They wrote me a payment schedule without a work schedule where they charged the majority of the labor payment upfront in contrast to the fine print on their own quote sheet that it is illegal to charge more than 15% labor upfront. They also wanted the complete materials cost upfront. They are not very skilled in scamming, I saw this quickly! See if they have a showroom.

While walking to quote my project he would provide options, cost saving ideas, and try to understand the bigger picture to help provide the best end result. During construction there are always things that happen but when issues arose Franklin was very communicative and even went above and beyond to take care of some issues without asking for more! Cost wise Franklin had the slightly higher quote but I would pay more to have a contractor you can trust. I would recommend Franklin for any job big or small!

We chose Affinity Paint based off of these reviews on Yelp. Initially we were impressed with the…read morecompany in that they surveyed our home and offered a professional invoice in a couple of days. The price was fair and the fabulous reviews on yelp persuaded us to invest our money in this company. Once we agreed to have our house painted, the secretary at Affinity gave us a start date. On the day of our start date, my husband and I woke up early in anticipation of the workers' arrival. Well, by noon no one had yet arrived. My husband then called the office to inquire, and the secretary replied with "I'm sorry, but we aren't starting until tomorrow. I'm sorry the painter didn't call you." Strike one. The next day the painters made their way to start prepping our home. They worked at a reasonable pace and spent most of their time (a few days) in the back of our house where we had the majority of prior paint damage (the sun beats down hard on this side of the house). Initially I was impressed with the amount of time they spent prepping the back, but when it came to the rest of the house, they did a pretty flimsy job at prep work. At one point we noticed that there was some termite damage to some of the trim work. I asked the worker if he could replace it and he said he would caulk it. I told him that I'd rather replace it (and it he couldn't do it, I would find someone who would.) he proceeded to caulk over it regardless. Strike two. As I mentioned, the prep work in the front of the house was almost non-existent. Our prior paint job had started to warp and peel, and I assumed that the painters would at least sand these areas to get it as level as possible. Nope. No such luck. They primered right over the patchy areas, and then painted directly over the chipped paint. When I approached one of the painters, he seemed irritated by my request to do it right. My husband and I snapped photos and video taped these shoddy areas. We showed them to the foreman who shook his head in disbelief. The next day the painter resanded the shoddy areas (and he must have used some high grit sand paper because he left the area very rough from sanding). He then repainted the areas (which was appreciated), but now I have a very rough looking front entryway. Strike three. On the last day of the job, my husband and I walked around the house to see how the paint looked. Again we were disappointed in the lack of prep work. The chipped, peeling areas are still visible under the new paint. There are areas that weren't sanded well enough and now that it's rainy season, I'm worried that the paint won't hold up. I'm also worried about water getting trapped behind the paint (and I'm hope we don't get mold and rot). Strike four. After the painters finished, my husband and I had to sweep up their mess (paint chips on the ground, water bottles on the lawn). We also noticed that two of our light fixtures were broken from the weight of the canvasses they used as drop cloths. We promptly notified the company, and I should add that they graciously reimbursed us for the lights. Overall, we weren't terribly pleased with the service we received. If I were to choose again, I wouldn't choose this company again,
