Very nice and professional. Also have a nice selection of guns and other things. I use them for my FFL and have had no problems at all.

The stock is very carefully thought out, such that pretty much everything you might need in a pinch is here. They've got an impressively large variety of food items on just a few shelves, plus live bait and propane gas tanks, as well as a reasonable selection of alcoholic beverages, tobacco items, and most impressive of all: wine, flowers, gift items, and even local foodstuffs like cakes and preserves and pickles and honey made right here on the mountain. I love that the owner was careful to make space for local goods--she even calls that white shelf with the mountain-made pickles and preserves her "pride". :-) The place is very clean and amazingly doesn't feel cramped at all despite having so much variety. I really can't think of a better-stocked or -maintained little country store. Sure, it's not a supermarket, but in the midst of a month-long blizzard or a desperate late night craving for sweets, this place'll do very well. That being said, it is closed on Sunday, which I have a case of Chick-fil-A Syndrome over: Part of me thinks, "Good for them!" and part of me is like, "Damn!" But oh well! The store-formerly-known-as-Weber's up the road is open on Sundays, so you could always go there if you can't get down the mountain on the Lord's Day. ;-) Thank you to the owner for opening such a lovingly kept shop in our neighborhood! It's because of places like yours that the mountain keeps getting better! :-)

Great souvenirs beautiful tshirts for women, men, and children. They also have snacks and ice cream. Great selection of everything you may need. I will definitely miss this welcoming place. Everything in the store is a reasonable price. They do have high end hiking items as well as affordable items. Shoes, shirts, jackets, rain jackets, ponchos, hammocks, socks, hiking food, caps, boonie hats with nets to keep insects away,

I wasn't really sure what to expect from this store but I was pleasantly surprised with all of the goodies inside. The store is packed but well organized. There is even a small grocery section that backpackers may appreciate. I spent most of my time looking at ice cream treats, t-shirts and sunglasses but I also checked out some other stuff like camo stove fuel, sleeping bags, dehydrated meals, bike repair tools, stickers and water bottles. Apparently the owner of this store use to have various storefronts offering outdoor gear, bikes, etc. but now I think they just have this general store. They no longer sell bikes but they have contact information for a mobile bike repair guy that is apparently awesome. This store is no more than several hundred yards from the Appalachian Trail and probably about a 1/2 mile from the C&O Canal Towpath.
