This spot is alright for a banh mi. It wouldn't be my first recommendation, but it also wouldn't be my last! The portion size is good & enough for 2 people to share for the price of $12. We got the Classic & I did enjoy the meat & pate. The pickled veggies were a good balance. It wasn't traditional in my opinion, but if I was reallllly craving a banh mi, this would satisfy my craving!
Get the tumeric fish bun!!!!! SO GOOD and so flavorful. The egg coffee was okay. Lots of seating.
***FOOD POISON ALERT‼*** Got food poisoned by the beef bánh mì and Vietnamese iced coffee in the evening. Felt nauseous until the food finally got out of my system at about 2 am. Couldn't sleep till 4 am. On the next day, I got a lymph node from my ear to my neck; this is my immune system's response for fighting the infection. Definitely won't come back. The good service and beautiful decorations can't make up for their contaminated food. The health department needs to shut this place down!
Damn good banh mi! Great cozy cafe with unreal banh mis. Cant wait to come back and try more, we got the classic and its a cant miss. Great service with a friendly staff. Take a walk or ride down and have a great banh mi.
I was recently back in cobble Hill, and so decided to stop here for lunch again. The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful, and the gentleman who helped me last time was back in the kitchen. He remembered me, and said hello! Everybody here is great. This time, instead of a banh mi, I decided to have the beef noodle bowl. It was amazing! The beef was tender and seasoned very well, the noodles were perfectly done, and it also came with. Bean sprouts, lettuce, fresh herbs, and cucumber. It also came with an amazing. Nuoc Cham, which I love, for the dressing. I ate the entire thing, and I was stuffed! As always, the price was very reasonable. Thanks again for a great meal

Great option in Cobble Hill. People at work were raving about the banh mi here so I had to try. It was very spacious and clean. I got the classic banh mi. The bread could be toasted a bit more but no complaints on the meat and the pickled vegetables. It tasted very clean and fresh. It was not expensive about 12-13 for a good portion. Interested to come back to try the other options as well as get a drink.
Food (5/5) - Have never had pate in a banh mi outside of Vietnam. Amazing experience. Bread was perfectly toasted and didn't have the teeth-knocking characteristic of a baguette, as banh mi baguettes should be. Service + Ambiance (5/5) - Staff were friendly, split our coffee into 2 cups, service was prompt. Small shop, plenty of space, more of a counter serve rather than sit-down place. The bathroom steals the show, it's hidden in a fake shelf. Price (5/5) - Huge portion, was 2 meals for me, and paid 13 ish. Great experience. They also slice it in half and pack it well in a paper bag.
I was at this Vietnamese spot a while back being pretty close to where I live as I had passed by once on the way to the park. The person in front was friendly and there were handful of others there both before I left with my sandwich and after I left. Casual ambiance similar to that of a hipster coffee joint. While waiting, I decided to get a Egg Coffee or Cà phê trứng which was $3.75. This drink which is rather uncommon in New York is made as per the name with egg yolk and strong coffee along with sugar and condensed milk and it is served in an espresso cup. The drink has a good caffeine kick with a good amount of sweetness and creaminess. It was very tasty and I would likely have again ignoring how many calories it likely has even in it's small 4 oz cup. To eat, I got the Classic Bánh Mì/Banh Mi with pâté, pork roll, jambon (ham,) and mayo. As per every other banh mi, it comes with cilantro, cucumber, pickled carrot, and daikon and it was $11.50. I got it spicy and there were also some jalapenos on there. They also have several other selections including chicken beef tofu and a unique one called frita-te which I likely will get next time. The sandwich was reasonably sized with a lot of filling. There was some sweetness from the pickled vegetables and some richness from the meat. Nicely flavored pate in particular. They perhaps use a too much cilantro but it works for me. I wish they were a bit closer because the sandwich is a lot better and a lot more worth it than Banhmigos or the various Hanco's nearby but I don't mind walking an extra 10 minutes for a much better sandwich. Will go back probably very soon.
Really sweet spot with a delicious beef banh mi and okay classic pork banh mi. Love their unique and creamy egg coffee, a little shot of egg, vanilla, espresso, and condensed milk. Lots of quaint seating inside and a cozy way about it that's easy to work and linger in. Would come back for the delicious egg coffee and beef banh mi!
As you guys know, New York has been on and off again with hot weather, cold weather. For this cold windy day I wanted to warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and was pleasantly surprised to see that this restaurant had a mint flavored hot chocolate, which was so delicious. I highly recommend you try it with almond milk. The cashier was super kind and informative about the food they offered as well.
DELICIOUS! The chicken and the tofu banh mi were to die for. The service was quick, and the space was great for eat-in or even working remotely. I came in for a quick lunch on a Wednesday and it was fairly empty. Highly recommend!
Amazing! I had the Sunday special mushroom frittata banh mi, which was filled with carrots, cucumber, daikon radish, cilantro, jalapeno, and glass noodles. The filling is super delicious - tons of flavor, nice freshness from all the vegetables, savoriness from the mushrooms, and heartiness from the eggs. The bread is crispy on the outside and super fluffy on the inside. The egg coffee was also fantastic. I find that most egg coffee outside of Hanoi is too much coffee and too little pudding. I loved how thick it came out since it's basically just an espresso shot with the pudding. Everything came to about $20, which was totally worth it. I'll definitely be back. read more
I stopped by for a banh mi to enjoy at the pier. Since I came an hour before closing, it was take-out only and they were putting chairs away. I ordered one Classic Banh Mi ($11.50) to-go. While waiting for my order, the cashier saw my pup and offered her some treats which was nice. Then I walked 5 minutes over to Pier 6 to enjoy my sandwich. Oh boy, this was a disappointment. The bread was stale and there was minimal filling. Maybe it was near closing, but no excuse for stale bread. It was so tough to chew that I was getting a real workout from eating. There is hardly one layer of meat in the sandwich as well. Sadly, this was a letdown and I'd rather spend the train fare over to Chinatown for some legit and affordable banh mi. read more

