It was one of the worst business experiences I have had. First, I will say that the staff is very nice, providing excellent sales and help at the unfortunate end. The Tech team is probably the best around from client support to hand-holding. The ease of ordering online was great and when I wanted to add a few items last moment, it was seamless and easy. Why the two stars? It would be one if it weren't for the patience and tolerance the Tech Support team showed in the face of my heated and panicked demeanor. There is no Quality Control. Their stage system of 1 through 7 is (to me) a false representation. My build spent enough time in QC to have a thorough testing of all components and build quality. The vanilla answer the owner gives of 'We take photos and benchmark....' is something I am not buying. The absence of QC in this system was obvious. You can't burn out a power supply in transit, nor bang it hard enough to fail yet other components stay intact. That isn't how it works in reality. So, the part of 'things happen in transit' is just an escape to not answer for the absence of real QC. I had spent a great deal of time configuring the PC, putting a high res photographic presentation for an incoming client. Day three, the power supply buzz manifested itself into a complete power failure; making me completely unable to perform an extremely important task that morning. I called DS and spoke with a very nice gentleman who instructed me to try taking the panel off, getting a small piece of metal or flathead screwdriver and wedging it in between two pins located at the top of my motherboard. I understand and appreciate the attempt at repairing the situation, but I was in shock given I had just paid $7000 to avoid this exact type of situation. I was placed in a terrible situation, causing me to have to inform a small team of professionals that I was unable to follow through on my presentation because my computer died. It looked really bad for me; and I ended up spending 35 hours recreating the presentation and driving three hours to negate the previous poor representation I put forth as a result of Digital Storm's nearly DOA computer sent to me. And it wasn't until after this experience that I began to look at Yelp and the local Better Business Bureau; finding out I am definitely not alone in my experience. If you read through the BBB and here, plus multiple discussion boards you will notice the crux of it is QC related. From a reasonable standpoint, issues happen. Life is what it is, but when there is a premium dollar figure involved; specifically designed to bring you a top notch experience out of the box, then it should be that; not a post Yelp and BBB read-up wisdom based lesson learned. To the credit of the Tech Team Manager, follow-up when I delivered the computer back for refund was prompt and efficient. I dropped it off on Friday and Monday morning, I had an email stating they had replicated the issue and presented the offer of a full refund or repair. I would have liked to have it repaired and moved on in life, but they burned me hard on the QC and cost me a lot of labor, time, work and a few bucks. Thank you to the Tech Team, specifically the two gentlemen I worked with; they can't negate the absence of QC but they certainly elevated my overall opinion of Digital Storm. read more

1 Star - A Nightmare Experience from Start to Finish I ordered a Velox PC from Digital Storm on January 22, 2025, excited to upgrade with one of the new Nvidia cards. Initially, I went with just CPU water cooling, but after a month of silence and delays, I called them--only to be upsold into adding GPU water cooling as well. What they didn't mention was an extra $300 in surprise shipping fees--a shady move, to say the least. Fast forward to May 13, 2025--almost four months later--I finally get the machine. I start setup following their own video guides. When I go to fill the reservoir, I notice the rear radiator connection is visibly bent. I try to proceed anyway, thinking maybe it's fine--only to discover a coolant leak from that exact spot. Even after switching out the quick-connect for a fill-tube connector, the radiator still leaks--and I can clearly see that the weld connecting the threads is malformed and protruding from the radiator itself. This is a critical failure in quality control, especially for a company specializing in custom high-end water-cooled systems. Digital Storm's lack of communication, delayed timelines, poor quality testing, and hidden shipping charges all added up to a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience. This should have been a dream build. Instead, it turned into a months-long headache with a leaking PC on day one. Not acceptable for a premium system at this price point. Avoid. I'd think twice before ordering from Digital Storm. I ordered a computer last month and am still in stage 2. Nothing out of the ordinary for a build. I also think they are in violation of FTC credit card misuse policy. "If a merchant cannot ship within the advertised time or the 30-day timeframe, they must promptly notify you (by phone, email, or mail). They must also offer you the option to accept a new shipping date or cancel the order for a full refund. " I'd like a refund. read more

