Fantastic little brewery in the mountains! I had the Caesar salad with salmon, which was good but nothing to write home about. My husband had the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes however, and that was so good we were fighting over whether I could have a second bite or not! If you like fruitier beers, the saison is really good. My husband got the Sweet George brown, and it was tasty too. read more

Some great brews and apps apres ski. Really nice people working in this location. We sat in the bar area and service was fast and attentive. Not far from Keystone so if you don't want to pay slope-side prices it is a great place to stop before you hit the hot tub after a day of skiing. read more

They said it would be a 2 hour wait for a table! Whoa I know its the holidays but dang thats a bit crazy. Lucky we found space at the bar. The bar tender was super friendly not sure what her name was but she was great. The beer was very good I ordered the wheat. The food was a bit salty but pretty good. Id go back if I stay in Dillon again in the future. read more

We had the WORST experience here yesterday. From the hostess to the bartender to our waiter . Terrible customer service . Our waiter was rude to us and ignored us . We had to wave our arms to get his attention more than once . Never did get food that we ordered after waiting for over 45 minutes . So disappointing. read more

Chose this place based on the ratings. It did not disappoint! I had the chili bread bowl and my boyfriend had the chicken fried chicken. I took some fries from my friends meal. Everything was sooooooo good. Service was great too. read more

Great food. Everything was delicious. The chicken fried chicken was awesome. The trio of tacos appetizer was a great smaller meal. The kids burger was a generous size. Nathan was a nice server. Thanks. The music was too rowdy and heavy for an otherwise lively and fun atmosphere. read more

food is pretty standard, although the menu is diverse. You'll have a wait before you if you head up during the winter ski season, but then again you'll have a wait everywhere you go after 5pm in summit county!! The microbrewery beer was pretty tasty, the wine a little pricy but overall it was a good experience. read more

We came here on a Saturday evening for their happy hour. We arrived around 4:30 and were immediately seated upstairs at a nice booth. Our server was very friendly and helpful, and full of suggestions. Happy hour drinks include $2.50 pints of beer and $3 glasses of wine. I think well drinks are $2.50-3 as well. My husband toured his way through their beer list and was very pleased with them all. I chose a white wine and was then informed that they also offer white zinfandel. To class up our evening, I figured why not. Our drinks were always served cold and promptly. After a couple hours of drinking, we decided to have a bowl of soup each. I tried the seafood chowder and my husband had the french onion. My chowder was very creamy and thick. There weren't a ton of pieces of ingredients but it had a nice seafood taste. My husband was very pleased with his soup and found that it tasted very homemade. Overall, for 4 pints of beer, 4 glasses of wine and two bowls of soup, our bill came to $34. Not too shabby at all! The restaurant definitely got busy around 5:30 and there was quite a wait and so if you can, come early! read more

We came here for a late lunch last Saturday, it was good, not too busy, seated straight away upstairs. I was sad that they don't do beer flights. They do 4oz glasses for $1.50 each but a whole beer is about $4 so I went for the Pilsner, it was pretty good. We got a Mexican dip thing to start, it was great! Really yummy. Around the table, 2 of us had burgers, 1 steak sandwich and one had wings. She said the wings were good, dry rub was nice but the wings weren't very meaty. Everyone else was pretty happy with theirs too at the time. Mine was a bison burger & im not sure what it was exactly but for the next two days I was having terrible stomach pains. The service was good too, no complains there read more

It seems like every time I go to Dillam Dam Brewery I have to knock a star down. They do serve some really good traditional american staple dishes, so I realized the original 2 star review was going to be quite harsh. The first time I went to the brewery I was blown away. It is there that I tried my favorite made in colorado beer - Breckenridge Agave Wheat. As an entree, I tried Prime Rib, which was excellent. On my second and third visits I ordered sandwiches. Which were alright. Great french fries though. The last visit nailed the last nail in my Dillon Dam Brewery love coffin. You see, I was served a caesar salad on a smoking hot plate. I almost burned my hand. The lettuce was all wilted and mushy and did not have any crunch. The servers always seem to be overworked. It takes forever to order, forever to get the attention of your server, the servers forgot things. The last time we were there we waited 20 minutes to get a refill on the beer. We actually had to cancel the refill since we were already done with our meal and ready to head out. read more

