However, they don't always stick to agreed pickup times. Digital Cleaners is currently my favorite laundromat - everywhere else in the neighborhood hiked their prices to obscene levels after COVID-19. Wash-and-fold here is still reasonable, as is the cost for dry cleaning. They've also been super helpful at replacing missing buttons at no extra cost! Their biggest limitation are in terms of time: closed Sundays, closed after 6PM, and their tailor is only there on certain days and only during business hours. All of that is ultimately pretty inconvenient (I know that most laundromats operate on a similar schedule, but that doesn't mean that we have to be happy with it). read more

I have been using this cleaners since pre-covid and I am honestly so happy they were able to get through it and stay open. Other places have hiked up their prices but not this place. Service is friendly and always satisfied with how my clothes turn out. I had this really bad stain on my jacket from a soup and when I say it was bad it was really bad (red soup on a pale yellow jacket). I was so happy when I received the jacket back in the original color with no stain to be found. Also regular laundry is great too, no scent and nicely folded. One of the last things you want to do is laundry on your vacation. Granted, there was a laundry facility where we were staying, but then you have to buy the soap and whatever else you need. I once left earphones in my pant pocket in wash and fold and though I didn't notice it until it was already in the wash, she had people test the earphones one they were out and sent me an update on the status of them. I've never been so angry with a dry cleaner in my life! 1) they are overpriced - 4 small items for $66 bucks, more than i've ever paid for those same items anywhere else. They charged me for 1 dress as a 2 piece because it had a cotton inner layer even though it is technically connected 2) Rude - I asked if they had any discounts for first time customers and the guy barked back "no we don't do discounts period". All the folks at the front desk were really rude, i was shocked, it's a damn service business and you do well based on good customer service 3) Results are sub-par - I pointed out several stains and all of them were there when i got the clothing back. BEWARE! Never have alterations done here. I brought in a new pair of curtains to be hemmed and I got them back with one curtain panel 3 inches shorter than the other. Hidden within Digital Cleaners typically NYC dry cleaning store front is the best tailor I've found in NYC. This guy trumps Hong Kong Tailor Jack and is WAY more affordable. He is fast, smart, knows what is best for you (like that time I tried to make the dress just below my ass, he talked me down 2 inches and saved me from total over exposure). He is a genius. He's made wide legs, slim; he's made maxi dresses, mini; he's totally transformed a men's blazer into a size 4 (woman) and made it totally chic and fabulous. I LOVE HIM. While in Germany on business, I managed to get an enormous amount of food stain on my Brooks Brothers suit. Worried that the delicate suit would be ruined for good, I decided to google/yelp for a specialist in the city. "Digital Cleaners" came up on top of the list. So I took my suit there one morning. The owner, a very nice Korean man, looked at it and said the stained part might shrink because the suit was made of pure wool -- it had never occurred to me that a suit could be made otherwise. I had no other choice but to give it try. I just picked up the suit yesterday. It was spot clean: No traces of stain could be found. I didn't notice any shrinkage. So they did a great job. Ok, I've been using Digital now for almost 2 years. Have more info to report. (Please see previous post.) My circumstances are: a) I'm a working professional that often works long hours, so I value quality and hassle-free service. I strongly dislike chasing up a service provider, and wasting time in general. b) I'm a bit OCD. c) I live in the area. d) I live in a doorman building, so I drop my laundry bag off with them, my doorman calls Digital for me, and Digital picks it up and drops it back off. VERY convenient and hassle-free. 1. Wash n' fold. Pretty good service and price comparable to the cleaners in the area. The service is usually very fast, and I've often received my clothes back same day. As for my folding comments I made in an earlier post, they've since made the changes I (and others?) wanted. They are now folding clothes in a regular vertical rectangular way (like they fold clothes in a store.) And they match up your socks for you too. (I prefer the socks rolled too, but I think others worry it stretches the elastic.) I will definitely continue to send my wash n' fold laundry here, and the service has been very smooth recently. 2. Shirts. My shirts are all custom made, and have extra thick buttons that tend to get crushed/cracked by a standard shirt press. As a result, I've had to ask for "hand pressed" shirts. Last year, they were sometime lazy about it and just regular press anyways (I realized this when shirts came back w/ broken buttons again), but they're better with it now after a bit of complaining. And hand pressing avoids the pressed in wrinkles I often got along the back seam or the shoulder seams. The total cost for cleaning w/ hand pressing is 4.75 a shirt, a significant premium I wouldn't pay for if not for the button issue. But the shirts service has been very smooth recently as well. 3. Lost items. Ok, this is a mixed bag. I've had incidents of lost items. Once was an ENTIRE closet of shirts last year. (An order about about 10 shirts.) They simply couldn't find it, and kept asking me if I was REALLY SURE I had given them the shirts. Yes. I was. They ended up finding it about 3 weeks later and sent it back,, but charged me for the cleaning! Was not happy about that. So I called back and they gave me a discount on my next order. So I call this a mixed bag because it sucks when you need to go through this. But the positive is that because they do most of their cleaning onsite, it's unlikely your clothes will be lost forever. (Unless they delivered them to someone dishonest rather than simply losing track of them.) I think I have received all my items back at some point. Anyways, bottomline is that despite a few hiccups, they provide great service and listen to their customers. I continue to send my clothes there, and they're very profession and polite. I'm very satisfied w/ the laundry service, and feel ok with the shirt service. Good luck with this, and hope this helps you w/ your decision. read more

