I used to go every week when they first opened. Now I only go for specific items. I do enjoy their cookie cakes & they have a good selection of cakes (if you go at the right time, apparently noon during a weekday you will be out of luck). Their donut selection is pretty good when in stock. Their sprinkle donuts all taste like cinnamon so beware, I had to throw mine out as I cannot have any. I did notice that their prices are way above Aldi, when they used to be comparable. Nearly twice the price for bacon. Meat is only a good deal if you catch a percentage off sticker. I love that they have toys, a better selection than Target. They have a good "meal" selection by the deli. Meal deal w/ 1 side (jojos or mac n cheese) w/ roll and drink. I don't think the drink machine has ever worked FYI, so if you plan to have a meal inside you have to bring your own. I had the mistake of using points on a free drink and there were no "zero sugar" options, just plain coke, root beer, sparkling water. I have tried to grab a drink well over 10 times at this location and not once was the machine actually stocked, unfortunately. Better off getting panda express across the parking lot. read more

Clean store that you could spend hours in. I like to go on off hours to avoid the crowds and enjoy the huge isles more to myself. Yet, even if crowded, the isles are huge so you don't have to be on top of someone you don't know to pass their cart. The store features local and select unique goods which is great. Decent selection of varieties in about any good your looking for. Besides food items , the store has just added a vet to assist with your animals. There is a area dedicated to your animals needs (food, leashes, toys ect ). They sell fish for aquariums as well. There is a garden area, clothing and home goods portion of the store too. An electronics area too. The store has a bit of everything! read more

We love Meijer! Many self-checkouts makes it very rare that we have to wait, and the store has an awesome selection of products. I always tell people, if you can't find it somewhere else, check Meijer! My only complaint is that it is fairly frequent that the store is out of a particular item, which means that I have to make an extra trip later in the week. I love Meijer's let me say that first. In fact I drive from Middlefield to Mentor to grocery shopping. I went to get my Thanksgiving fixings, which included a Meijer turkey which was on sale. The turkey when I picked it up didn't notice that had a scan code for price. I got to the self checkout I quickly rang up my other items it was somewhere between 12 and 1 (I didn't have a watch on). By the way I am a disabled veteran and use a cane to assist me in walking. One of their associates came to me and told me that I would have every thing voided out and go back to the meat department to get a tag. I pointed out my disability and she said I really don't care. When I asked her name she positioned herself so I could not read her name tag. I asked one more time and she said I was tying up the self checkout line. I informed her she could keep the turkey and paid for my other stuff. I will go back but I am troubled they hired such a non caring individual. read more

Once again Meijers prime rib was excellent. At $7.99 a pound it was available to many more people than the super rich. Juicy, so tender and full of that awesome flavor. They have the best prices in Mentor. Also a Butterball Turkey for Thanksgiving at the best price of all the big stores in the area. Giant Eagle and Heinens were twice the price. We've been going here since they opened, and now it's our primary grocery store. Their fruit and vegetables are great, and sometimes they get a great deal on something like strawberries, and sell them for a really great price. I got 6 lbs of strawberries (2 lbs for $5), just 7 days ago, and just finished them today. I didn't throw a single one out, same thing with the blackberries and blueberries I bought at the same time. They have deals on vegetables like baby carrots and broccoli crowns frequently, though the broccoli crowns have some overripe spots, it's so cheap ($1 each) I buy an extra one if they seem to have too many. Their deli is another spot of fantastic quality. They carry Deitz and Watson deli meats and cheeses, which are the best of the best deli products around. Nothing is pre-cut, everything is cut to order. They also have other brands, along with their own, all with great prices. Every week one or another is on sale. The people who work the deli counter are familiar with the products, and happy to advise you and give samples to help you make your decision. Their customer service is awesome, there is always someone around to help you, to find something or help you with your questions. They don't just tell you the isle, they go there with you to make sure you can find it. If they don't carry it, they make a note of it and sometimes you find it later on the shelves. It's a full service store, with a pharmacy and recently opened a vet service as well. The pharmacy has well trained staff, and they will help you find the best cost for your medication. They will answer any questions you have, and are very knowledgeable. All in all, Meijers is our favorite store for everything we get on a regular basis. Their prices are much better than most of the stores around here, with the quality to match. They are always around to make sure you can find what you need, and I've even talked to department managers, with questions I have about the food under their supervision. They have always taken the time to talk to me, and answer my questions, and after that they will greet me when they see me on another day. You are always greeted at the door as well. I usually get a survey after I shop there asking how my experience was, and if there was an employee who stood out, good or bad. They have many programs for money back, their M Perk program for one. Another local grocery store recently came up with a similar program with a very similar name, but I don't know if it's as good as Meijers. But it's funny how they named it so similar to Meijers', who has had the program since the beginning. Meijers app has all the features for you to redeem your perks, load coupons onto your account, and see what's for sale. Since they opened, they have been to be the best place to get groceries, both for quality and cost. I go there at least once a week. I check their prices every Friday for the next week, and usually plan my meals around their sales and their products. Meijers is my go to place for most everything I need. read more

