I sent an inquiry describing the water damage issue with my Note 8 and asking for a quote using yelp messaging. Rather than providing a quote, I was told to go to the shop for a "free diagnostic". When I go to the shop, I explained the situation again. The rep picked up my phone and did nothing but look at it then I was told first I would need a $160 diagnostic with no guarantee of repair then once the problem was diagnosed and once my phone was open and in their possession there would be additional costs for labor and parts. Essentially, I would be held captive to pricing and labor or just forfeit $160 for a useless "free diagnostic." My water bottle opened up in my bag and drenched my phone... It seemed fine but then I noticed it wasn't charging and then couldn't power. I came in for their free basic diagnostics, and they diagnosed and explained to me why it wasn't powering and possible repair scenarios and options, they also warned me that because of water damage there could be other components damaged. He told me that he didn't want me to believe only a battery replacement was needed only to find out the screen and port doesn't work too or worse just replace a part and a week later the water damage corrodes another part... He recommended I have my phone disassembled-which includes the water damage cleaning treatment and they can test each part of my phone. After they disassembled and cleaned my phone. I was very happy to find out that I didn't need to replace any parts, and my phone was working normally again. I have an iPhone 6 Plus and although I love it, I hated how quickly my battery drained. Majority of the day, my phone was attached to a charging cable. It never occurred to me that the battery in my iPhone could be replaced. Brought my device to Sam at Digital Solutions. He analyzed my iPhone with a computer and confirmed my battery needed to be replaced. I left it with him for a few hours and when I picked it up -- WOW! First thing I noticed with the new battery: It's like having a new iPhone. My iPhone definitely doesn't need to be charged all the time. I use my iPhone to run a portion of my business, so having it go from unreliable to super reliable is fabulous. I love that I didn't have to spend $800 or more on a new iPhone. I dropped my phone for probably the millionth time this morning and it finally cracked enough to the point where I really felt like I needed to change it (not to mention there was a screw keeping the screen slightly open from the rest of the phone). Came in after a fatal iPhone meets water mishap. The phone wasn't turning on after a week in rice. Took it to a couple other places including apple where they said there was nothing they could do. All I wanted were my photos since I like many don't use the cloud. I brought it in to Digital Solutions and left it with them overnight. Big Mahalo to Hip at Digital Solutions! I had an old Dell laptop back from 2006 that was basically useless and sitting in storage. It has stopped working for the most part, and when it did boot up, it would freeze constantly. I thought about trashing it, but I couldn't bring myself to do it for some reason since initially paid around $1,200 for it. A few weeks ago I brought it into Digital Solutions for the owner Hip to take a look at and provide a diagnostics. Hip was confident he could get it working like new again, so I left it with him. A week later I got an email saying my laptop was done! He fired it up for me and I was stunned. Everything worked like brand new AND he even cleaned up my entire laptop. Just wanted to say that if you ever break your cell phone screen like I did last night, go to Digital Solutions! I yelped them for an estimate and they (Hip) responded timely and very detailed about their quote as well as giving me additional information like their 1 year warranty and that the fix would be an hour or less + give me parking information and their address and hours of operation. Their (Micah) great customer service also was extended even when I finally went down to get it fixed (yes, I had to wait until I finished work). If you need anything computer, phone, or electronics wise -- go here! This place literally saved my life and my last semester of college. I had spilled lemonade all over my 2013 Macbook Air and immediately (or as soon as they would make a "Genius Bar Reservation" for me) took it to the Apple store. The Apple Genius said that my logic board and hard drive were completely fried and my data was unrecoverable. They said that in order to repair the logic board they had to wipe all my data and it would cost $780! And of course they suggested I buy an entirely new computer for $900. So I took my computer down to Digital Solutions and they assured me of their success rate in similar situations. To run some diagnostics, they completed a cleaning on the computer for $180. After they found that my data was intact and the logic board damaged so the battery couldn't charge, they suggested me the cheapest option: instead of repairing my 2013 version, they offered me to transfer all my data to a 2015 version they had previously repaired for $470 more. Everything was a success and I only spent a total of $650 to keep my data and get an upgrade! Hip was the most helpful person I have ever met and was very open to answering all my questions and giving me great advice about how to act the next time. Brought my son's laptop after "virus cleaning" software made computer not boot. After using the restore thumb drive, it booted but several drivers were gone. Sho walked me through the options on the fix and took care of the problem. I was also able to upgrade the 3 year old computer. Laptop is now much faster and my son is a happy camper! I have been to this place in June and July to fix my screen . And I was wondering why even with my phone case on and being that my phone didn't even take a hard fall why was my screen cracking so easily. Well this time my screen cracked so I went to another place in Maui , where the guy who fixed my screen did the repair right in front of me. When he had opened up my screen he asked where did I have it done previously, I told him I did it in Oahu cause I genuinely thought it was a good place. Come to find out when he opened my screen he said my phone had about 20 missing screws so that why my screen would easily crack even if it didn't fall hard with my case on. He then showed me that the screen was only held in place by two small screws!! I was really so furious being that I trusted this place & yet they can't even do their job right. The funny thing is you would think they would do a good job being that it takes them over a hour to fix your damn phone. This guys had my phone fixed CORRECTLY with in 25 mins.... I'm never going back to this place and I would never recommend anyone to go here !!!! read more
