I got new blinds. I was due to get replacement windows and they wouldn't do the installation if there were blinds on the window. Eric arranged for Johnny to come the day before and take down all my blinds, and then he came back and put them all back up. Eric kept me updated the whole time. Consummate professionals. Nice to know that there are still people like that. read more

I found EJ's on Yelp after having a negative experience with another company that had the most positive reviews on Yelp. Eric (the owner) is a no nonsense guy. He did a great job in explaining different choices for different areas in the house and took into consideration my dog who jumps at the patio sliding door. When he was done I pretty much had my mind made up on vinyl blinds on the kitchen window and patio door. With shutters in the rest of the rooms. He came back to take measurements and explain different choices on the shutters. There were a few things that I had to ponder about and Eric gave me his opinions/suggestions. It took about four months for the shutters to be ready (made overseas). I thought it was a long time but it seems to be the norm these days. I could have paid an extra $300 to have it done in a month but decided I wasn't in a hurry. The installers Johnny and Luis were super efficient and very nice. They did a great job with installation. They couldn't install the shutters on one of windows and told me Eric would be in touch. First thing the next morning I received an email from Eric apologizing saying he had made an error and he would have the shutters redone. He paid to have the shutters done in the shorter time (four weeks). Johnny and Luis came back yesterday and installed the last shutter. It took them 15 minutes. The first company I dealt with left me with more questions than answers when their rep finished his pitch. Eric on the other hand did such a good job in explaining everything I had very few questions. The shutters and blinds look great. Highly recommend. read more

We had all of our home's windows replaced. Which meant we had to also replace the plantation shutters in our 4 bedrooms and Dining area. Eric's and his team came in and have done a fantastic job at a fair price. It really is the finishing touch to our home upgrades. The shutter's are well-made and installed correctly and most importantly cleanly. The motorized shades in the master bath area really added the extra finish to the job read more

I tortured myself for months trying to select shades online for several windows in my home. But I couldn't pull the trigger without being able to see the materials and talk to an expert. I finally called EJ Home Improvements for an estimate. Eric came out within days with samples and lots of helpful guidance. The pricing was reasonable and most importantly, I trusted his years of experience and the good reviews I had read of the company. Installation was fast and the shades look great! I would definitely recommend EJ's for quality, reasonably priced window treatments. read more

This is my second time working with Eric and Johnny on our second home. Since shutters and roller shades quality we have on the first home still look like new after 8 years, so why not again. The price is very reasonable and competitive to a few other quotations. The team kept me updated always with the order status, work with my schedule for installation, and answered all of our questions and concerns. Looking forward to working with you guys in the next project. read more

We had a fantastic experience working with EJ's Home Improvements! They were quick to respond to my inquiry for a ball park estimate based on some quick measurements I provided and they were able to come out a couple of days later to finalize our selection and final amount (which was super close to what I was originally quoted). Installation day was super smooth. They had excellent communication and the installers were very nice and did a quality job with the installation. We are very happy with the work and would recommend them to others. read more

Johnny and Eric installed wood shutter above my expectations in quality and on schedule. The quality is definitely much better than the wood shutter that I had another contractor to install in my previous house. I am happy to choose EJ's home improvement for the job. read more

