Went suit shopping and was thoroughly impressed with the staff. Mateo was excellent in getting the required measurements and helping select out a new suit. Mateo clearly stated the timeline that the tailor would need to get the suit I picked to fit my measurements. Once the suit was ready Mateo called me and let me know that it was ready to be picked up. Also was very happy to get a very nice suit on a really good sale. Overall very impressed with my experience at this location. read more

I bought a pair of shoes on 12/23 for $160. Those same shoes were 40% off on 12/26 and they would not offer a price adjustment. Told me that I would have to return them and then wait 48 hrs to try and purchase them again (risk them being gone). read more

They appear to think they are on Rodeo Dr. Newsflash your in a mall in Mentor! I went and bought a dress shirt for a funeral the salesman gets the shirt in large as everything else is to big and puts in a bag done deal. The shirt is actually a medium and to tight for an all day affair. I return the shirt wanting it in an actual large and the salesman claims there are holes all over it. I can't see them but he insists they are there and won't just trade me shirts and refuses to take the shirt back or make any kind of suggestion he just walks away like I'm a kid and he can't be bothered Ok I will never buy anything from your store, mission accomplished! In todays market the guys a fool. So act all distinguished and walk around doing nothing as you were when I came in. Brilliant!! read more

Girl on the second floor kept on flowing us and pushing us to buy very expensive things. She was rude and only cared about the clothes but my girls feelings. She grabbed clothes out of my hands and said do you need a fitting room. I hand has hurt ever since. When we were in the fitting room she would knock on the door while we were changing and say do you need anything. When we came out and did not like what we put on she would look us in the eyes and say are you sure are you sure. She was very pushing and mean. read more

I worked at the Mentor location from March 2021-Sept 2022. They do not treat their workers well. Upper Management act like they're in some elite clique and they act like everyone's ultimate goal should be to manage their own store one day. Unless you wanna stick your nose up your managers butt and get pushed around for peanuts, don't work here. Oh, and they've cut both employee and customer benefits/sales to keep their high margins so there's not as much of an incentive to shop there as there was before... my guess is within the next 5 years, Dillard's Great Lakes will be closed due to low sales/no business. read more

Yesterday I took my 19 year old son to the Mentor Dillard's for a sport coat, pants, shirt, etc. to wear to a wedding rehearsal dinner that night. Howard from the Men's department was awesome. He helped pick out really nice clothes that were reasonably priced and even made a phone call to a tailor to have the pants altered that afternoon so my son could wear them the same day. Howard is the reason we'll return instead of buying on-line. Thanks! read more

Absolutely the worst ever. Very hard to get service at the fragrance counter. I always have to pull out my phone and call customer service to have "someone run right down" this was my last trip here to this Dillard's. read more

I went to Dillard's to find a dress for a wedding. So I finally found a dress and it also had an extra 30% off sign above it. So I went to check and then the clerk named Valentina Panic said that the dress wasn't an extra 30% off. So I told her that there is a sign and she looked at it and told me that the sale was over yesterday. So I told her then why is it still up for people to see. So I told that I should still get the discount because it's not my fault that no one took the sign down. So I had her call a manager and after 15 minutes the "manager" came up and told us that the sale was over and there was nothing that she could do about it. In my head I'm thinking if she's the manager then why can't she override. Then the "manager" started to get smart so I politely asked for both of their names and then we went down stairs. Why we headed to the elevator the clerk started taking down the signs. Then I said now your taking them down and the "manager" said something smart again. So I headed to the elevator and went downstairs, heading to the exit I then see another clerk and I ask her who's the store manager and she says a different person. After that I was down and I was getting ready to leave and then I see the "manager" with a black lady talk and she keeps looking back at me. I guess she thought hanging with a black girl would make her feel safe or something. But after I left I vowed to never go back there and you shouldn't either. Also the "managers" name is Sarah Thomas and also the clerk was actually really nice and knew what she could do. read more

Below is a copy/paste of what has been posted by me on Dillards Corporate website. What the post fails to mention is that I am a size 8 swimsut...that is was I was trying on last night: While checking out the clerk made a comment about me be pretty and don't let be chubby/chunky make me depressed. I made a comment about the swimsuit offerings depressed me...not much available. Dillards, I am the consumer from the above and below comments. Still this morning I am angered by the comment made last evening. I spoke to the manager on duty, I was upset, in tears and not feeling well....granted I lost my cool (anyone would have). I demanded an apology by the clerk to which I was told, "I am not going to have another incident, so I am apologizing". Sorry Dillards that does not cut it....the clerk is the one that needs to apologize the manager was NOT the person that caused the problem nor is it within her ability as a human to apologize for something she did not do. When I told the manager if I did not get an apology from the clerk I would take to social media the response to me was, "If that is what you feel you need to do". This response made me more angry! This clerk needs to apologize to me, she needs to be removed from the selling floor and placed in a position that does not require her to work with the public. I have had bad customer service in many stores, this goes beyond service read more