Sat at the bar to have a beer and order some food to go, only to learn the kitchen won't do to go orders ?? So they brought me my "to go" food on plates and I had to package it all up my self at the bar. What a waste of resources and not very efficient or green of them. The dirty plates never had to be dirty or washed. I guess they can't be troubled to place the food in a to go container instead of on a plate ? Makes zero sense. read more

We stopped in for a quick bite and a good beer - we got both and then some. Everything was better than expected - especially the service e that Sara C provided. She was amazing- if you go, ask to be in Sara C's section. read more

Tie Dye Tuesday. That explained the loud shirts. We were hungry after climbing 3 14ers that day and were raring for steak, meat, etc. Dealing with allergies, we started with the fiesta chips minus the sour cream. It was a nicely colorful dish. Ordering a main entree proved slightly difficult, but we were provided a gluten free menu. It wasn't a separate menu, but merely consisted of guiding you toward the gluten free items or the items that could be easily modified. We ordered the ribeye and mango chipotle pork. The ribeye was good, though had a lot of fat. The pork had a nice chipotle rub, but proved slightly difficult to cut through. The rice pilaf was really tasty. The mango that came with was served like traditional fried plantains. Unusual, still tasty, missed the bitter notes that mango naturally has. Side note: why can't people spell "chipotle" correctly? Misspellings drive me mad, such as DDB interchanging the "l" and "t" in various spots on the pork menu description. read more

Dillon Dam makes some pretty good beer and food. But my favorite thing about this place is the atmosphere. The bartenders are so friendly. Almost everyone seems like a regular, and after a pint or two, you'll feel like one too. The sandwich and soup deal is the steal of the menu. Best happy hour around, 3-6pm, $2.50 pints. read more

This is a decent spot for eating when in the mountains. The wait was a little long, and not too efficient (we spotted free tables upstairs and only after awhile did someone who worked there notice and let the hostesses know). We ended up sitting in the billiards tables area and the positioning is a little tight around there. The two meals that we got were good, but not the best. We both opted for seafood options, though.. maybe since we were in a brewery, we should have tried the burgers or something else more fitting for a bar? But it is a fun/loud atmosphere and their beers are really good. read more

The beer here is a solid 4 maybe 5 stars even. Great up and down the spectrum from light lager, to stouts and great seasonal beer too. My favorite has always been the pale ale. Malty and Hoppy. It's a "dam good" beer. You can get really good food here: the fried chicken especially shines after a long ski or hiking day. But there are some potential misses, avoid the pulled pork, buffalo wings, and most of the other appetizers. The Burgers are pretty good too and they have many creative combos and toppings... you can also substitute beef for "mountain-like" fair in the same burger: Elk, Bison, Trout or chicken all available. read more

Came here the other day after a full day of hiking. We were tired, hungry and most importantly - thirsty! There isn't much in this part of town that can easily accommodate a sizable group, so we kind of chose Dillon Dam Brewery by default, but it ended up being a good decision. I ordered a veggie burger with Monterey Jack cheese and guac. Fries were good and the food was warm, which can be tricky when serving a group. As for the beer, I had their pumpkin ale; it was pretty aromatic and tasted great after a day on the trail. Pricing-wise I think it was a little on the steeper side ($17 pre tip) but at least it tasted good. There were 12 of us and I have to give props to our server Michael D for being able to not only keep tabs on us (refiling waters, paying attention to empty beers), but also to get every order correct. He even asked if we'd like separate checks, which for larger groups is not always easily or willingly accommodated. I'd give 3.5 stars overall, but bumped it up to 4 for the excellent service. Due to location I wouldn't come out of my way to go here, but if in the area again I wouldn't hesitate to pop in. read more

