Ollie's is a cluttered bargain basement store with all of the random stuff you never knew you wanted. It's a bit messy, and some of the aisle are a bit narrow. After shopping at Marc's for many years, I was shocked last week when I noticed the prices on many…read moreitems jumped 20%, 30%, 40%, and more. American cheese went from $3.99/lb to $5.99/lb. Chicken Salad from $3.99/lb to $6.99/lb. The same with all the Deli meats, most produce and everything else. It is as if they purposely are trying to put themselves out of business. Many brands and type of items are no longer available. I have read that their supplier went out of business and they are desperately paying top dollar for everything and passing it on. I now see that other nearby stores are much less expensive and that Marc's no longer offers a reason to go there anymore. With the tariffs looming on the horizon, I don't see how they can stay in business much longer.

They always have good items, store is always clean, and the people that work there are always…read morefriendly. Prices are always fair. However, my complaint is more corporate based. How come there are 6 self-checkouts, however customers are not allowed to use them now? Corporate makes the already over-worked employees (mainly one) check people out on the self-checkout machines. Last time I went, that caused a line because one employee worked on the self checkout machine while the other 5 or so were closed while it was super busy. People around me were starting to complain. If it's the fear of theft, I have an idea. Open up the self-checkouts and have an employee check receipts and items to make sure that they match up.

Sorry 5 below, you get an F today.

There was a lot of other regional stuff though (Homostupids, Guns) and the stoner metal section was worthy of many bong rips. Worth the drive from the west side at least once a month.

Their donut selection is pretty good when in stock. Their sprinkle donuts all taste like cinnamon so beware, I had to throw mine out as I cannot have any. I did notice that their prices are way above Aldi, when they used to be comparable. Nearly twice the price for bacon. Meat is only a good deal if you catch a percentage off sticker. I love that they have toys, a better selection than Target. They have a good "meal" selection by the deli. Meal deal w/ 1 side (jojos or mac n cheese) w/ roll and drink. I don't think the drink machine has ever worked FYI, so if you plan to have a meal inside you have to bring your own. I had the mistake of using points on a free drink and there were no "zero sugar" options, just plain coke, root beer, sparkling water. I have tried to grab a drink well over 10 times at this location and not once was the machine actually stocked, unfortunately. Better off getting panda express across the parking lot.
