Everything is so good here. I recently bought a carrot cake for a birthday at the last minute. I was expecting it to be pricey. It cost less than 14 bucks for a single layer cake. It was so good! Items sell out quickly and you can place pre orders on cakes you want made special. Donuts, cookies, breads, cakes, and assorted pastries are just a few items you will see here. Coffee for sale as well that is self serve.

Everything I have gotten here is melt in your mouth delicious. I have never gotten here early enough to try the donuts because they sell out so fast! But I love the mini-pineapple upside down cakes. Everything is a winner here that I have tried so far.

Two cakes, one of them cassata, plus cookies. All taste SOOO good!

On a busy summer Saturday, Golden Crust Bakery really came through for me with side-by-side graduation and birthday cakes, plus a big box of custom iced cookies. The shop was so easy to work with, and got everything just right. Our guests all raved at how good the cakes were. Let me just say, you folks who only get big-box-retailer stuff are completely missing out. The "regular" cake was extremely good, but the cassata cake with the real whipped cream icing was AMAZING and people couldn't stop talking about it. And those cookies which we perfect to let people grab and walk out with. Next event you have, drive past GE and the others and go to this local bakery instead. The difference is night-vs-day, and you and your guests will know that with your first bite!

Imagine a giant piece of puffed pastry smothered in walnuts and cinnamon, rolled up, and then drizzled with glaze! WOW! A cinnamon lovers dream! In addition to this we ordered a mini apple pie and two mini pineapple upside down cakes. Had we been staying in Mentor longer we'd have tried one of their many loaves of bread. This old school bakery will be a must the next time we travel thorough! Our server was very friendly and humorous which added to the fun our stop!

I came to try a pizza bagel which I learned they recently stopped serving because the health inspector said they needed to be in a cooler, which this place does not have. In the brief time that I was there, several people came in for these also and were disappointed to hear the news. I ended up getting a cinnamon roll, nut roll, and brownie. The cinnamon roll was delish. I gave the other two to friends and they enjoyed them. Service was okay. The woman was slightly impatient as I asked questions. She answered them, but seemed a little annoyed. I just wasn't as familiar with the items because it seemed like there were all variations of the same things maybe with different nuts. Their shelves weren't super full by the time I got there and I am curious to try other items from them. I see that they sell cookies and pastries at a local grocery store chain, Marc's. Also appreciated that they took tap to pay, which is uncommon in such an old school place. Just gotta spend over $5.

I have bought bread from their outlet in Pittsburgh (by mail order) and at a store in Charlotte, NC. The bread was great, but the experience at the Charlotte store was terrible, and because of that experience, I called the corporate headquarters. The woman I spoke to there told me about the store in Mentor, Ohio, how it is a family run business. I contacted this store several times before my trip to Cleveland, even getting directions to get to the Mentor store. I was only disappointed that Molly, the woman with whom I had been in contact was not working today as I wanted to meet her and thank her personally for her help. We were waited on by Molly's aunt. She could not have been nicer, bagging up my loaves of bread, telling us to double bag any of the loaves we plan to freeze. It is disappointing that the company has raised the loyalty point level as I anticipated getting another loaf at 100 loyalty points. No one seemed to know the new level needed. I bought challah, cinnamon crunch and cheddar garlic loaves. I used to buy the challahs when the stores were in Buffalo, so know how wonderful it is. We tasted the cheddar garlic and were seduced by it. The cinnamon crunch just looks wonderful, with a nice crunchy outside. This stop in Mentor was well worth the short detour.

A normal cookie is almost $6 and even though they are pretty big, that feels like a steep price for a cookie. I got the nutella cheesecake, strawberry cake cookie, and the skillet cookie. I love that they add fresh cream to the strawberry cake and skillet cookie. It was soft and fresh and definitely added to the flavor of the cookie. My favorite was definitely the Nutella cheesecake. It was creamy and chocolatey without being too sweet. The chocolate chip skillet cookie was a little hard for my liking. I should have gotten the regular chocolate chip. Now that I've had it, I'll definitely be back, although that does feel dangerous. It's fun that they swap out the menu every week or so. Always something new to try.

It was not professional at all, I was shocked and pink and blue icing for a man? Nope, don't trust their judgement . Shameful for the cost . All in all, approx $180 for a cake that didn't 't go around and 2 dozen cup cakes. The cupcakes were pretty enough to look at , but also sickeningly sweet.