I'll be honest. Not gonna waste much time on this review or this company. This is the second PC I've had from them that has absolutely hard crashed just past the warranty. Their customer support is nonexistent and useless. They demand you to ship it back and pay basically the price of a new PC for 'parts'. They overclock it to what they say is 'safe' and then it leads to either your GPU, CPU, HDD, or motherboard absolutely dying. Avoid them at all costs, and buy off something like Newegg for substantially cheaper. Don't be swayed by the fake reviews. Not like I was. The only redeeming quality is that they are at least up front about ripping you off with all the blatant 'add ons' and 'services' you can buy and are suggested to buy. They built a very overpriced PC for me. I went forward with it because the 5000 series nvidia GPUs were fresh on the market, so I wanted a custom build with everything stress tested and warranteed. Within 6 weeks my RTX 5090 had melted. Long story short, this is the point where digital storm completely scammed me. They had me send back the dead GPU. When they got it, they claim that it was damaged in shipping. The actual damage is very suspicious and doesn't seem like something that would happen in shipping, and even one of their own employees shared that opinion until a manager stepped in and I was not allowed to contact anyone else from then on. Basically from there they derailed everything into a straw man argument about shipping policy, left me stranded for months with a dead computer, and tried to extort me into paying full price including their profit margin to replace the GPU and get my computer back to what I had originally paid for. They are so greedy and unwilling to help I'm now at the point my only recourse with them would be through the legal system. I was impressed at Digital Storms superbly marketed website. Prices seemed reasonable. Warranty sounded fantastic. I figured screw it I need a new PC for work so im going to order. Bonus to get sky miles on my card. Order was placed 12/31. I had some nice follow up on the build with one of their techs that same day. I thought everything was good to go. On Jan 2nd I was informed via a generic email there was a problem with the order. The email did not have an email address to respond to, but there was a link. I replied to previous person that emailed me, I went to the link provided in that generic email, and I even called to leave a voicemail about the issue. I recall being told it was a billing issue. I called my CC company (BOA to be specific) to verify that everything was good to go. They stated that on their side everything is good and the charge can move forward. I messaged DS about this and I was told that may be the case for their side but as a matter of fraud prevention on their side they cant process the order. I was told I needed to get the bank on the phone with them on a 3 way call to provide order information. I went ahead and did this. There was no direction from DS on who initiates this call. i.e. do they use a verified known bank number or do I do this myself and add them. I ended up adding the bank to the call. The bank provided both of my addresses which I already previously provided to DS. I was told everything was good to go yet again and this was on 1/9. I was very happy. The next day I received a call from DS . I was excited to see the number and I assumed it was either a question about the build or something else positive. Contrary to my assumption however I was told the 3 way call was not good enough. I immediately lost my shit. Why did you tell me it was good yesterday on the call? Why didn't you tell me about any problems immediately during or after the call? How hard is it to make a transaction here? I was not happy but also I was not rude. Can you blame me for being upset? I get ready to send your company about 7k for a new computer that I didn't necessarily want to spend the money on, but convinced myself not once but twice to do so? And then you tell me for the 2nd time after being approved its no longer approved? No, this homey don't play that game! I asked if there was a way forward and I was told a "wire transfer". LOL. Nope im out. I have excellent credit near 800s. I have a credit card that I use responsibly that has a rewards program. I wanted to give them $7k for a top of the line state of the art PC. After this hassle I said I was out, im done. Admittedly at the time I was in a bit of frustrated state. I simply could not believe how hard this was to place an order. All they needed to do on their side was change a billing and shipping address but they wanted me to jump through all these hoops which I did until I drew a line at performing a wire transfer. I figured ok, one last chance to see if I can get any help here. I reached out to my earlier contact one last time via email. I apologized for getting frustrated and pleaded for help. I assume nothing could be done so I never heard back. I went from being super excited about a new top of the line PC to being super disappointed by lack of effective customer service to in fact help me the customer get what I ordered and giving them a significant amount of money. This should not have been so hard