We were there to purchase Bird Seed in large bags. Oakwood had run out. One of the people unloading trucks, came in, took to to where the seed had been there, but covered with summer cushions. He also told us to be sure to ask for help in loading the 8 big bags into our car. He went beyond where he had to and it was well received. Wish we could say the same for the unfriendly cashier who checked us out. A young man walking into the store, an employee, stopped and help my senior husband load our car. The original gentleman also came out. Thanks for a neat, friendly store and we will drive the extra 1/2 hour to shop there

After shopping at Marc's for many years, I was shocked last week when I noticed the prices on many…read moreitems jumped 20%, 30%, 40%, and more. American cheese went from $3.99/lb to $5.99/lb. Chicken Salad from $3.99/lb to $6.99/lb. The same with all the Deli meats, most produce and everything else. It is as if they purposely are trying to put themselves out of business. Many brands and type of items are no longer available. I have read that their supplier went out of business and they are desperately paying top dollar for everything and passing it on. I now see that other nearby stores are much less expensive and that Marc's no longer offers a reason to go there anymore. With the tariffs looming on the horizon, I don't see how they can stay in business much longer.

How come there are 6 self-checkouts, however customers are not allowed to use them now? Corporate makes the already over-worked employees (mainly one) check people out on the self-checkout machines. Last time I went, that caused a line because one employee worked on the self checkout machine while the other 5 or so were closed while it was super busy. People around me were starting to complain. If it's the fear of theft, I have an idea. Open up the self-checkouts and have an employee check receipts and items to make sure that they match up.

Daniel who assisted me at Mattress Firm was by far the most knowledgeable on the products. He was professional, courteous, friendly, and there was no pressure to purchase nor steering to a higher cost product. I was fairly certain I wanted a temperpedic due to back issues and I was delighted to see they had all the models to try! Daniel explained the difference between them all, encouraged me to try all of them, and answered my many questions. As this was going to be a pricey purchase I needed a few days to think on it and go back and revisit the store and retest the mattresses. The second visit service was again phenomenal with Daniel. I did purchase a Temperpedic mattress and I am looking forward to delivery this weekend. Daniel went over all the warranty info in detail. Truly top notch service and made this process pleasant and stress free! I had an opportunity to talk to the other reps at the store while I was trying out mattress and all were friendly, courteous, professional and extremely knowledgeable. It is apparent they love their jobs and love working for this company. I would HIGHLY recommend Mattress Firm as the place to go for mattresses!
