty. Someone dumped salt or too much soy sauce onto this dish. Also we were offered vegetarian dumplings that had some greens in it, but was mostly pork. Be sure to ask about the ingredients if you don't want pork or meat in a dish. We've been here before and all other dishes were great...Chinese broccoli sautéed, dumplings with shrimp, eggplant with shrimp, sautéed wide noodles with some veggies, soup dumplings, etc. finally tried the mango dessert. It was yummy.

We were quickly and warmly greeted by the young woman working behind the desk. She was finishing up an order and then took ours. I always stick to my tried and true favorite of Thai milk tea with boba. I would give my Thai tea a 4/5- it was tasty, but lacked a bit of the stronger/earthy flavors other Thai teas have. My husband got the pineapple tea. He forgot to request boba, so his was just the drink without the bubbles. I liked the stronger flavor of his tea more than mine. The cups were adorable, with cat shaped covers and ears popping up. If you are heading down the shore and are in the mood for a bubble tea, this is a good option. They also offer tangulu (fruit dipped in crunchy, clear sugar coating). We did not try it this time, but I will definitely be back to give it a taste. I had hoped Dim Sum Restaurant would be better than what the average rating on yelp had graded it, but upon arrival into the parking lot, i saw two cars parked. I jokingly said 1 was the chef and the other was the host... Unfortunately I was right. Not a single soul was frequenting the establishment for lunch time, another red flag in my head. The dreary interior I am used to. I'll visit a hole in the wall and eat the food no questions asked. However when the tables are sticky, the menus leave a nasty dirty grease film on your fingers, that should be another tell tale sign to run. The prices were insane. each dim sum dish started at around $4.95 each. Even the most expensive Dim sum eateries, they run around $2.95 to $4.50 for a large dim sum dish. We ordered the classics Sui Mai, Har Kow, Black bean spare ribs, some fried dumplings, and I got a chicken corn egg drop soup. The food was terrible. Har Kow was probably from the multipack I can buy at the local chinese supermarket, the big 20 package that you get from the freezer. The Siu Mai came 3 per order.. not 4... Black bean spare ribs were 100% frozen, and you could see the congealed cooked blood in the sauce and on the spare ribs. Egg drop soup had an ungodly amount of yellow food coloring in it. The only saving grace was the Fried Dumplings. while small in size, they were tasty and edible. All in all, even if you're desperate for chinese dim sum. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.

It's small and probably less than 14 ppl can dine here at one time. Also, dim sum is ordered on a small menu. But what I had was authentic and very tasty! I had roast pork buns, corn and chicken dumplings, pork steamed rice roll, and beef noodle soup. The first three were excellent, while the beef noodle soup was unfortunately just average. The main problem with the soup was the broth was too watery imho and the noodles were too firm and tasted like instant noodles. The beef was tender and good at least. My friend had the pork soup dumplings and said they were good. I'll try those next time. She also had the shrimp wonton noodle soup and that also looked good. I tried the bok choy in the soup and the bok choy was terrific. Overall, this place is pretty legit when it comes to the dim sum, but the beef noodle soup can be skipped. But hopefully they'll improve that part. The soup is the only reason I can't give 5 stars. But it's a strong 4 to 4.5 stars at least.

We shared a selection of dishes, including sui mai king (plump, open-topped dumplings filled with shrimp), corn and chicken dumplings, delicate soup dumplings, pork buns filled with sweet, tender pork, and a shrimp steamed rice roll. After we finished the dim sum dishes, we moved onto the noodles. I ordered the beef noodle soup, and my brother went with the shrimp wonton noodles. All the food was fresh and flavorful, the owner was warm and welcoming, and the prices were very reasonable. Our entire meal came to under $55.

We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and had no trouble getting a table, which was a plus. We ordered the lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice, Singapore rice noodles, steamed pork soup dumplings, and sliced beef with scallion. The sticky rice was decent but a bit bland. The soup dumplings were noticeably larger than usual, which I appreciated, but the wrappers were thicker and doughier than what I'm used to, and the flavor didn't quite deliver. The Singapore noodles and beef dish were solid--nothing standout, but reliable--and it was a nice touch that the beef came with rice included, which many places charge extra for. Service was on the less attentive side, and overall there wasn't anything that really stood out as memorable. Plenty of seating to accommodate larger groups bu I'd give it 3 stars--mainly because, being in Chinatown, I expected something a bit more authentic. That said, the food is good enough and the portion-to-price ratio is fair, so I can see why others might enjoy it.