This is a great place to stop by when you're coming back from an adventure in Summit County. There is a large selection of beer (really... like 10-15 depending on when you go!) and all of them I have tasted have been great. My personal favorite was the IPA. We went on a Friday during lunch and had no wait/prompt service. The atmosphere is great, and you can't beat the west view of the mountains if you're sitting upstairs. I got the pulled pork sandwhich on several occasions; it's just the last time I went the bottom bread was a tad soggy and the meat was dry so I can reasonably assume it's hit or miss (reason I'm not giving 5 stars) The beer-cheese-broccoli soup was to DIE for. I'll definitely get a full serving of this next time I stop in. It's as reasonably priced as you can get in Summit County... I got a couple of beers and a plate of food and it ran me about $20. No complaints here. Until we meet again, "Dam Brewery" !! read more

I would say the Dillion Dam Brewery is more of a pub than a brewery. I want to make it clear that I only came for a beer rather than to eat (even though their food looked tasty!) Their restaurant is cool, its big and open and you can see the brewery equipment through some glass. I tried the Sweet George's Brown. My favorite kind of beers are porters and stouts, but not bitter stouts. It just wasn't my favorite. I did try my friends Wilderness Wheat, and that was alright. Next time I'm in the mountains, I do however want to try their food, and I'll probably skip the beer. read more

I really wish I could comment on the beer, which is probably what you guys would want to know anyway, but I forgot my ID! I know, great going. BUT I will say the food is pretty tasty. I had the beef stew which comes on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes (yum!), and it was great comfort food after a day of snowboarding and pain. The atmosphere was wonderful and very lively. It seems like a great place to bring a group of friends, but I saw several families with kids too that seemed to be enjoying their time read more

I had not been here in about 6 years but stopped in with my wife on our way through Silverthorne. The place is definitely nostalgic for me having come here many times growing up, but even so, I think it is an awesome brewpub in general. This time was the first occasion where I could actually drink the beer, so I was very excited for that! I had one of their IPAs and it was really delicious. I was surprised at the number of beers available that they make here. Usually breweries have a handful of 5 to 10, but they had closer to 15 ! The food was ok - I had the smoked pulled pork sandwich which I thought was a little dry and did not taste very smoked. The fries were amazing though. We came here on a Saturday night so it was super busy, but luckily there were just two of us so we snagged a table in the bar right away (open seating). I will definitely come back here in the future when we are passing through the area again. read more

Dillon Dam Brewery - Nice and open inside - American Near Me - Dillon, Colorado

Lackluster food and service. Tried to order a burger with lettuce as a bun or as a wrap instead of a bun. Got an undercooked burger with two half wilted pieces of lettuce. Opted for a salad instead of fries. The blue cheese dressing was watery tasting and not a quality dressing at all. There was so much grated carrot on the salad it was off putting. And the names of everything have dam in it. Come on.... read more

I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and the Here's Your Dam IPA. Service was fast and food was good, no complaints.

