If it was possible to give less than 1 star I would. The service was absolutely terrible, the food was even worse, and my friend has a Mr. Brew kit that has produced better beer. It could have just been an off day for everyone, but I I would never go back to find out. I have severe food allergies and I don't think the server actually checked the contents of what I asked about to see if the food was safe for me. I got incredibly sick due to the negligence. read more

We came back to Dillon Dam Brewery today because we enjoyed it last year on vacation. Unfortunately, distance makes the heart grow fonder. The beer was still delightful. However, the food left something to be desired. My boyfriend ordered the Bison meatloaf. The meatloaf tasted bland and the cranberry-based sauce on top was unappealing. Similarly, the garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli that accompanied it were under-seasoned. This was very disappointing for both of us. My meal, the chicken fried chicken, was much better in comparison. However, still very under seasoned. I don't think we will be returning for anything except for beer. read more

Went there on our way to frisco to prepare for our skiing trip cool restaurant with good food and fast service I had the chicken fried chicken and it was very good I would recommend for quick good lunch read more

Great food! Great beer! These guys are a must visit in summit county. I am along time local and I love there food and there staff. They have a great keg program if you are into tapping. Only problem is they don't seem have the greatest of deals for locals. They will give you a local price on beers if they remember you. All in all a great place read more

My boyfriend and I don't drink, but so many people recommended this place that we decided to try it on the last night of our vacation in Dillon. I was so glad we went! Even without the experience of their crazy selection of brews, it was still awesome. 20 min wait for 2 on a Sunday night at 6. We started with the Asiago-ale dip appetizer. It came with carrots, celery, and naan bread for dipping and was wonderful with all three. Super creamy and delicious. My boyfriend had the blue buffalo bison burger and said it was great. The burger came with seasoned fries that were super good too. Just the right amount of seasoning and all crisp. I had the chicken fried chicken, which came with gravy, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, and grilled onions. It was an interesting presentation, with everything sort of piled together but I loved every bite. The green beans were perfect and the mashed potatoes and gravy went really well with the seasoning/crust of the chicken. Would definitely recommend and will be back next time we're in Dillon! read more

Awesome food & service! Ask for Brandon if you want great service who really knows the menu.

Five bucks for a heaping pizza tray of nachos during happy hour! That and a tasty DAM beer to wash it down. Yum

Cool place. Good beer. Ok food. Nice layout.

ate at the Dam Brewery recently. it has really gone down hill from years past. We dropped 90 bucks for three people and the food was mediocre at best. The salad entrees were small and left us still hungry. read more

What a disappointment! The only reason they received 2 stars is because Ashly my server was friendly and did a good job. It isn't her fought the Kitchen and Management doesn't have a clue. I ordered the PRIME rib medium rare. It came out Medium well, I sent it back after 5 minutes they returned with a medium rare piece. Then the baked potato and vegies were stone cold. You would think they would be sure that they were replaced or warmed up again. So they took the Potato and Veggie backed and nuked them. The PRIME rib was actually a institutional choice cut (not Prime), mainly used for sandwiches and Casino buffets. The management never came out to check why the food was sent back twice. The Cheese soup and Beer were good! The $24 spent on the "PRIME RIB" was a waste. I will take my left overs and slice it thin(so its not so tough) and cover it in ketchup and make it a sandwich. read more

Very cool little restaurant but I feel like the dishes we chose were not the best that the restaurant has to offer. I had the trout and my husband had the bison meatloaf. Both dishes were dry and overcooked. But the menu is vast and I'm sure that there are many delicious dishes. Everything is house made which is very cool. read more

Great happy hour. 4 beers and 2 large appetizers were under $30. Wait staff was friendly and attentive, food was good, beers were great. Nice stop in Dillon. read more

First time here--for a brewery, the food is yummy! Even the house salad w/ beef tenderloin was very flavourful!

