One thing that I loved was that even though I came to get my splash shield replace they still did a car diagnostic check which was very thoughtful they even send you a text of the diagnostic and before and after of the maintenance work so you know you aren't getting scammed. Took our Corolla to Alex Auto repair who was recommended by a friend so we thought we can Trust him…read morewe asked our friend since we don't know of any shops in Modesto area, Alex gave us this story that he only uses Toyota products and said just alternator can be up to $500 dollars among other parts like replacing coil packs he said was included, he called us two days later saying he test drove and car was ready it was pouring rain, we picked up car it didn't even make it few miles before it was overheating and died out on freeway in fast lane we called him and told him we're on side road didn't offer any help we had to pay for a tow truck to take it back, after tow truck arrives to his shop is when he claims it was the Alternator which we just had a complete check on car from Toyota dealer he again lied and said it was alternator that caused the breakdown again saying he uses only Toyota parts we left car there he called next day said car was ready but needs a transmission now, car ran perfect before taking it to him no shaking even with blown head gasket, we actually believed him was another lye after we picked up car paid him no problem I had my daughter drive it she was not happy with the work, we took it to a certified shop and they took a look and said Hey these are not Toyota parts !!! He said he only used Toyota witnessed by 3 people his word we ran the numbers on the labels none of the parts were Toyota they were from local auto store but charged full price for them charging my daughter $650 for junk parts we called him and told him he tipped us off!! A friend of ours went to get our money that he returned knowing he did us wrong without a fight he paid us back if we didn't look under hood or if it was another person who didn't know better he would have got over Big-time this guy is a Crook... .now car still Not running right he no longer answers our calls he never replaced coil packs like he said with installation of engine and car runs Horrible!! After calling numerous times I showed up in person and he denied ever saying anything about replacing parts 100% lied in my face and closed his shop door this is a Warning for anyone using this place he is not a honest man and now her car runs Horrible after over 4k spent this man has no pride in his work and does not stand behind his work just like another review says he will not pick up calls once he's paid Zero stars for this lyer who tried to pull a fast one. We hope he replies to this because it's not over we will proceed with action and hope this man doesn't rip off another person he didn't want to give receipts and pointed to cash only sign because he's a crook and don't stand behind his work and he got caught by us running numbers on label of parts he installed we are going to take action and we will post the final results here win or lose ! He feels since he returned the cash he ripped us off with and now thinks that it's ok to not repair the car right and just closed door to his shop and will not pick up his calls my daughter saved money for long time just to get ripped off by a shady shop that we cold busted him he's denying he ever said anything a complete lie to our face now we are here with car running horrible and were told not to repair until this will be settled . No up selling, no nonsense, very honest. I would have normally taken my vehicle to my dealership, but I've lost all faith in the Service Dept., and the Tech in mis diagnosing causing me several hundred more dollars, as well as taking it elsewhere to find out it was just a bad battery and not the starter which the dealer missed and charged me for a new starter. Gateway, diagnosed and fix the issue in 4 hours. I highly recommend them. While not a big fancy facility, these gentlemen are honest, and fair. Excellent work!!!!

Today when my car died outside of the library I called the shop and Ryan assured me that if I towed it over they would take care of it so I did.