to make a purchase. I feel I gave them multiple opportunities to contact me and resolve the situation, but they were not proactive at all. I had to reach out and initiate the communications. Unfortunately it went nowhere. Because of all of this I cannot recommend this company. I cant believe I didn't look them up on Yelp before I attempted to make the purchase. For context and to frame the below I provide this review as: * a former CETsr(Certified Electronics Technician-Senior Level)(10 years) * a former IPC Trainer for 600,610,620 and J-STD (bare PCB, Populated PCB, Cable&Wire Harness, and Solder) (16 years) * Worked in Dod Electronics/Computer Engineering, Manufacturing, Networking and Integration (16 Years) * Have built close to 1000 Computers (Servers, PC's, Workstations, SFF) in my career. (with my own hands) I chose DS for their advertised relationship with Nvidia. Earlier this year I hunted for a vendor that could acquire RTX GPUs in a more timely manner than the general public. I wanted a quality product that could act as a foundational layer of my home AI dev lab. DS appeared to check all the boxes. I also had some familiarity with DS as I had purchased a similar machine via my role at one of the largest Defense Contractors and had nothing but a stellar experience (Purchase, communication, delivery, set-up and use). Little did I know that my previous experience would be an exception and not the rule. I configured My PC and locked in my configurations. It would be a Large purchase ($15K+), but I had felt it would be more than worth it. However, every step of the way was a nightmare: 1. Had to purchase Via Money Order, circumventing consumer protections when using credit card. There was no guidance regarding this on their website and was informed via email. 2. Very poor information delivery, called repeatedly and got nothing but excuses, non-comital phrases and over used platitudes. 3. 90+ days between order and delivery 4. Upon delivery the pc wouldn't boot. 5. Called customer service, was told someone would call me back in under 48 hours. After the extend timeline and poor previous experience with Customer Service I decided to handle the problems my self. I set the PC up and opened it up to evaluate hardware layout and integration methods in my home lab. Upon close inspection I found the following: 1. Leaking coolant through out the lower shelf on the MoBo side of the case. * RC: Every single coolant hose connection point was loose * CA: A. Removal of all hoses from MoBo side of the case B. Evaluation of all hose seals, thread and connection points C. Pat dry of interior space of MoBO side of the case D. Re-Connection of all hose, ensuring proper torque was applied to insure no further leakage * RESOLVED 2. Horrible cable routing placing undue strain on cross-case harnesses. The deeper I investigated the worse it got *RC: A. Inadequate strain-relief on all cable assemblies. B. No anti-chafe grommets or harness protection mechanisms applied at cross case 'passthrough' points C. Connectors to MoBo poorly connected, several causing bent pins (MoBo side) D. Zip-ties, if and when used, were only to 'bundle' excess harness length E. Both GPUs were very difficult to disconnect due to the horrible routing and the stress on the connectors *CA: A. Disconnected all cables from the MoBo B. Pulled all cables and harnesses through central wall cable passthrough point C. Measured lengths of cable needed from cable passthrough point to connections on MoBo D. Using mini Zip-ties, intended for harness building, built up proper power distribution harness with multiple break-outs and appropriate lengths for correct strain-relief *RESOLVED All in the above took me approximately 6 hours of my own time. For a machine, that cost as much as a used vehicle, from a company that advertises a rigorous Quality Control Process I was highly disappointed. It's surprising that, at the purchase price, I'd still have to invest approximately $500 more in my own labor to have the machine fully functional. The average civilian consumer does not have my background or experience. It is infuriating to think that DS is delivering product to its customers, and their consumers have to deal with issues like I had found, especially when we pay for a premium product at a premium price-point. Needless to say, I am highly disappointed with all aspects of my recent business with DS. I will no longer consider DS when it comes to fulfilling any business needs I may have, both for my personal business or my role in the Defense Contracting industry. I see some mixed reviews online, but I bought an Aventum X (pretty much the standard model that's around 4 grand) in March of 2024 and it has been very solid. Here's my honest feedback Pros -- Very Stable Machine - No crashes, no hardware issues out of box. -- Very Responsive Customer Service - I had some special considerations in my order and they even called me and talked through it. Very good about getting back to me. -- Good Warranty and Upgrade Options -- Insanely Quiet Cons -- Ship Time (When they say 20 business days, they'll take every bit of that and a bit more). Be prepared to wait around a month. -- Case Design. The Aventum X's proprietary case design could use a