My son and I love vinyl. I'm a '70s kid from high school and college, so I know a lot of music…read more We've been to several record shops. This one has to be our favorite. The guy at the counter was super friendly, and just reeked Cool. He loves the rescue cat that roams the stores. He even has a coin box and poster explaining a cat rescue group. I like that compassion. The shop is cool with album covers on the floor. That is an art piece in itself. Today is my birthday, and my son is buying. First on the list is Jefferson Starship's Red Octopus. Other shops have told us the album is hard to find, sells fast, expensive. We found it!!!! The price was very good!!! I'm ecstatic! Also got The Doors, Three Dog Night, and Gordon Lightfoot. I've heard about Robin Trower, so I got one of his albums. They have a listening turntable with headphones that I used. There is a group of nostalgic records that were goofy and fun. A small stage is for anyone to perform. Inquire at the store.

Also, honest. The day I arrived I could not remember exactly where the store was, so I called again. Noah was very kind again and narrowed it down. Upon entry Noah was very friendly and helpful. He smiled and we laughed at some of the goofiness I entered the store with. I think I had two LP boxes, and Noah came to aid. Pete the owner came out at some point and amidst all the small talk, you could tell these folks are what small independent places need. They went through my stuff and we'd have some small chats todo about nothing really. I can babble when I sense friendliness. Save in point if you're reading the review. You could see the regulars that come by, other folks... and just a genuine cool place with a cool owner and co-worker. They could teach a graduate school class on customer service. We need that lately it seems! On a scale of 1-5 they should get a 10 for just being human and humane. As I was leaving Pete and I had a very cool, relatively personal conversation which was very endearing. So if you're on the east side of CLE or early for a show at the Beachland on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday... check em out!

It's an actual house they converted into a store. So many rooms themed. Retro video games. Retro dvd and vhs tapes. They have a big sports themed room w tons of old school Browns and Indians items. I have now lived in Ohio for about five months now and so far I have not been impressed by the thrift stores they have to offer. One day I took my daughter to this store called The Retro Attic, she was spending some time with her friend. They wanted to do some shopping. They spend about an hour or so at the Retro Attic and that's when I came to pick them up, but before we left I had to look around the Retro Attic. The Retro Attic is a huge thrift store that offer everything from comics, cds, records, retro toys, cloths, sports memorabilia, videos games, and pretty much everything else retro. The store has two levels and every room is dedicated to a different thing. My favorite room was the room dedicated to the Horror Genre, the room had a huge collection of horror stuff like VHS tapes, Horror Toys, Horror T-Shirts, and many more Horror related items. The Retro Attic also has very reasonable prices. If you ever find yourself driving through Akron Ohio area I highly recommend stopping by the Retro Attic, a place where you can buy a part of your childhood.