Normally, when I eat at a restaurant twice on a business trip it's because a restaurant blows me away. With Dillon Dam Brewery, it felt like we ate there twice more because we didn't have any better ideas and needed a beer and a place to watch Monday Night Football after a 14-hour day. And with that said, what you can say about Dillon Dam Brewery isn't that different than what you can say about most brew pubs. They have pretty good beer and pretty average food. On the good side, the beers are pretty much what you'd expect from a Colorado brewery. The water was crisp and clean and the hops provided a nice complexity. My favorite was the Dam Gough, a Belgian take which didn't put the Belgian too in your face. It had all the usual fruit notes and high-APV count, yet was surprisingly drinkable. The Sweet Georgia Brown was also pretty aptly named, because it was as smooth as one would expect a beer named after the Globetrotters theme song to be. The food, on the other hand, ranged from bland to merely okay. On my first visit, I went with the Cortez Burger. When I asked to swap out the Monterrey Jack cheese for Cheddar though, I was told no substitutions and that I could get the burger I wanted through their build-a-burger for $2.35 more. I'm not sure if it would've made a difference if I had done that. The burger was dry and it didn't have much flavor, which leads to the question how do you make a bland burger out of a spicy green chile? To add insult to injury, the fries were overcooked as well. On the second night, the dish was a bit better. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken, which was incredibly fun to say. The chicken was on the bland side as well, but the caramelized onions and spinach made it decent. All in all, three stars feels about right. I'd go back if I were in the neighborhood and wanted a beer. But I'm not sure I'd feel good about recommending it either. read more

The Rocky Mountain Root Beer is well worth the price, I don't usually even like soda but this stuff is phenomenal. So vanilla-y and caramel-y. The fall-off-the-bone ribs come with a tomato sauce with a little kick that I found delicious. This is a great spot to hit up if you are in town for skiing. Be prepared to wait a while, we always do, but it's always worth it! read more

I've probably been here 5 or 6 times over the years. It remains extremely popular, and on Saturday nights during ski season, there's a wait by 5PM. We got there around 5:30PM and were told it'd be a 20-25 minute wait; however, we were seated within 15. The staff is friendly. They're always busy and rushing around, but kudos to them for still being courteous and professional amid hungry skiers and grumpy kids. The worst part: for some reason on our most recent visit, the restaurant just seemed DIRTY, and it wasn't even the main part of the evening yet. Our table was wiped off, but our booth seats still had tons of crumbs and the host didn't offer to wipe it down before he disappeared. When my water arrived, the glass still had a lipstick mark stuck on it. My husband's appetizer plate was encrusted with a dried out SOMETHING, which the server spotted and offered to replace it - unfortunately she forgot, so he just shared mine. And overall it just seemed like the floors and other things needed a good vacuuming and scrubbing. I've always enjoyed Dam's beers. The food is average; I think the best dish I've had was many years ago in the form of French Onion Soup. The Asiago Ale dip was nothing special, but it was good good after a day of physical exertion. I enjoy their fries and onion rings, but on this last visit I thought my burger was only passable. I was surprised to find that when I ordered the buffalo meat for my Zurich, the patty appeared to be of the pre-frozen kind as it was way too uniform in look and was the exact same size as another diner's. The regular beef my friend ordered actually looked more appetizing and fresh, which was disappointing since the buffalo had a $4 upcharge. Whether or not my patty was previously frozen, it somehow didn't have that gamey, rich flavor I'd expect in buffalo burgers. They do have TVs and a wrap-around bar along with pool tables. Parking gets crowded QUICKLY, and they do not take reservations. read more

One of my favorite places to eat in Dillon. Dillon Dam is also a favorite for everyone else in the area because the place is always packed. Be prepared to wait on a Saturday night during ski season. Parking may be an issue as well, but there is some parking on the street and surrounding area. The happy hour deals on pints are really good. I cannot remember if it is a few dollars off or 50%. I paid $2.75 for my pints. Dillon Dam has a great menu you would not expect to find at a lot of breweries. The burgers are good, but my favorite is the beer cheese dip. The beers they have are pretty standard, but good none the less. They usually have a more adventurous rotating tap. This would be a 5 star review, but Dillon Dam is one of those breweries who refuses to fill up any growler but their own. If every brewery did this I would need 20+ growlers. It is a wasteful policy that is trying to boost sales. Plus, you cannot have your aluminum growler for the outdoors filled. I skip the beer to go and bring my growlers from Denver or go to other mountain breweries for my growler fills. read more