few improvements. These include a hinged door to access one side of the PC, instead of a very heavy and awkward tempered glass pane you have to line up just so (2-person job basically) to re-adhere. Also, a port on the top of the tower to pour in liquid cooling so you're not unscrewing a tank in the middle of your case next to the video card, etc. would be genius. Also, due to elevation changes, etc. during shipping it can be VERY challenging getting the cap off the reservoir. You will almost definitely need the strap wrench provided. The Hot Swap bay drawers are a bit wonky - they're fine, but you have to line up the "sleeves" for the hard drives, and it could be easier (like a snap in version I've seen on other hot swaps). Finally, some wheels for this bad boy or a rolling stand offered as an optional add-on would be GREAT. We ended up building a rolling stand. -- Use of all 8 Hot Swap SATA bays - Due to new motherboards phasing out SATA, most boards only offer 4 Sata Connections. So if you want to use the other 4 Bays and run more than 4 SATA drives, you'll have to add a PCI to SATA card. Not the end of the world, but its an additional purchase and if you are running a RAID it can cause some additional considerations. Also, the SATA cables (like in many large cases) don't reach the PCI card slot to get to the adapter - without SATA extenders. Again not a hugely expensive thing, but something else to keep in mind. It would be nice if they used longer SATA cables that have enough length in the larger cases like the Aventum. For over 4,000 bucks - these are considerations that would be appreciated. So in the end, if you're on the fence - don't be. Its a good machine, good warranty, great support, and an absolute beast. Just be prepared for the sheer size of it. read more

I ordered a laptop from DS in Oct 2021, and within a few months, the screen was separating from the lid housing. On April 14, 2022, I sent it in to be repaired. I received it back on May 8, 2022, supposedly repaired. The screen started separating from the lid housing within a couple of weeks. I contacted them again and sent it back for repairs again on July 25, 2022. Again they kept it for close to a month for repairs and returned it to me on Aug 11, 2022. Within a week the screen was separating from the lid housing again. I contacted them on Aug 21, 2022, to let them know I was not happy about this terrible customer service and that my laptop was still broken and had never been fixed. They replied, "We have received your unsatisfactory feedback, a Digital Storm supervisor will review your feedback and be in touch with you shortly to find a resolution that will hopefully change your experience..." I haven't heard from them since... they have the worst quality product and even worse customer service. Do not buy anything from these people, ever! I will not recommend this company to anyone, ever. Got my PC and it worked fine for a time (9 mos). Had some games I was playing and they started crashing randomly. Kept happening so I contacted DS thinking it may be an overheating issue since i'd never had an issue with these games before. They were nice, but gave me the run around, wanting to change my settings, etc. but nothing they tried worked (and I connected with them on many occasions to work on this issue). Finally got tired of the run around and just left it. I'm going to turn this DS PC into a dumb file server. Thats about what it is worth. I will never purchase another Digital Storm PC again. I ordered a fairly straightforward workstation unit for business on January 31 and it is still in what they call stage four (build). Having trouble getting a response on a back-ordered graphics card. I read a lot of positive reviews on their build quality, some people saying their rigs were well worth the wait. However, if you are looking to have your custom build for work, be prepared to not have it for much longer than the stated delivery time. read more

Absolutely do not buy from them. Firstly, they sat for two months, not telling me that one of their parts was out of life. So I did that and paid extra for it because I needed to upgrade the part. Ok, so cool, a month or two to get back on track. The package then proceeds to get it's "label" damaged, and is two hours away from me... only to be stuck there for a week before being sent BACK to these guys. They offered me free warranty at first, which was annoying but fine... until they said they lost the package entirely, offered to rebuild it but replace some parts (which is NOT what I paid for) or a refund. I'm just going to take the refund and build my own PC, I took 5 months to save up for this and another 5 just for them to string me along. If I don't get a full refund for whatever reason, idk what I'll do, but I feel like after all this trouble I should be compensated some more than just that. Spent approximately $5,000 on a custom PC. What was supposed to take 10-15 business days took approximately two months. Additionally, once received due to poor packaging, the NH-D15 fans were severely tilted to the point they were going to break off, and several USB's did not work due to damaged wiring. I was told by the service tech the NH-D15's get tilted frequently during