Highly recommend if you want competitive pricing, honest feedback and quality workmanship! SO happy with how they turned out. I've been living with temporary window coverings made of paper for 6 months now and finally felt it was time to buy something more durable. We loved the light filtering appeal of the paper shades, so we looked at options online first, but I lacked the confidence in ordering the right measurements. It was too overwhelming with the number of windows I wanted, so I hopped on Yelp to help me find someone. Eric & Johnny are an absolute pleasure to work with! They won me over based on price, workmanship and transparency/honesty. They were upfront about their products/process, explained the importance of visual appeal on which side the cords should hang based on window placement and maintained a high standard of workmanship. The first appointment was an in-home consultation. I met with Johnny to walk him through our home and identified the windows that needed measurement. While he measured the windows, I looked at all shade swatches and narrowed it down to two options of white, light filtering shades. Before committing to the quote, we wanted to add three more windows to the estimate. Eric made his way over this time to get those measured and drafted up the quote with the final swatch I picked. I put down my 10% deposit that day. Eric informed me that they will reach out in 4-6 weeks when the shades are ready to be installed. Since they build everything offsite, installation takes about 1-2 hours, so it won't take up too much time. In total, I had 20 windows covered with a white valence that matched our window trims. Seven of those are motorized on a 5-channel remote. The battery life on the Somfy motorized shades can last up to 6 months to 1 year pending usage, but it comes with a charger whenever it needs a boost. I LOVE how everything turned out and highly recommend to whoever needs window treatments. read more

Wow! Amazing service and such a reasonable price! I was referred to Eric by a friend, I called, he responded right away! Within the week he had Johnny come out to look at what I wanted. He brought out all of his samples, and he helped me decide on the final color of roller shades. He took the measurements , I have 3 big sliders where the sun beats in to the room. That afternoon I got a quote, which was amazing. I was told it typically takes 6-8 weeks. Within 2 weeks Eric called and said they came in and when could we schedule installation? Yesterday Johnny was back with a helper and no kidding within 20 minutes it was all installed! Johnny spent 5 minutes training me on how the remote worked, and they were off! I can not tell you how thrilled I am! I should have done this years ago!! read more

Fantastic service and quality window coverings. When I contacted Eric for an estimate, he was able to come within the week. He was on-time, friendly and professional. Excellent company, very reasonably priced, would highly recommend them to anyone looking to install new window and patio coverings. We have used this company twice now. Can't say enough about the quality of their shutters. Eric is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He explains all options available. I'm a perfectionist, and this company impressed me, which is not easy to do. EJ's is dialed in! They clearly have been in the shutter and blinds business a long time and worked like a well-oiled machine. I got 3 bids from 3 different companies all with really good reviews. I liked all 3, but I went with EJ's because I liked that they were a family business that had the same employees for many years. That was a good sign to me. I'm glad that I chose them, because they worked so efficiently and were really responsive with communication. I knew what to expect every step of the way. And the finished result of my shutters is perfect! I have not found a single flaw! They know what they are doing! TLDR: I really appreciated that EJ's was so well-organized, efficient, responsive and excellent at what they do. read more

I highly recommend this company for installing our window shutters (whole house). Eric is the owner and there's no other salesman invloved which is perfect. He really sells his product on his own and explained in full detail the differences of the types of shutters. Straight to the point. He was the first one to show me the different products he sells not only the exterior part of shutters but the interior part as well. The price is also reasonable compared to other companies that I talked to. He only asked for a very minimal amount for deposit and the rest of the payment was after the shutters were installed. My house looks elegant with shutters and the quality was excellent. The installer did a really great job. Fast and efficient. Left the area clean. Also, the warranty comes with the labor which is a plus. The only downside was it took a while for the shutters to be delivered since I chose it to be ordered overseas. But Eric already mentioned it to me so its not a surprise and I agreed with it so not a problem at all. read more

Eric had an open line of communication with me the entire time. Johnny did measurements, suggestions/guidance when choosing the window treatment for my home and subsequent installation. He was direct, informative, and knowledgable. I had gotten two other quotes from other companies and both had one price on immediate ordering and another if I waited which honestly turned me off. Eric had given me a single price for the items I chose (that beat the other two) and advised the only thing that would change if I ordered later was item would be delivered later. Shutters and blinds arrived as discussed, and were installed beautifully. They definitely helped put the final touches to our new home. Would recommend this team with no reservations to friends and acquaintances seeking window treatments. read more

