We went a couple of weeks ago for a birthday party. Birthday Party - We weren't the host but I saw how things were set up. There are 2x party rooms and we were in the smaller one. Staff was very helpful with the set up from what I saw. They helped set the tables, put up decorations, and when the time came they were even helping to serve the pizzas to the kids. The room even allowed for a face painter which was great. Play area - The kids had a great time, there was so many things to do for them. One of the coolest things was the excavator which they had 2 at Dig It and everyone was very respectful in that no one tried to stay on it for too long. The staff would go around to everything and spray it down with some kind of sanitizer which was nice to see when you got kids running around everywhere and touching everything. Good indoor play area with slides, some interesting construction themed activities located in Del Amo mall. Toddler and a 4th grader had a blast. The recommended age range 3-10 makes sense. The hamster wheel type of thing could get dangerous as it may not stop when you want especially if there are multiple kids so you might want to stay close. There is a nice area with tables and chairs in the middle so parents get to rest. Entrance is close to Outback. Parking is best if you park near PFChang but we walked from Nordstrom parking lot and enjoyed shopping on the way back. Definitely take advantage of toddler hours early in the morning if you have younger kids. 4 star only because it was a bit hard to predict if hamster wheels were watched by the staff or not. It is better for any parent to take a close look at the kids even if it is a closed area and only people with tickets enter. One kids admission ticket will also give one free spot for an adult. read more

This is a great place to take kiddos that are 2-6ish. Lots of things for them to play with, build, ride, slide and climb on. Also, plenty of places for adults to sit down and relax and still have visibility of their little ones. This place really seems like they're all about safety and cleanliness. All kiddos are required to wear grip socks. (If you don't have any, they can be purchased there for $3). It is a no shoe facility, so the adults are required to walk around in their socks as well. Plenty of hand sanitizer stations all around. The play area is enclosed and the entrance/exit is controlled by an employee. They check wristbands to make sure that children are leaving with the same adult(s) that they came with. All of the staff were very friendly. We were there for a birthday party, and it was really like a well-oiled machine. Wristband colors match the color of the party room. They make announcements when it's time to eat and do cake so people know when to go to the room. They also announce when that party's playtime is over (Your shift has ended! haha) Would definitely come back for another party or for free play. read more

We've been to Dig It 8 times since our first visit less than a month ago, so I guess I have enough "data" to give it a rating. It's not that big nor exciting that I would go multiple times a week - but who cares what the parent thinks, the kid wakes up and says "DIG IT!!" My 4 yr old boy wants to go here everyday that we use it like a reward for good behavior and so far, he is just as excited to go here as the first time. From parent perspective, it's a temperature controlled indoor playground, where going in and out is restricted. In other words, it's like a park that you can go when it's too cold or too hot outdoors, and don't have to worry the kid will run off to the street. They match your entry bracelet with the kid's at exit to make sure you only take what's yours. The ticketing is pretty smart - for $18, it's one kid and one adult. It helps to make you feel like you aren't paying a separate ticket for adult. And then you can add on extra kids and adults. It's 2 hours per visit, which is enforced by color of your entry bracelet. It keeps the crowd level controlled. We ended up giving into a subscription/membership, once we realized our son wanted to come back so often. The membership may be a startup phase thing to establish baseline recurring revenue so I suggest inquiring at the front desk about current offers. (Btw, last time I checked, they did not have a phone number. GET A PHONE NUMBER PLS. I went there to ask about membership because I couldn't find a phone number, and it was shut down to public for private event. My sister and niece were on their way to Dig it, and I told her to turn around and go home. I was thankfully by myself but if I had come with my son and had to disappoint him, I would not be able to give Dig it 5 stars.) As far as play area, you can see almost everything from the center. There are chairs and little tables for parents to station themselves. I'm in touch with about a dozen friends and families who go here at different times and most kids 2-6 absolutely love it. None of us had any real injuries so far, though we have had a lot of bumping or falling