They're also well-stocked with live bait, including blood worms--an excellent choice for surf fishing. We also purchased my wife's Okuma Hawaiian Custom surf fishing rod paired with a fully lined Okuma SI 4000 reel from them, and that setup has been instrumental in her success. I scheduled online to complete the ppwk to pick up a firearm for Wednesday, April 29th @ 9:00am. I know that getting there early on the weekdays is the key to not having to wait in line. I got there about 9:02am. I told the gentleman, a middle-aged Latino man with a gray beard and mustache, at the gun counter that I had a 9:00am appointment. He told me that he wasn't ready and was still setting up and to join the queue by registering at the kiosk. I registered at the kiosk and got a text from Bass Pro at 9:35am that my 9:00am appointment had been cancelled. Now, I was number five in the queue and it was now 10:45am. I had to leave for another appointment. I was not a happy camper. Driving to my next appointment, I called for a manager. I told Marcos the situation and he would get back to me to investigate what transpired. He called and left a message. His message relayed that I didn't get there until 9:16am and that there were several customers ahead of me so my appointment could not be accepted. That was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard; someone was trying to cover their @ss or @asses. This will be my last purchase at Bass Pro stores and I will shop from an independent store where they take accountability and take care of their customers.

A few notes after reading the reviews. 1) Jim is really the peak of bowmen....an archer's archer. I've gone hunting with others that have previously hunted with Jim. They told me that Jim took an Alaskan bear at 105 yards with a single arrow. When I confronted him with this, he said, "naw, it was only 100 yards"...... 2) He's been the paid factory rep - the face of the factory - for at least one bow manufacturer. Not an honor lightly achieved. 3) His whole family shoots at the expert level. Some will be there for training events. 4) Jim as a million stories and will give selflessly in showing you, your friends, your class, your league how to shoot. However, he does not suffer fools lightly and if you come in with the "customer's always right" or some other attitude, he will feel no need to help you any longer. Conversely, he is great with kids and clumsies. If you've ever noodled the idea of trying out a bow (I hate using long bows, but compound bows are great fun without pulling yourself apart), I highly recommend that you go visit and ask to try out a rental bow for an hour. Very inexpensive. If you don't get hooked, there's always chess or scrap-booking...... Jim - it was a privilege to shoot my first real bow there. My daughter is your biggest fan. I'll be back soon.
