From outside, it didn't seem to have much Asian decor so never bothered to step foot inside. We did decide to give this place a try last night. There are limited parking in the back, and when stepping in, there are ample tables and had to just wait a bit. Definitely a buzz and lots of people dining in. Now we had tried other Szechuan places nearby and looking at this menu, it definitely have Szechuan style dishes, but also dishes catered toward just American Chinese as that option for diners. We ordered scallion pancake $7 and while it was not Szechuan, it had a nice bite and not too fried. For entrees, we ordered a cauliflower dry hot pot and asked for mild heat. Definitely you can taste the local Szechuan flavor profile which was satisfying. Additionally, we ordered the chicken casserole and that unfortunately was a big miss. It was boneless chicken which we did not expect and it was just drenched in some type of sweet flavor sauce. Nothing Szechuan about that and nothing we would rave about in terms of cuisine. So while we appreciate the variety of dishes offered, we will give it three strong stars. The wait staffs are very nice and attentive and they do offer BYOB (just a tip).

Closest thing to Flushing dumplings to you can get around here. I had tried a lot of dumplings around this neighborhood and they are either too doughy, thick skinned, not juicy, or felt like over marinated or super old filling. Other food are decent too.

Since my roommate does not speak Chinese, we communicated entirely in English throughout the visit, and the staff at the front counter also spoke to us in English. I have been to this restaurant many times before and have usually left an 18% tip. This was my roommate's first visit. After we finished our meal, my roommate paid the bill but did not add a tip. After noticing that no tip had been left, the staff member at the front counter came directly to our table and asked my roommate, "Cash tips?" My roommate seemed surprised and responded, "No."This interaction already made us feel very uncomfortable and pressured. In addition, both my roommate and I felt that the service had not been particularly good. After that, the staff member shouted toward the kitchen in Chinese: "These two are freeloading! They didn't leave a tip!" Since my roommate does not understand Chinese, he did not know what was being said. However, I understood the comment and found it highly inappropriate, unprofessional, and disrespectful toward customers.

I must say, I was disappointed :( Not sure if it's because the restaurant was now All You Can Eat and that's why the beef quality was meh. Just by the look of the restaurant and the menu, I was hoping close to Gyu Kaku quality but it's far from it. The marinaded meat were okay but the ones without seasoning, you can tell they are not good cuts. Even the ribeye was chewy. Was really hoping the meat would be better than the chain Asian bbq restaurants in the area. Still, it's a very pretty restaurant with detailed Chinese declarations and seatings. Would be good for a group of friends to hang out and eat as much as they want if meat quality isn't a concern. Service was ok. It was a weeknight and there's really one server taking orders off the meal and drinks. He was very busy while the other servicers do not really interact with customers but to take paper orders or clean up. For this far on Long Island, I guess that's all you can get. Can't compare with queens or the city even though it's more pricey here.

Disappointed that the amounts of each order, like lamb, steak etc al were tiny, really tiny! We had to keep reordering.. Otherwise, food was OK and fun to cook. We enjoyed ourselves but having tried others of the same ilk, which were better, we probably won't return too soon!