I had one of the best Mac and cheese ever, the service was good, could have been a little more on the ball. The Margarita was really fine. Nachos are huge. Good cold beer! The nachos was huge and enough for everyone at our table of four. read more

Great place! Wonderful atmosphere!! The food is phenomenal, especially the onion soup and veal cutlet. Friendly bar staff

Our food was delicious and our Waitress Abbey went above & beyond our service. Our son's burger was very over cooked & they without hesitation replaced it & the manager even came by to apologize. Best service we have had. read more

Yup, one of my favorite places! The beer is terrific - all brewed right there and some of the specialty/seasonals are super tasty too. Watch the alcohol content - it can sneak up on you! The food is really solid - my favorite is the chicken fried chicken which comes with carmelized onions on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and skinny green beans - absolutely to die for! If you want a burger, I go for the buffalo - meaty, juicy and lean (get it medium rare). Chicken wings are a go-to - I like them extra crispy. Fish n chips are good, my friends love the pretzel appetizer (too much gluten for me) - and the soup and salads are always great. Happy hour from 3-6 is a smashin deal - apps are half price Mon-Thursday. This place is super popular with both locals and tourists so if it's a busy time of year expect to wait . . . but if you have one of their tasty beers in hand, it's time well spent. read more

Great location, food was on point. Had the bison burger and was cooked perfectly and flavored wonderfully. Service was great and look forward to going back next time I'm in the area. read more

We loved this place! It was delicious. We ordered the chicken nachos and the only thing I can say negative is that I wasn't terribly hungry for my tasty bison burger when it arrived. read more

Great go-to restaurant for just about anyone. Never had a bad meal and prices are decent. Can be a bit loud on the week-ends in the evenings but always good service. read more

We really enjoyed this place! There was a 15 mintue wait to be seated ...worth it! It was a great choice for a good time with friends. The beer was good..my husband loved the German style beer, they have an option of sizes in beer, the cider in a bottle was delicious, the burgers and schnitzel were fantastic...the server was pretty busy and still kept us happy...we really had enjoyed everything. read more

We ate here based on reviews and we were not disappointed. We came mid-October but the food and service were great, despite being in the off season. To top it off, our 3 kids loved picking out a toy on the way out. Unfortunately I didn't sample the beers, but I definitely will when I'm back. read more

I have never been so appalled or insulted in my life. I literally created a Yelp account to provide this review. After attending a wedding, we took a shuttle which was pre-planned, to the Dillon Dam Brewery. After arriving and waiting for a bartender to take my order, I was informed that the bar would not be serving the entire wedding party. With an hour and a half to closing, they refused to serve over 50 people. It was not until the bride and groom arrived and informed the bar that they had spent over a $1,000 the previous night for the dress rehearsal dinner - that the manager finally "allowed" us to stay. I have never been disrespected like this in a restaurant before and fully recommend no-one ever visit this venue because they do not care or respect their customers. read more

Absolutely horrible service - extremely slow. Was complaining on the way out - said we wouldn't eat here again. - funny another couple heard us and said they would come back again either the service was so bad read more

We have tried to come here a couple times, but the wait times were way too long. I'm happy that we found a night that wasn't insane. I can now see why it is hard to get in here. The food, atmosphere and service were all wonderful. This place is extremely kid friendly. They have some great beers. We will definitely be back. read more

As father of the groom, I searched for quite a while to find the perfect place to accommodate our large wedding rehearsal dinner party plans, folks were coming in from all over the country. After a few calls, Kim the manager's gracious and understanding manner and skills came through for us with flying colors! Everyone in our group from Grandma's to flower girls, to friends of the bride loved the interesting and delicious food (and drink) selections and had great things to say about the dinner -- Dillon Dam Brewery and the rustic atmosphere were top notch. Christina F. was one of the most outstanding and efficient waitresses I've ever seen, even when 4-late comers showed up and half the table moved she still got everyone's order correct, the kitchen staff moved like Ninjas and the late orders showed up quickly. Wow what a great experience! Thank You All for making a great memory for our families! read more

