Spicy tuna & Salmon Avocado Roll
    Katarina L.

My experience was for take out only but I already cannot wait to return. I didn't realize how hungry I was after a long night at a work event nearby and a quick Yelp search brought me to sushi heaven. It might be good to note (because a few reviews don't seem to love it) but Sogo Sushi is all brown rice. That just so happens to be my preference! Whenever I remember to, I will happily pay the extra $1 for a brown rice roll, and I am not sure why, but Sogo Sushi is 100% brown rice rolls. I stopped in around 8PM once night, ordered a salmon avocado roll & a spicy tuna and about 5 minutes later, I'm walking out with my dinner. The folk that took my order were kind and super quick, letting me know I didn't need to go and come back as it's already almost ready. When I tell you this was great sushi, I mean it! If I lived closer, I'd be a regular.

The quality of fish and the flavor of their cooked foor is incredible! Although we were surprised when everything came out with brown rice, which was a bit of a dissappointnent and affected our experience. We would have loved to give it a 4 or a 5 had we been prepared for the brown rice, or had the option to pick white rice. Overall they have a wide variety of original special rolls, and we loved their noodle appetizer!

Best sushi in the area! Always great service and a good time, can't go wrong with any rolls.

Yeah that was my mom and thank you Yelp for helping me find GLO! I got the Harvest Bowl which just so happened to be Vegan and Gluten Free. It was delicious and packed with all of my favorites like sweet potato, black beans, quinoa, etc. I usually don't opt for vegan cheeses but I honestly couldn't tell. Oh! The space is so cute with a few big tables inside and even some outside. I even took my laptop out and got some work done while I waited. Cannot wait to return.

Since moving to upstate NY four years ago, I only get to Good Karma when visiting family in NJ. During our latest trip we stopped at Good Karma to pick-up dinner on the way to my parent's house. We ordered the Love Bowl, Gado Gado Salad, and the Live Nachos. Issues: 1) The Gado Gada salad was a big miss. It's supposed to include lettuce, tofu, cabbage, carrots, roasted peanuts, and a sesame seed mix. There was ZERO sesame seed mix and literally ONE roasted peanut. We had asked the tofu be swapped for beans, which did happen, but basically all my wife got was a salad with lettuce and beans. 2) Live Nachos: what a HUGE disappointment. I've had these a number of times in the past and was really looking forward to these. One of my favorite parts has always been the creamy cashew sour cream. THIS TIME, there was one small dollop of the cashew cream. We basically paid $15 for a box of seasoned lettuce with 8 nacho chips -- not nearly enough chips to even eat with our seasoned lettuce. The Love Bowl, fortunately, was on par with my past experiences. However, the experience still left me questioning whether it's worth returning to Good Karma next time.

Service is very friendly and has a local feel. Menu is extensive with multiple vegan options. 1. Buffalo wrap - not much buffalo but was flavorful and lots of veggies. Filling still and delicious 2. Big Mac - didn't eat the middle bread part as it was lots of bread but the "meat" is good albeit a bit messy 3. Brownie - delicious, heavy, took part of it home Overall loved the options, came out hot and will be back to try more!

We got there on a Friday eventing at 5. Knowing that they don't take reservations and that there aren't that many tables we wanted to make sure that we would get a table. It is a lovely place run by lovely attentive volunteers. The whole backstory and the good they are doing goes beyond what the food tastes like. The restaurant asks for food donations (suggested $30 per person) for a 3 course meal but if you can't afford to pay you can volunteer some time for your food as well. So several tables are filled with homeless men and women who were also dining there. The appetizer and entree were tasty but the dessert (a chocolate brownie) was a bit hard and stale. Overall it was a wonderful experience that everyone should go to at least once.