shipping. So pack them better so it doesn't happen?! You should be shipping out computers this expensive in wooden crates and placing cut Styrofoam under the fans so they do not tilt. Additionally, most of their customer service staff do not respond to emails. They did promptly answer the phone. Alex did not respond to any emails I replied to. Why bother? I ended up driving 3-hours round trip both to drop off and pick up my PC to ensure that poor packaging/shipping wouldn't damage the PC again. Alex (who smelled like marijuana and appeared checked out of life) refused my request in person to compensate me for milage. The computer parts are way overpriced but I was willing to pay a lot extra to ensure there were no problems. Instead, Digital Storm gave me problems. I am going to use Falcon-NW (highest rated PC builder I could find with fantastically rated customer service) or more local company in the future. DO NOT BUY. Their product looks quality but truly isn't, after a few months of use the nvme got corrupted because it was faulty to begin with. I filed a warranty and they sent me a new one, WITH THE SAME ISSUE. They didn't send me a third one until I wrote a complaint online and that one finally worked. Then the battery begins to have an issue and starts to swell. I inquired and bought the replacement they recommended. The battery drained faster than it would charge and long story short the replacement battery CAUGHT ON FIRE, so I had to dunk the laptop in water laptop to put it out, destroying the entire thing. Bottom Line: Bad product with even worse customer service/ tech support. Don't ignore the red flags and don't waste your money with this company. ****Update**** They said since I'm passed warranty there is nothing they can do, so they offer me a discount on my next purchase. That's understandable, but this has really been my worst experience with tech support and customer service. Tech support replaces your faulty parts with more faulty parts then make it solely your problem. Customer service doesn't care because they get so many complaints that they're angry and frustrated when you call to complain. About one year ago I got the Lumos from Digital Storm, and it was working great until one day it decided to randomly kick up the fans to 100% and make the screen go black forcing me to restart the entire machine. Eventually I thought I had fixed this problem but later on this issue reoccurred and so I contacted Digital Storm. After months of back and forth with their customer service, I finally got through to them that I am not comfortable physically testing my machine as this is the first computer I've ever owned and all the tests that they had made me run before came back 100% fine so then they gave me the option to send it in. I just got my machine back today. Any emails that they sent me about the process did not cover what issues were found and fixed. So when I turned on my PC today after a few hours of play, the same issue happened again. I am never buying from Digital Storm ever again. This has been the worst headache of my life and the most expensive mistake I have ever made. I went through digital storm to build a very high end gaming pc, custom water loop cooling the gpu and cpu, roughly 9k spent. Issues start immediately, the window of delivery comes and goes, pc isn't ready. I call in because i actually built a new custom home in the timeframe DS pieces together my pc, naturally i want to change the delivery address, despite bringing this to them multiple times they don't deliver before i move, im told if i want to change delivery address i will need to wire them the full amount, at that point they would refund the card i originally paid with. I worked it out with the new renters at my old home to allow me to take delivery at their home, shouldn't be a big deal because computers that expensive have to go through a freight company and delivery is coordinated accordingly. No delivery contact, i call to get an update and am informed it has been marked as delivered, it was left strapped to a pallet in their front yard. No sig, no noti, just a pallet with a nine thousand dollar computer awkwardly sitting on someone else's front yard. So then i get home, set everything up - it doesn't have an OS loaded. You would think some sort of testing would go into the machine before shipping, but with no OS i kind of doubt that, the custom loop gets worse temps than an AIO, it looks absolutely horrible, and it leaks. I go to a local shop to fix the leak, he does what he can, but the tubing installed by DS is shaved so far down it can't close on 2 separate joints. I decided to go through with a return to get it working as intended, im told since it had never worked, and (by a manager) that because he's embarrassed to work at the place where they put this loop together and actually shipped it out, that they would make things right and get the pc turned around within 5 business days. Day 5 i call to get an update, the pc hasn't been touched. I let whoever i speak to know that a date was promised, and I'm told digital storm doesn't work with time frames or dead lines. (not a joke) Later that evening i receive a call from a 'manager' who tells me that if he gets around to it, he'll