I love that the owner was careful to make space for local goods--she even calls that white shelf with the mountain-made pickles and preserves her "pride". :-) The place is very clean and amazingly doesn't feel cramped at all despite having so much variety. I really can't think of a better-stocked or -maintained little country store. Sure, it's not a supermarket, but in the midst of a month-long blizzard or a desperate late night craving for sweets, this place'll do very well. That being said, it is closed on Sunday, which I have a case of Chick-fil-A Syndrome over: Part of me thinks, "Good for them!" and part of me is like, "Damn!" But oh well! The store-formerly-known-as-Weber's up the road is open on Sundays, so you could always go there if you can't get down the mountain on the Lord's Day. ;-) Thank you to the owner for opening such a lovingly kept shop in our neighborhood!