while running, which is normal for us. There are a few things I do wonder about the long term safety of - like there's these holes where kids can stick their arms out to pick out foam bricks from a bag hanging on ropes. If the kid holds on the ropes and doesn't understand you have to let it go, their arms get forced out against the glass when someone pulls down those ropes. I've seen 2 kids have this issue, one of them my niece. Weekday nights tend to be sparsely populated. Weekends tend to hit near capacity at certain times, seems to ebb down during lunch and dinner hours when everyone goes to eat. The staffing is increased for the popular times. My kid is shy but has often found new little friends to run around with, and sometimes seems to make friends with some of the nice staff (Terrance, Sam, Chris, Mia and more), which I appreciate. I've had all good experiences with the staff, they are friendly, energetic, and focused. I do wonder about their shoes policy - so it's no shoes/socks on for all kids and parents. Yet all the staff seems to be wearing street shoes. I'd love to see them in some kind of indoor/uniform shoes or socks, because I think it confuses some parents to think they can wear shoes too. Parking is free at Del Amo mall. Yelp is mapping it a little off, which made me wander all over the first time. Easiest if you park in the open lot in front of Mitsuwa market, then walk through the ally way near CF Chang towards Outback. It is on the ground level, outdoor section of the mall. read more

Love the service. My kids enjoys going here A LOT! Not overly crowded every time we go. We usually go there on Fridays or Saturdays and it's not chaotic. As for cleanliness, it's decent. Never saw them actually wiping the play area for safety reasons I believe (to avoid slipping) but I did see them wiping the dining area. For pricing... it's not too bad. Mid range i would say. Sibling gets a discount so if you got 2 kids, it works out. Might consider celebrating my eldest's birthday here. Not final yet, but yea... that's how much he loves spending time over there. Lots of stuff to have the young and older kids play with. Nice plays structure with slides. Really well theme, with loading and unloading sections. Large excavators that pick up balls, lots of ride on tractors and tools. We had a great time . I really also enjoyed that all the staff was very helpful. They made it a point to help the kids either build or be safe even though the parents were there as well. Also, there was an unsafe child and his parents were doing nothing about the child. And staff did nothing even though other parents were complaining about the child to staffs. Absolutely love that someone actioned this idea into reality. Plenty to do here for all ages (probably up to 7/8). There's a couple sections to build, a smaller kid area, an area to use diggers and then the bigger enclosed play area. It's clean and well kept. My only complaint is that there are some areas that need constant attention from staff that isn't given. A big one is the brick loading and unloading. Kids would send bricks up and wouldn't necessarily get them out at the top and put them on the pully system to come back down. They go up way faster than they can come down so I think it could use some staff attention to either help kids figure it out, or just get the bricks out. It's a very popular spot. It is a little hard to keep track of your kid if they've gone up the top and are running around, so you'll just have to be okay with either always trying to find them or trust that they are okay. I appreciate that they have a seating area where you can sit and eat the food you brought. It's just the reality with kids and I'm glad they don't have rules against food. I mean, I don't think they serve any, so how could they. Every staff I encountered was very nice. This entire place is pretty well thought out, even with nursing rooms for new moms that have their toddlers to entertain now. read more

They were very understanding when my 2 year old didn't want his sticker/wrist band on him and gave us other options to use. They let the parents go anywhere the kids go as well and are understanding that some kids are scared to go alone. I've been to indoor play areas where they don't allow adults to go with the child. Such a fun place for kids and parents. I appreciate the staff that clean up the toys after the kids use them and sanitize areas when there's some downtime. Lots of places for parents to sit and relax (or nap). A dedicated eating area (bring your own food- plenty of restaurants nearby) and plenty of things for kids to do. There's 2 excavators the kids can sit and use, but today only 1 was working. Looks like a great venue to have a birthday party- plenty of parking at the mall, old navy nearby to buy replacement clothes or socks (if you forgot them), and dedicated party rooms to reserve if you want to use. We had a 2 hr reservation and the employees would announce end times 15 min prior to final call to end our "work shift." I also appreciate