have it checked out the following week, and that after this 'check out' he personally will decide if i can get the computer(which has never worked) fixed under warranty. I enquire about a return since we're back to ignoring time and space as they only do at digital storm, and i have no idea when I'll see the computer again. He tells me the same process would be required for him to look at the computer and solely decide if a return is warranted, and if it was I'd be charged $695 to do so. So i tell him this is fraudulent, the computer has been f*cked up since day one, and if he keeps talking to me as if he's some sort of omnipotent god and tells me if i were to charge back it would be a mistake on my behalf and DS would come after me legally. I'm pretty frustrated at this point, because digital storm takes pictures of every computer before it leaves their warehouse, they had pictures of my broken computer in my file and confirmed it was messed up before it ever left CA. I sent pictures of its current state before leaving my house so they could confirm it had not been altered, and in the midst of arguing this with moron he tells me that because i used profanity in my description of the computer that he would hang up on me if i used it again - this is because he must uphold the highest levels of professionalism, so he doesn't engage in conversation involving profanity. At that point, as the guy who just spent 1/3rd of this elite professionals yearly salary on a hobby i realized we were not the same, and he thought he held some power in the situation. I confirmed with him which credit card i used and initiated a chargeback. I guess amex appreciates their centurion clientele a little more than the idiots at digital storm because i got the full refund, on the basis of fraud and they never responded to defend their case. This company operates within the luxury price point, and offers low quality pc's, with terrible support. I'd be very cautious to anyone contemplating using their service, had i paid with a different card and not had the support of American Express to help, I'd probably be out nine grand right now. I also upgraded the ram in the pc because DS puts the absolute lowest quality ram in their machines, I'd liken it to a bubblegum baseball card with some metal glued to it, and left it in when it was sent to be fixed - they stole that, roughly a $400 kit. I won't get into my experience with their web chat customer service, but know before purchase that the same type of complete ignorance related to company policy and arrogant attitudes extend down from middle management all the way to the guy answering messages on the computer. 133 reviews suppressed by yelp, same experience. read more

Bought a PC from Digital Storm and went all out. When it arrived, the PC worked very well and performed as expected. After 5 months, the liquid cooling pump failed and I had to file a claim with their service department. I let them know that I was on a night's schedule so I would only be available for phone calls during certain hours but otherwise could communicate via email. They called me twice at noon (when I was asleep, specifically outside the times I informed them of) and then proceeded to stop any contact. I called them to try to get help and they said only the tech assigned to my claim could work on it. I emailed the management team whose email was on the ticket I submitted and got zero response. Id love to get the computer running again and am debating going ahead and fixing it myself despite voiding the warranty. read more

Complete and utter disaster. We ordered a PC beginning of March, waited 3+ months patiently for the PC to come in. When it finally came in, it had non stop blue screens happening out of the box. We then sent it back to have them attempt to fix it, turns out the brand new motherboard needed to be replaced. Once they did that (took weeks) it was then sent back to us. Once again once received, we started having blue screens all over again. At this point, I was done. I asked for a refund, which was denied, and we were offered a option to have a "restocking fee" and the rest would then be refunded. That was originally at $750+ restocking fee. Read that again.. a fee, for a PC, that doesn't even function properly. This company runs off pure greed and money, they could care less and will give you the runaround over and over. Just read some of the nightmare stories out there. We ended up doing a charge back on our card from SEVEN MONTHS prior to get all our money back on this flawed product. The cardholder sided with us after giving them all the email exchanges and problems we had. Again, this is a 3-4k build and at the end of the day, and it didn't work right at all. They DO NOT stand behind their product what so ever. I highly advise you to go with another company or build your own rig. This was seriously the worst experience of a company I've ever dealt with and I never even do reviews, but I had to share this one. I bought a PC from digital storm a couple years ago and it's been nothing but a problem since it has arrived at my house and it wasn't just any PC it's their flagship the Aventum X. It started out with a 12900k in it and it quit working so they put a 13900k