Great beer. I'd recommend Dam Straight. Burgers were good. Friendly staff. Quite a few t.v.'s in the bar area. They have a nice upstairs with a pool table. Be sure to be ready for a wait as this is a local favorite. read more

Always great food and drinks! On every trip up to the Silverthorne/Dillon includes a stop at the Dam brewery.

this was a late night dinner on the 2011 christmas ski vacation. table for 8. service was above average. beer was great, lots of flavor and good selection. food was standard. not bad but not great, however that being said.... you wont go away unhappy with what you ate.... overall i would probably go back and after a great ski day nothing better than a hand crafted brew! read more

I like the food but the staff is more interested in talking to each other than seating people. They actaully sat people that came in five minutes after us before us. We actually left because nobody said anything to us and there were many empty tables. Bummer it used to be a cool local hangout. read more

beer is well-crafted, but the beer menu talks down to you as if you had never had a real beer, and my extra pale ale was much too hoppy - -more in the American IPA fad style (they had an IPA on the menu too, but i made my order clearly and the water repeated it) food was okay; veggie burger was Boca brand, which is our least favorite; fries were a little greasier than necessary; nice to find malt vinegar on the table the atmosphere on an off-season Thursday night was incredibly loud; i couldn't hear most of what my companions had to say; the place needs sound dampening what was worst, and why i give only two stars, was the service; the waiter completely forgot to bring my partner a requested sample beer and never asked her again if she wanted a drink; after the food was delivered there was basically no interaction -- i noticed him look at our table from a distance a few times, but he never bothered to ask if i wanted another beer, and he had to be flagged down to give us our bill ... the place is just a factory for pushing through meals and patrons after such treatment the waiter would have gotten our minimum 15% tip, but our party of five had an 18% mandatory gratuity, which turns out to be their policy with separate checks; this reinforces the factory feel; overall we are unlikely to return though we are in the area a few times each year read more

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Go hungry though, huge portions!

I had a great burger here along with an Arnold Palmer. The atmosphere was relaxed and our waiter was very attentive. I would go there again if I was in the area. read more

I visited this place with a couple guys on a trip to Denver earlier this year. Nice place with decent food. We had hummus, buffalo burger, and french dip sandwich. Oh, also had few beers. The beers are on the top of the list of what we enjoyed. Service was a little slow and the waiter made few mistakes (i.e., ordered onion rings to replace fries but still got fries). The place is very pleasant and we had our lunch outside and that was gorgeous! Price was reasonable and portion was good. Is this any different than other micro breweries/pub in the country? Probably not from the beer and food standpoint. But if you add the clean Dillon air and the surrounding breath taking sceneries, this is a place you shouldn't miss. After you had a chance to enjoyed the beauties of lake Dillon the food and beers some how would taste a lot better. read more

Their in-house brewed beers are the highlight. For a place that puts a lot of work and pride into their beer, the food is a total miss. If I ever went again, I wouldn't eat. read more

Perfect. Kendrick was my server. Love this place! I'd give my left ear for another dam Cortez burger

Great beer, good food, meh service. Bar service has been good, even when it's busy, and it's busy a lot. Table service is just ok, and worse when it's busy. They do not do to go orders, even when it's only moderately busy which is a bummer. read more

Whenever we stay at our place in Vail, this is a must stop on our way home. The only thing we don't like about it is how crowded it can get, but you can't blame the crowds for gathering there. It is great place. We especially like stopping by in the summer when we can sit on the patio. Always try some of their special beers. They also have some great soups. We've never been disappointed. read more

good food good bartenders. always a solid place to stop if your looking to dine with the family and grab a good local beer

Very neat to see the brewing process as you are seated to eat. Large bar with tv's and good music. Food was outstanding and the price was good as well. We will definitely dine there again! read more
