Wow! What a neighborhood gem! We were looking for a place to have lunch so I checked Yelp for a recommendation and found some great reviews about Tonnam Thai in Bohemia. Quite honestly it's a small restaurant in a strip mall that I would compare to a takeout Chinese restaurant, however they have about six tables and a wonderful waitress named Masi who provided great service with a smile. We ordered Shrimp Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles with Shrimp and both dishes were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I typically don't eat spicy food so I asked for mild seasoning on drunken noodles and they were a bit spicy for me but absolutely delicious. I tasted my sister's pad thai and could not believe how good it was. The next time we go, I will definitely be ordering that pad thai. If you're thinking about going out for Thai food and you're in the area, definitely give this place a try. Firstly I never like to give five stars based only one experience, as excellent as that was. Secondly it's too bad this place is not more of a full-service restaurant with more seating. It's quite tight: On a cold winter day I can imagine being very uncomfortable when the door opens and closes. From my one visit I can tell you that that door is open and closing all the time! Super sweet woman taking care of the dining guests greeted me and had me out the door super quick. Very appreciative of my business. We had two apps (Crab Wonton/Rangoon and Spring Rolls). The Chinese broccoli tasted burnt but the noodles and chicken was way too salty. The chive cakes were way too oily. I have definitely had better. The curry puff and taro puff was good.