This used to be a great place but recent changes to the front counter staff have led me to find a different dry cleaner. When I recently picked up a small batch of seasonal dry cleaning, I found an extra charge applied to my order. Digital Cleaners decided to take a button off a pair of my pants, put new non-matching buttons on the pants, and charge me for the privilege. When I argued that this alteration was neither desired nor expected, the new woman at the counter offered to remove the buttons instead - leaving me with unwearable pants. I ate the charge, but I decided not to patronize this place again. Additionally, the attitude of the woman at the counter - seemingly sure that their messing up my pants would be something I'd applaud and pay extra for, left a really bad taste in my mouth and guided me to write this negative review. What a shame. The tailor was decent and competent, and the dry cleaning work I'd had done here for years before was always pretty good. But I'm not coming back here again, and cautioning others against patronizing them. read more

Dropped off laundry to be washed and folded. An older Asian gentleman helped me. He was so kind, patient and sweet. For 12 lbs it came out to $17. Which I thought was a bit on the pricey side. Anyway, they said it would be ready later than day. I ended up coming back the next day to pick up and instead it's a middle eastern guy helping me. To the lady at the counter, you might have been working here for a while and know your business inside and out, but that doesn't mean *I* am going to know everything about *your* business the first time I walk in the door. So don't act so impatient and rude when I ask basic questions about your pickup/drop-off times, how delivery works, or your prices! In fact she was so curt and unhelpful with her responses that I realized the drop-off times didn't work for my schedule at all *after* I already put a credit card on file and paid. I have used Digital Cleaners several times and have always been very happy with the results. Recently, I brought a white delicate shirt to Digital after I managed to get a heavy sauce all over my sleeves and the front of my shirt while eating Indian food, and they managed to get all of the stains out. The gentleman that works at the counter is always very nice. However, they are a bit expensive, but definitely worth it if you have delicates or items that you value. read more

I used to come to digital cleaners all the time until I moved. Now I'm back in the neighborhood and it's not as great as I recall. I brought in a silk tank top with a small mark near the collar. They used to stick these stickers on to note stains to clean those parts more thoroughly. I guess they stopped that. I got my shirt back and it was still stained. It didn't look at all cleaner, just less wrinkled. It's fine if the stain is permanent, it'd be nice if they said something about it (we tried to get this out but sorry). Also, I guess they stopped taking AmEx. Overpriced, bad job cleaning, and no AmEx means no thanks :( read more

One star too many on this review, wish I could give zero. Took a work dress in to get the hem let out. Should have been very easy they didn't even have to measure me. I dry cleaned it ONE TIME and the entire hem came out at the bottom, they did such a crap job. I took it back in, they blamed the hem coming out on the drycleaning and wouldn't fix it unless they charged me in full again. Unbelievable. The worst customer service I have ever had at a drycleaner. And the worst alterations. Everything that is drycleaned has a hem, how is that an excuse?! read more

I would give a zero star if there was an option. The women with fake eye color (weird color contact lens) who is running the place is so rude. Her attitude alone deserves a shutdown of this place. She demanded for cash upfront for a service that she didn't even complete and when I came to pick up, half of my laundry clothes were damaged (to which of course she refused a refund). It looks like her terrible attitude has been mentioned here by many other reviewers so I won't go further on that. This place completely lacks business ethics and their price is a rip off too. I used to go here simply for the convenience factor, as it's a couple of blocks from my apartment, but never again. The work itself is good, no complaints there. But I'm frustrated by the constant attempts to upsell services and the occasional hostile attitude of the guy who waits the front desk have really put me off - ive usually had a rough enough day at work that I shouldn't have to put up with attitude from the cleaners - on multiple occasions he's told me to throw things out that have light stains on them...ridiculous! Do yourself a favor and go to London Bright on 33rd, they do pickup and delivery to many buildings in this area anyway and are polite and competent. read more

This place is amazing. My wife and I were on a three week snowboarding trip and had a crazy amount of dirty laundry. We showed up around 10am and dropped off 20lbs of misc clothes and just picked everything up perfectly folded at 5:15pm same day for $26. This was at least three loads of laundry so we are talking numerous hours of our lives saved. I just wish we had a similar service in Austin. read more

Brought in a white tie because there was a very noticeable crease in it. They informed me that they'd have to steam clean it first due to some really minor stains (fine, I'll tolerate the upsell). The next day, I swing by and the tie is clean, but the crease is still there! They offered to redo it, but I needed it that night. And $6.25 to dry clean a tie? No thanks! read more