Been going here on my lunch break for the past couple days, super cute place with very solid banh mi selection. The bathroom has a hidden doorway and the interior of the seating area is sweet and cozy. Haven't tried every sandwich yet but my favorite has been the classic, the bread is fresh and the ratios of the ingredients inside is really nice and refreshing. You can opt for siracha and jalapeño as well if you like the heat (I've gotten with and without and either way is very delicious) Staff is friendly both kitchen and front end. Check out this place if you're in the area (important note there is a review with a food poisoning claim however they use a pork pate that might not sit well with everyone's stomach and I believe that may have been the situation in that case. Food poisoning is a huge safety concern and requires a medical diagnosis to be taken seriously) read more

It was the morning before my flight and I wanted to bring something to eat cause a banh mi sounds better than airport food. My friend always drinks coffee daily so I also wanted to try their coffee here too. It was a good walk in the area to this place. I really like their menu because it's small but they clearly excel in everything offered on their menu. I ordered an iced Vietnamese coffee and bac siu for drinks and the classic banh mi. The people working are super nice! They also sell gelato and offered samples for me to try. My bac siu was very good. It felt strong though lol but Vietnamese coffee is a whole other level and I had been drinking American coffee the whole week. So I wonder how strong their regular Vietnamese coffee would be lol cause bac siu has less coffee amount. I do like Vietnamese coffee so it's not a bad thing. Their banh mi was incredible! It did have a strong smell that if you're not used to Asian food smells, you may question the smell. I literally inhaled that sandwich at JFK while waiting for my flight. I love banh mi so much that this is definitely one of my top places to get one. The proportion was excellent with good amount of meat, pickled veggies, and that pate. It was a hefty sandwich size too. They did not skimp on any ingredients. If you're in the area looking for good coffee and/or banh mi, highly recommend going to this place! You'll get friendly workers who enjoy making drinks and food! read more