in it and it quit working so then they recently put a 14900k in it which I had to pay the difference every time for the new CPU's. I also had to have the GPU replaced a 4090, and the power supply. I obviously requested a refund but they said since the computer is 2 years old they can't do anything even though it's still under warranty. They then decided they would cover shipping to have the whole PC sent back to them for repairs and I was promised a new CPU and new motherboard but after arriving they said they wasn't going to replace the motherboard because they couldn't find anything wrong with it but they did replace the CPU because they said it wasn't working....shocker..... they then tested it and stuff and said it's running fine now and had it shipped back to me, well it arrived back to me Dec.23 2024 and after only having it a few hours it caught on fire, now I'm waiting to hear back from management read more

Digital Storm - Final PC after my modifications - Computers Near Me - Fremont, California

Well, I was looking forward to finally getting a Digital Storm PC for my company. I have already written so many emails explaining the issue I had with what they delivered. I originally spent $8,400 for an awesome water-cooled PC. 6 days later then informed that they could not perform water-cooled on the new graphics cards due to the size. Ok, I can understand that, so why give the option on your website? After a few phone calls they gave me a standard cooling system and it had a total cost of $7,100. When finally receiving the PC there were missing parts, non-working RGB systems, and plug that came loose due to shipping they said. Originally when I first called they put me in touch with a service tech that wanted me to start taking parts off and unplugging computer components. Which I didn't feel comfortable taking parts off my brand-new $7,100 workstation. Again, I know nothing about building PC's. After calling and emailing several times, I was finally put in contact with Mr. John Sweger who apparently was a Sr. Customer Service Manager. They let me buy parts that did not work with the other parts I ordered. It just so happens that I know nothing about building PCs hence reaching out to the so-called professionals. He even explained to me that the tech who built my computer was confused but instead of reaching out to me to explain they went ahead and built it anyway. After some back and forth, it turns out the Cool Master fans will not work with the Corsair Commander and I would not be able to manage the RGB in the ICUE software. I asked why you sold me a part that had no use and told me on the website that I would be able to control the RGB through ICUE. After all the troubleshooting I finally was like fine, I will send it back so that they can put the correct components so it will work the way it was supposed too. Told him I would even pay for the parts but was not going to pay again for them to build it correctly. So in his email response, he states that Digital Storm accepts no responsibility and that it is my fault. At that point, I decided I just wanted a refund. I originally spent $8,400!!! The price dropped to $7,100 after everything, but honestly, this is a huge purchase and they were not willing to fix their mistake. After I responded with an email saying I will just return and get a refund, his response blew me away. They were going to keep $1,600 of my money for re-stocking fees!! Guys take it from me, stay away from DS. After all this, I did my research into DS and they have a BBB rating of "F". The lowest rating you can get. Other customers, they screwed just like me. BEWARE, Just when you thought a company couldn't get any worse than DELL, these guys pulled it off. I tried to go with the little guy and support a local business but this was the worst service I have ever seen. It appeared to be a great company but from the beginning, they did not have parts then they up-charged me for a few things. Then it was over a month late to arrive. After all of this it just continually crashed. They were not able to fix the problem and 5 months later I got a partial refund. I order a custom built computer ($4000+) from Digital Storm as am switching from Mac. I am a tech savvy guy but unfamiliar with PC configuration and figured it would be best to get it done right by professionals, and the performance testing provided would be great reassurance on a work computer. I received a computer a week after it was supposed to be delivered, (took 7 weeks, and delivery was estimate (4-6 weeks) with a bent motherboard, screws forced into places they should not have been put to the point I needed pliers to removed them, a broken GPU port and a number of lose part floating around inside. I was told I would have to send it back to be fixed (additional 2-3 weeks) or I would have to pay shipping to return the computer. Being a work computer I couldn't afford another 3 weeks without it. These were the only options presented. I researched other options for a couple days, then called customer support who said "why didn't we just send you the parts and we can walk you through repairing it yourself"... this was not an option the first time I talked to to customer support. After receiving new