I went with this team because of multiple highly rated reviews. The service provided, far exceeded my expectations. From the initial meeting, to the final installation process, Eric was very knowledgeable, professional, and organized from start to finish. I was very pleased with the quality of shutters and shades. I want to share a quick note on my experience with EJ's home improvements. Eric came to our house 2x. He was patient, we spent 1 hour to each appt. There is so much to choose from and its a real education on how blinds work, from texture, look, feel, etc. Eric answered all of our wife's questions. The value was great as well. If you are looking for new roller blinds, don't look any further. There is a reason they have over 150+ reviews. read more

I highly recommend this company. For starters, their quote was about 10% lower than another company's for the same exact product. Eric was super knowledgeable, honest and helpful. The whole process was very straight forward and easy. The installation was quick and they left no mess behind. Eric followed up a couple of weeks later to make sure that we were completely satisfied with the product and installation. I mentioned that one of the blinds was not opening quite as easy, and even though I did not complain, he send someone out to fix the problem, to make sure that I was truly 100% happy. The jam was fixed and I am 100% happy. Great service, great reliability, great workmanship, great customer service! read more

Our experience with Eric and his installation team (Johnny and Mike) was amazing. Eric was very responsive and professional. My husband and I are first-time shutters-buyer but Eric explained everything so clearly and was extremely patient with us. He also gave very sound suggestions without making us feel any pressure to choose certain styles, materials, etc.; most of all, their price/quality (we just had our shutters installed) is simply impeccable. Though we had to wait a few months for our shutters to arrive, they arrived on time and were definitely worth the wait. On the day of installation, Johnny and Mike were not only efficient (very fast!) and friendly but also were able to keep everything extremely clean. Johnny took the time to address some of our concerns and clarified how things work (i.e. cleaning, opening/closing, etc.). We are so glad to have found EJ's team and would definitely go with them again in the future! read more

Eric and team did a fantastic job on our motorized shades. Great quality and had exactly what I was looking for (Square, modern, metal valance). When I asked other vendors for this they simply said I only had the rounded fabric option. I just ordered waterfall woven woods for my master bedroom and I look forward to seeing how they turn out! I had another vendor consult for my bedroom project and she up-sold every step of the way and had added confusing charges for things like install or included different prices for various liners and mounting heights. Eric's process is transparent and crystal clear. read more

Having remodeled, restored and upgraded about 95% of our house, it was time for window treatments. After getting about 6 quotes from some of the top rated business's in Orange County (so we were told) when it comes to window treatments, the decision for us was easy....EJ's was tops for both my wife and myself. Eric (owner) from the start was excellent, he was prompt, knowledgeable, and super friendly. EJ's was the final company we called on for quote. Halfway through him being in our home talking about our options etc. one thing that stood out (especially for my wife), was his honesty when answering questions that she had, as well as giving his reasoning for why this was his opinion. It seemed like the other companies that came by would give what they pretty much assumed is what we wanted to hear. When we asked Eric about certain things, he would reply along the lines of "that's probably not the best thing for this room, and here is why" and once explaining it, it made perfect sense. He gave reasons we didn't even think about, and some of the reasons we would have been disappointed once the job was done. This let us know that he not only has product knowledge, he has an eye and experience on what works for how our place is set up or decorated already. He didn't just tell us what we wanted to hear. We ordered light filtering roller shades for the kitchen, dinning room and living room slider. Then for all the rooms we order shutters. I believe it took like 6 weeks or so, which was perfect because we removed some window casings to better accommodate the shutters. Once all the window treatments arrived, we set up an appointment for installation. On installation day his lead installer showed up (sadly I can't remember his name) but he was super friendly, polite and trustworthy. He has been with Eric for years which says a lot for both of them. The blinds and shutters came out far greater than we ever expected. We were blown away at how awesome everything came out. The install took about half a day or so for 11 windows. We are so happy with everything. The quality was exceptional, the price was very competitive, and the service was stellar. I highly recommend EJ's for any of your window treatment needs. 100% completely satisfied! read more