I was stoked when I discovered Meijer was coming to Cleveland. As a previous Michigan resident, it was tough leaving meijer behind. Honestly, it is the best of Target and the best of Walmart. For people who may be new to meijer. It is a general store with clothing, groceries, and the kitchen sink. The store is a little like a combination of the best parts of walmart and target. So to start, the produce is very good. It is fresh and during the summer they typically will source from local farms. The prices are fair and affordable. They have great deals on food in their weekly special and you can clip coupons through their app that will automatically apply (without papercuts). Their clothing is good quality and they have a fair amount of plus size clothing. They try to be body positive so their styles will be mixed up. They also do deals of buy one get one for a dollar or 50% off. The homegoods are awesome. I do think their electronic section is the only negative, but that is ok. Another tip is to get the mperks app. It will give you rewards for your purchases as well as being able to clip coupons and it tracks your purchases so you can make easy returns. read more

Our first visit was a success. We stopped by & although it was busy (opening day). The workers were super helpful & friendly. The store was stocked up continuously. Sales were easy to understand & correctly marked on the product area. It was even kept clean & clutter free. The deli has many meats and cheeses to offer. There's a to go area with everything from salads to pizza slices to sushi! The fresh produce area is very large. Even their clothing & house goods show great quality for the price. It's kinda like a target & Walmart mixed! We are visiting again today to grab a few things. They carry some items that the other stores around them don't. Which is great for the area!! I would give them a 0 if I could. Not a fan of their customer service. I brought back a Kitchen Aide mixer on Saturday and let her know it was a Christmas gift. I just wanted an exchange because the motor died and it wasn't even six months. The customer service told me I needed a receipt or charge card. So I went all the way back home (not a short ride either) and came back the next day with the charge card and bank billing receipt. The lady told me a totally different story. I only had 90 days and it was too late. I called them and the lady there said it was only 30 days. Unfortunately Meyers's does what it wants and does not stand by their products. Not sure what everyone on here is crying about. It's by far the best grocery store in the area. Far cleaner than any we have, best selection and a fair price. The shelves can be a bit empty at times but I feel like they do what they can. It's honestly fascinating how some people review a grocery store in a little town in Ohio like its the Ritz Carlton. I wish I didn't have to write this, but I feel I must make other shoppers aware. Every time I have shopped at a Meijers, whether it be my local store or out of state, I encounter pricing problems that evolve into these huge debacles. The pricing tag on the shelf never matches the price that gets rung up at the register. I have to go back to the aisle and retrive the pricing tag, attached to the shelf by the item, to prove it is incorrect. One one occasion, the manager was very hostile to me and adamant the he was right and I was wrong, even with the proof!!!!!!! Then, after that, I have to go get in line in Customer Service and explain the whole thing all over again, pulling out my proof that the price on the shelf did not match what actually got rung up. I encounter this on a regular basis. At first I thought it was just a random fluke, but no, this is their way of business. If this didn't happen to me so many times, I wouldn't bother taking the time to write this, but because it has become the norm, I decided two things; I will not shop there anymore, and I will warn other shoppers they are getting ripped off. read more

We've been to the new Meijer at least a half a dozen times. My last few visits this is what the floors in the produce department looked like. The floors are sticky and slippery at the same time. I asked the gentleman in the next aisle who was stockings if somebody would be able to come out to clean the floor so nobody slips and falls. His statement was "we'll get around to it soon". I love Meijer. No no I LOVE Meijer! If you know me, you have probably heard me talk about Meijer. I would shout it from the mountain tops, if we had mountains. I'm so glad Mentor gained this gem of a store. I have been coming here every week since it opened just this past summer. At times Ive been here 2 or 3 times a week. I have been a devout Walmart/ Giant Eagle shopper for years. Not anymore. Meijer has taken over. This it built in the old Kmart in a plaza on mentor avenue close to the intersection of Reynolds road. It is huuuuge! They have everything you need! One stop shop. Grocery, produce, deli/meat/seafood, cafe with fresh baked pizza slices and other quick items including fresh rolled sushi, bakery, wine/beer/spirits, pharmacy, clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories, baby section, home decor, electronics, pet supplies...did I miss anything? I probably did because this place literally has everything! Even an Addicted coffee shop! The prices and deal you cannot beat. The 10 for 10 and get the 11th free is my favorite. Or the buy 5 of selected items and you get the discounted price listed on its tag. Unreal. Download the app and you save even more! Coupons to clip and the reward system is awesome! I once saved 12$ because of the reward system. Their rotisserie chicken is absolutely amazing. Get it. Bakery is awesome. You can smell the cookies baking when you walk in. They sell Ohio sport team apparel! I could go on and on about what I love but I'll just say everything. The staff are amazing here. So polite. You are greeted the moment you walk in and I've even been greeted throughout the store by some. Shelves are always stocked unless there is another killer deal and people grab it up. Why is there no limit to items in scan and go line. Waited 20 minutes to check out 4 items because most people had full carts in the scan and go lane. People who only need a few items have to wait while others slowly scan a weeks worth of groceries. I stopped ordering from pickup service months ago because I received to many wrong items. Sales associates was very helpful and made my shopping experience for the first time very pleasant with helping me find items. Cashier named Tess greeted every person in line before me and after me but when it came to this African American shopper, Tess said not one word to me and aggressively shoved groceries in bags. I will make sure to tell my Instacart customer how poorly her groceries were bagged due to the unfair treatment I received from Tess. I thought I would be back to shop for myself or even take on extra batches from Instacart but will definitely turn down this store for shopping here again. read more