parts, another 5 days later, I started rebuilding with the help of technical support. The technical support team was very patient and knowledgable, and the reason I give them at least a star. In the end, I ended up building the computer from scratch. After errors on there end in shipping, build quality, and problem solving this fiasco I was offered just an extra 1 month of warranty. No refund on the cost of labor that was awfully done, no refund on the quality testing I ended up not getting, and no refund for the damaged threads from jamming screenings into random places in the case. Highly recommend looking elsewhere. Side note: They do not have any customer service that operates on EST, east coast US time zones, which is a huge pain when you run into over night issues and have to wait until noon the next day, in middle of your work day to get you machine up and running again. read more

Bought a ready to ship prebuilt computer for my autistic sons birthday and he couldn't use WiFi as it's an add on but since it's a ready to ship pre build we assumed it like any other pc build from any other company I've ever bought a computer from has included a cheap WiFi card at least. As you can imagine a child is Aspergers was triggered and upset and as his dad who got to deal with this on his birthday is not a happy customer. In fact when I called for assistance in why we couldn't find the WiFi network he told us we had to add it and we should go to Walmart if we want WiFi on pc. I recently bought a $4000+ Computer from digital storm. Overall, the delivery speed is much faster than I expected. I got it in around 2 weeks. I'm very happy on it. Overall, the computer performance is meeting what I expected. Except one thing, which is main reason I have to give 3 stars: The digital storm box fan are really really really poor quality and bad design: 1. I have unplugged all the fans one by one, and I'm very sure the the major noise is caused by the digital storm fans. Comparing to Nvidia video card fans, I have to complain this is way too disappointed to me as a $4000 product. 2. The box layout design sucks. It has to put one motherboard fan very close to glass which is causing air blowing block noise. 3. This computer box is still using old style that you have to use screws, but please look at all new modern design (Dell, Apple), all design has been switched to latch based My suggestion to digital storm is please improve your box quality. Learn design from big company like dell, apple, etc. Your own company's computer box is really out of date and cheap. read more

I ordered a gaming PC for my son 12/7/23 and it is now 1/15/24 and I still have NOTHING. All I get is excuses and they say they were "backlogged from the holidays" as if they have never experienced Christmas shopping before. 10-15 business days is still being advertised on their website yet I am on business day 27!!! Last week they were trying to tell me it would be 10 more business days and after countless emails they said they would give me "VIP service" and push it through quicker with express shipping but I still have nothing even though it supposedly shipped 1/10. Product is worth it and so is the wait, the only reason im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because they took two months to deliver their product. The price is very expensive, next time im building my own, but I dont regret the purchase one bit. Thank you. I hate to have to write this but i'm truly disappointed in my purchase with Digital Storm. I purchased a custom Velox in August of 2020 for $4k out the door. Although I didn't have any issues with the PC up until this point, I figure $4,000 would've bought be more than 3 years of life in a custom gaming PC. without any issues. To add on, I barely even put this computer to work so the fact that it crapped out leaves me speechless. I turned the computer on and was watching something on Amazon Prime, stepped away shortly, and when I came back my computer was powered off. I tried to power it back on but no luck. Next step was to disconnect the power supply and reconnect and try to boot it up as thats the standard trouble shooting step for any electronic device. Plugged everything back in, switched on the power switches on the back of the PC, and pressed the power button on top of the tower. Next thing I know, I hear a loud pop and see sparks inside the tower accompanied with the smell electrical smoke. Unfortunately the labor is just out of warranty. I should be receiving a call tomorrow regarding my support ticket and I'll know if any of the parts are still under warranty but just the fact that the computer is only 3 years old and i'm running into a major issue like this is very disappointing. I've had my MacBook Pro since 2016 and haven't had any issues. This will probably be my last PC. If repairs run anything more than $1k Ill be looking to part out whatever is salvageable. Just not worth it when I can buy a brand new M1 Mac for $2k and have the reliability of Apple. I will say I've never had an issue the few times I've called for customer service. Sometimes it takes them 24hrs to get back but beyond a few phone calls, I haven't had to deal with them beyond that. Money was not well spent. read more