that the exit staff check wrist bands to see if you are taking home the correct child and not some stranger. All in all a fun place to spend some kid play time and explore! Once we got there, the place was bigger than I thought and it was very clean & spacey. They have a nice system going when it comes to having people go in at the time they reserved and let them know once it's getting near/they need to check out. You can definitely make do without the extra bucks for the merch, especially if you've brought snacks, but it's cute for the kiddos. This place is so much fun. My guy was entertained for hours. The equipment is immaculate and we love the open ended toys that kept him occupied the whole time. The climbing equipment is really well built and he loved exploring all the different areas. I would highly recommend. I also love that it's close to all the restaurants. They have a security protocol for protecting kids and families. I found out they have drop off and are open till 9pm on some nights so that my wife and I can get out for a date night. I really wanted to love this place. My son is obsessed with excavators at the moment and he's a very high energy child. I booked him an appointment on an afternoon during winter break and my husband got the session really short saying he didn't like the location. In effort to prove my husband wrong. I booked another appointment on the holiday when School was out and took my son myself. I'm sad to say I also did not care for this place. Perhaps it's because my son is a toddler who still learning how to take turns. We arrived a few minutes before the doors open for our toddler time play. We started at the excavator that digs the balls out of the ball pit. There were two of these machines and one was broken. I didn't know how to use the machine so my son actually sat on it for a couple minutes and we just played pretend. Another mom came over And told me I needed to press the button and the machine would actually start to dig the balls out if we move the controls, the same mother than proclaim to her kids that it would be their turn as soon as the machine went off. I was unaware of these procedures, and I felt quite a bit of pressure to remove my son from the machine Before he was finished playing. Of course, I end up, carrying a crying toddler off first thing in the morning. I don't know what the etiquette usually is, but this was my first instance of feeling pressured to make my child move on after calming down my child discovered the small little push cars. Actually, there was one small excavator, push car and two small tricycles that we're going around the track he loved the excavator and went around and around and around and around. He kept wanting to stay on this car and didn't really want to get off once again a different mother Comes and slides next to me to tell me that when my son is done, her son would like to play. More pressure to make my child move before he was ready and this time I did not succumb to the pressure. At the same time I'm not really sure how the etiquette works because of my son is playing with the toy, he shouldn't force to get off because someone else wants to play with it. Or am I supposed to make him get off and then have to deal with more big feelings because he was still playing with a certain toy. As a newer parent, I didn't enjoy all of the passive, aggressive pressure that was being placed on me when parents would speak loudly to their children, reminding them that the boy is almost done, and their turn will come soon. This location did not have enough activities for kids to really get the energy out in a physical way. I think it's better suited for kids 3 1/2 to 5 years old because they have a better sense of taking turns and exploring all that is offered there. In terms of being physical , you can climb in the cement mixer, right around a one of the three small vehicles or climb through the little apparatus area. I must say the apparatus area was extremely small. There was not a whole lot of places for the kids to climb. There were a lot of blind spots where it was. Hard to keep an eye on your child which I'm normally not too concerned about, but this instance it was really alarming because adults are allowed to climb in the apparatus. Like I mentioned already, the apparatus is very small and things to do and it's very small with the space to climb around. I would say that a lot of parents did not want to climb in the apparatus, but there were still quite a few who did. I actually found the mix of adults and kids to be somewhat of a safety concern, because I cannot adequately supervise my child while they are in this play apparatus. My child only discovered this apparatus towards the end of our play. So, to sum up, I felt like there were too many items were only one kid could play at a time and therefore you had to form a line if you wanted to play. There were not enough activities were multiple kids could enjoy at the same time. I love the concept, but the execution just wasn't there for me . read more
