We did the pedal and paddle trip. Eddie and the guys did a great job. We rode the bikes up the river they met us at the boat ramp and gave us kayaks so we could paddle back down to Shepherdstown.

Great friendly service! We're excited about our paddle and pedal trip.

My doting husband asked what I wanted to do during our Memorial Day weekend of relaxation here. It was a rough workweek so he did some research and presented me w the options. I def wanted some outdoor activity of biking, kayaking and/or hiking. He found a cool combo of biking and hiking 3-4 hour tour here and when called to inquire, was impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of Eddie. We came the next day and were treated with the same friendliness and professionalism despite the fact that there were a ton of people crammed into little shop, there because of the unexpectedly beautiful weather. We were immediately suited up w bikes and they obliged our need for putting a small pack on one to bring our phone as we didn't bring a backpack. The tour was awesome. We biked about 5 miles on the gorgeous C&O canal and ended in Snyders landing where we had delicious ice cream at Barron's. After a call to the shop, Eddie came to drop off our kayaks and helped get us into the river so we could paddle our way back to Shepherdstown. The bike trail was gorgeous...lovely tree canopy to keep us cool and dry. The river was also gorgeous--calm and peaceful with a little current to help us along. It was a very restful and well planned journey. After we got off at the boat ramp Eddie came to pick us up and bring us back to town. Eddie himself is a hoot--full of cheer and great stories. He motivated us to consider working up to riding long stretches of the canal. He's really fit so it's easy for him to say as he does the whole 300 mile stretch from DC to Pittsburgh over the course of a few days. May take us a bit to work up to that :) but Eddie gave us a breakdown of what gear we would need to build up to that from padded shorts to dry wicking tshirts to clip on shoes. Great experience and highly recommended!

End of the day on the Potomac river ....

Great shop for renting a bike for a ride on the C&O Canal towpath. We really appreciated the level of service.

Recently went to Trek to have my daughter's bike repaired and looked at and had a great experience…read more Dave, in the service department, was great working with my daughter to troubleshoot her bike and get us back on the road again!

I can't even remember how I came across this shop, but so glad I did!…read more I originally messaged them (somehow...) on Google and they were quick to respond. I assumed it was chain-related, so they offered a free estimate and roughly $21 for the issue. Since it was a holiday week and I had access to a transport vehicle, I spontaneously headed out to the shop. I worked with Ben, who by the way was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He put the bike up and immediately found the issue. Typical procedure would be to order the parts ( if they don't have it in shop) and they keep the bike until it arrives and complete the install. However in this case Ben was able to offer a workaround so I can leave with the bike that day itself. I couldn't say no. I would say the whole process took roughly 30 to 40, minutes which included the explanation and the installation. There is a small waiting area, and I think they offer free water and coffee. But of course I had to stand there and watch him because I'm always curious! He definitely went above and beyond checked everything else to make sure it looked good. It was only $16 for the installation fee. I would highly recommend this shop for any repairs. Trek offers their own bikes available for purchase. They are a little pricey, but definitely reliable bikes for serious cyclist enthusiasts...one day, but not quite there yet. Parking was a bit tough, considering the time of day. But there is a parking garage available if parallel parking isn't available. They do have an automatic door, and if they see you with the bike can automatically open the single door for easy entrance.