My girlfriend and I happen to find this place during our stroll through Dumbo and never saw this cute little cafe before. It definitly has a very cozy feeling and atomosphere. There is also wifi here if you need to get some work done. Food: my girlfriend and I got the Viet Egg Coffee ($3.75), which was egg cream with double shots of espresso. I ordered the Classic banh mi sandwich ($11.50). First the Viet Egg Coffee was really good and perfect if I need that extra spike of caffeine in the morning. The Banh Mi sandwich was really good and the portion was massive so definitly this place had become my go to for good banh mi. Overall: I will definitly come back here for a quick snack and caffeine. The wifi is a little slow, but it gets the job done if your just doing work, but not the best to stream videos to watch. read more
Returned to sample a quick casual dinner with Bf. I ordered the Chicken bun, while Bf ordered their classic sandwich. Service was very attentive (although in full disclosure, we were also one of two tables there). We scarfed the food down as soon as it arrived. Bf declared his banh mi to be the best he's had in the area (which includes Banhmigos, which is actually pretty decent). I was definitely won over by my bun dish. Lots of fresh veggies and herbs and a nice amount of seasoned grilled chicken. There was a generous helping of frizzled shallots on top for a crunchy contrast. The sauce seemed less tart and limey than the usual, which was actually nice. We finished with their gelato, of course (espresso and vegan choc). I've been craving a decent banh mi for a while now and this place really hit the spot. I opted for the spicy original (original plus sriracha and jalapeños) which was really tasty. The spicy kick was perfectly washed down with their equally delicious Vietnamese coffee - a few of my friends decided to order one after tasting mine. Loved this place! It's a really cute cafe/restaurant with a lot to offer. They have a full coffee bar, Vietnamese food, and even house-made gelato. We came on a Friday for dinner and it was pretty quiet. I'm sure it's busy earlier in the day. There was ample seating. I loved the decoration and vibes in general. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We tried the Vietnamese egg coffee, which was different and very enjoyable. Food was really good as well - flavorful and fresh. Lastly, we tried the gelato. I don't usually go for fruity flavors but these were really good! And the texture was super smooth, too. I would definitely recommend checking out this place, ideally for coffee or lunch. read more

Can't say enough about this Vietnamese eatery addition to BK Heights! Definitely a plus to this neighborhood to offer something so different and add to its diversity. I love the decor, it is quaint yet modern. If you're a coffee drinker, their menu will NOT disappoint, they have a huge selection. I am a fan of their Vietnamese coffee! The right amount of strong caffeine bitterness with the right amount of light sweetness to balance it out. Their banh mi is one of the best I've had in a long time. They have a generous amount of pate on the perfectly crispy fresh hoagie bread, balances great with the pork and pickled carrots and daikon radish. I loved their noodle salad as well! The pan seared beef was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Their fresh bean sprouts and cilantro and mint tied the vermicelli noodles and the beef beautifully together...delicious! Their gelato was very fresh and not overly sweet, my kids loved it! All their portions are pretty generous. I am not a big fan of going somewhere in a bougie neighborhood and be disappointed when they bring out a dinky little serving of my order (I'm sure nobody likes that). I was pleasantly happy to see that the food portions could fill me, my husband, and my kids up! To top it all off, the staff is super nice and easy going. I saw many customers go in and out while my family was eating there and the staff engaged in conversations with everyone. They only opened less than a week ago and they have regulars already! Best Authentic Vietnamese food in the area! They just opened up and we felt super welcomed by the owner and staff. They were super friendly. The place is also beautifully decorated. We had their classic banh mi and turmeric bun. Also tried their iced coffee. They use Nguyen coffee! One of my favorites. The food was flavorful and so delicious. Just writing this is making my mouth water. They also serve gelatos in house. My favorite has got to be the vanilla strawberry. Definitely will be coming back. This is a neighborhood gem and so happy they opened. read more

I slipped into Diem Eatery after missing my bus stop. I was in the mood for a sandwich, the place looked nice, and I didn't feel like walking any further. Diem is a very nice little place with a country like feel. I ordered a Beef Sandwich and I waited. The shop was full of DOE types debating the most recent Supreme Court decisions. My sandwich arrived, and I bit in. The bread was delicious, and so was the beef. The Cilantro and the Daikon overpowered the sandwich and that made it difficult for me to enjoy. Perhaps I'm a bit old fashioned, but this was a bit too adventurous for me. Thank U next! read more
