For a project of this size (34+ windows), I believe it's reasonable for homeowners to ask detailed questions, compare vendors, and carefully evaluate products, pricing, and installation approaches before making a decision. Rather than helping us understand the differences between available options, the conversation felt increasingly tense and dismissive, particularly when discussing our use of AI generated visuals to help refine the design direction we are trying to achieve. After scheduling a consultation, Gina later that same day decided not to take on the project, which is certainly her prerogative, and I appreciate that she communicated that before any work began. That said, the experience left me with the impression that questions, comparison shopping, and our personal decision making process were viewed negatively rather than as a normal part of a significant home investment. Future customers should be aware that if they are seeking multiple bids, conducting extensive research, or using modern tools to help evaluate design options, their experience may differ from what they expect from other vendors.

We were able to get double rollers on the windows that we wanted black out potential and privacy shades on the windows that didn't. While we were waiting for our blinds to be delivered, Brian came and put paper shades up so we could function in our new home. Our installation was a little bumpy, but I appreciated that the problem was treated as an all hands on deck situation, and we even had one of the owners here to insure that the rest of the installation went smoothly. We ordered top-down/bottom-up cellular shades for my home office and dining room and regular shades for a small window above our kitchen sink. Kaylee was the consultant we worked with. She was personable, positive, friendly and provided superior service. She communicated well every step of the way and set the right expectations each time. She brought several samples/swatches and left them with us to give us the chance and time to see how it looks during the day and at night. What impressed us the most was when we had minor issues on our dining room shades (it felt heavy when pulling down), Kaylee relayed the issue to the owner and the manufacturer's rep to figure it out. While it took some time to get it right, they were in contact with me each and every time which we greatly appreciated. And they made sure that we were happy with the final product. TBH, compared with a few vendors we used for our remodeling project, Budget Blinds was "the only one" who kept us abreast of what was going on and provided updates. The other vendors we hired, I had to track them down, and some didn't even reply to emails. They did not care because they were already paid. We spent a huge amount of time and effort, researching different cabinetry companies in order to find the right match for us. It became clear as we researched that there is a big dividing line within the cabinetry industry. Most typically there are guys who have table saws, and tape measures and they proceed to chop up wood and nail it together. However, a more recent development in the cabinetry business is what we were looking for. The most advanced companies come out, take measurements of the room and then design the cabinetry on a three dimensional computer system. This provides a way of essentially seeing what you're going to create before you even make one bit of sawdust. Once an optimized design is finalized, the wood parts are cut up and drilled by computer controlled machines, that very precisely control the dimensions of the wood parts to within only a few thousands of an inch. At that point the wood panels are simply put together with very little effort and essentially no corrective measures being needed. The result is a cabinet assembly that comes out essentially perfect. All drawers are precisely in line, everything fits pretty much perfectly. And this is how Haynes cabinetry operates. Along with Haynes, using the most advanced methods of creating cabinetry, throughout our project, they continually displayed a most proactive approach to dealing with us. At no point during the project, did we ever have to ask to have something done a second time. Everything we asked was taken care of, and taken care of with a smile. It was as if we were having friends that we've known for years come over and perform this work, they were amazing! Looking back at our home remodel, it is clear that Haynes cabinetry led the pack with regards to comparing them with the other contractors that we had involved in our project. We cannot recommend Haynes too much.