One of my top favorite places to stop in Summit County after a long day of snowboarding. The views from the second floor are absolutely breathtaking, even after staring at them for an hour! I usually get a burger, as they are perfectly cooked and are served with the best fries. Yummy! Their beer selection is awesome, which everyone else seems to be saying! I would just like to get up there for brunch some time, it always looks amazing. Some of the wait staff could use a little help in regard to keeping my beverage full, but that's just being nit-picky. :) Love this place! read more

Decided to try Dillon Dam Brewery as I read reviews about its gluten free options. Their menu is clearly labelled with GF options with many Nacho and dip appetizer possibilities. Also, the waiters appear well educated on what is gluten free and what is not. In terms of main menu items there is a trout, prime rib, steak, burgers and salads to choose from. I think it has great options with very nice large portion size, perfect if you are hungry after a few hours of skiing. I've been here for lunch and dinner and have had no incidents/ contamination issues. read more

Operating at 25% but worth the wait. We had the two chicken dishes and the chili bread bowl. All delicious. I went here on my way into town to ski for the weekend and loved everything about it. I got the half salad and beer soup which is basically like a chicken tortilla soup. Both of them were fabulous and perfect on a cold Colorado day! We sat at the bar and the only thing negative I can really say about this place is that the bartender didn't really pay attention to us much at all - ie: we wanted to get more to drink and he was just talking to everyone else at the bar and when I tried to wave him down - he acted annoyed with us even though we are the customers. He did seem to know a lot about the menu, which is great, but it would've been nice if he would've been more attentive. I do want to go back and try other things on the menu since the restaurant was so crowded and it looked like everything on the menu was tasty! Cheers! read more

Once my favorite brewery, how a second trip years later can change things. Distorted memories are my crux. The bison burger I reviewed is actually a buffalo burger. If I was in some sort of altered state when I had it last, I would understand. The second take was dry, tasteless and outright awful. Two of my favorite beers were not on tap (out of season or out of stock, I'm not sure): Hefe-weizen and Wildernest wheat. What I once thought of as the best brewery around fails to offer the beer snob in me anything I enjoy. You can't totally fault Dillon Dam. For a ski town, $2.50 draft beer is a rare find. read more

The porter was the bomb! It is a must try. The only thing to try. This place is way too busy, but the happy hour was great! Macaroni, nah! The beer, yes! Way too packed to give five stars. But good service helped. I would recommend coming here for that porter. read more

The hubby and I visited Dillon Dam for Happy Hour and had a really nice time! We sat in the bar area which was nice - very open with a view of both floors and several TVs. The tables always seemed to be full, but it never felt too crowded, which is always nice. We sampled many of the Dillon Dam beers and they were all really good. Favorites were the Sweet George's Brown and the Pale Ale. Since it was happy hour pints and appetizers were discounted, so we had to try the Brewery Pretzels with house made mustard and their Asiago Ale dip. YUM! True, it's hard to muck up a pretzel, but the mustard was great and the cheese dip - amazing. We saw lots of plates come out to the tables around us, and everything looked delicious. Went with the kids after skiing. Great nachos. Lots of traditional pub food, but also a good selection of wraps and salads. The service was really good - she did a great job with a carry out order and leftovers. Two kids had the fried chicken with mashed potato and demolished it. The other had the Caesar salad and liked it. I had the mushroom sandwich and like it as well. Of course, there is the beer. I had the Irish stout and the extra pale ale. Really liked both of them and wish I had room for the wheat ale. Cool place. There is a loft area where you can check out the brewing equipment. read more

Beers are fantastic. Octoberfest is perfectly brewed and the Sweet George Brown Ale is so tasty you can't just have one. The food is what you would expect. Good burgers and lots of pasta and salad options. I had the Philly burger and it was good. Not great but not bad. Salad was excellent and clearly used good quality fresh vegetables. The onion soup was excellent. Hint of beer and lots of onion. Service was excellent and they had our food made faster then I expected. I would eat here again when in town. read more
