Brooks running shoes
Vanessa S.

Have been here a handful of times and this recent time we were looking for some exercise bands. I happen to have found some useful back massagers and also got to play in the putting green area. They definitely have a wide array of things but they are mostly on the pricier side. It looked like they were doing a re-model inside hence the aisle of shoes on display or unless they were just trying to sell those fast. The shoes in aisles were not marked down and were all very pricey from $100 and up so I'm thinking it's because they're moving things around in the store. Overall, this store was clean and open, had a lot of things to look at. One thing that was lacking was customer service. When we came in, there was an associate who looked right at us but was more busy scanning the shoes then to greet the customers. In fact, in the whole time we were there was minimal associates walking around to help/greet. This has been the experience I've had here. But if you go to a Big 5, you get asked if you need help finding anything. Perhaps, this store was just a little short-staffed that day or it's just too large of a store to have customer service. The place was not busy at all, no lines, or a cluster of customers.

The parking lot at this store is not safe, be careful! Best not to shop with them! camera is rubbish

Broken Strap for relatively new bag. Refused to return or exchange.

It makes sense that Dicks has 2 stars currently. I purchased a bag for about $80 I want to say and it broke at about 5 months and when I came in the girl asked me for a receipt. I don't keep a receipt for eveything so that's dumb, but anyways she says there is nothing she can do. So all I can say is don't go to Dicks. Just go to Rei, Walmart, Amazon. Go anywhere else BUT Dicks. And on top of everything the girl wasn't that pleasant. UPDATE: Spoken with the manager Alec. He was pretty cool and agreed to exchange the bag. I gave 4/5 stars because of Dick's bad return policy.

An identical ball Alex wouldn't sell to me because he couldn't find the SKU and said it was not for individual sale

Staff is mostly friendly, however, it is clear that management barely trains their staff. Most don't seem to know where merchandise can be located, if they have something, and rather than trying or asking another staff member, it's kind of a "why don't you go look" type attitude. We went to purchase a couple small balls with my young toddler. We grabbed one out of a 3.99 bin. When we went to pay, the cashier couldn't figure out how to ring it up. She finally called the manager over, Alex, who couldn't figure it out either. They spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to look it up, when we finally said it was in the 3.99 bin, just go look. With an attitude, Alex replies "where's that?" Really? You don't know where in your store that is? By the enormous wall of sports balls? He left, and we waited and waited. 10 minutes goes by, he comes back, and says he couldn't find any like it so he couldn't sell it to us because he didn't have a SKU. There was about 100 balls in the 3.99 bin, you couldn't scan a similar one? Are you kidding me? You're not going to sell me merchandise in your store because you can't find any others? He made up some excuse that it was originally part of a set. Ridiculous. The whole stupid process took over 15 minutes, with an antsy toddler at the checkout. We went back two days later to get something else, and were curious if we could find the "set" he was talking about. Low and behold, we found another ball exactly the same, with a SKU, sold individually, in the 3.99 bin! So thanks Alex, not only for your lack of knowledge of your store, but your poor customer service.

Igloo cooler

Joseph helped my family and I pick out a cooler for our big camping trip coming up. He showed us a few different ones and gave us tips of how to insulate them better. Customer service was awesome. Definitely recommend to go see him for all your camping needs.

It made me excited to rent from this business. My booking was for 4th of July and even before I booked I did speak with them about booking and they gave me their advice. Day of, I called to let them know I'd be running a little late past my booking time, I spoke with Jamie and she said thank you for the heads up, we'll see you soon." I arrive for her to tell me that all state parks are full and she blocks bookings off after 11, knowing that I booked for 11:30. I do understand that it's a holiday and a weekend, so state parks being at full capacity is out of her hands. What I do not appreciate was her tone and attitude with us versus other customers, her not giving us a heads up knowing we were running late, and she still gave people more of the options of getting their rentals and where they can try versus what felt like she was simply dismissing us. May try to come again, but for a 2 hour drive and to receive customer service like that in person versus whoever I previously spoke to on the phone- to be determined.

It's been one of those days, so sorry I don't have any pictures to share. The backstory is my…read morehusband has been dealing with Planter Facetious and has gotten some inserts at REI back in December and that got us through 4 grueling days of Disneyworld. Since then he's had flair ups now and then, but nothing compared to this weekend. We walked 8 miles over 2 days in South Lake Tahoe and he was feeling it. Last week he was having a conversation with is coworker who is a runner until she got planter factious. That got talking to him talking about his foot issues to. His coworker suggested we get some of these really tacky shoes that looks like crocs living on a billow. According to her they are supposed to be helpful and at the same time you wouldn't want to be caught dead in them. In their ad they were referred to as recovery shoes. With his cowered suggestion he was finally open to exploring the new shoe option. Previously I tried to turn him to getting some new shoes at REI but, he thought the inserts were good enough so I let the subject drop. I did some research on the shoes his coworker suggested and read mixed reviews on Reddit and other sites. He's in so much pain that we're willing to try anything. Sadly, they don't sell this brand at REI so I talked him into going to REI and giving something they have in stock a try. When I had Planter Facetious my girlfriend turned me to HOKAs. Those weren't an instant cure, but they got me on my way. So, I suggested he give them a try for a daily shoes and another shoe aka a house shoe. From what I have been told you shouldn't go barefoot when you have Planter Facetious. When we got to REI we started our search for a house shoe, the ones his coworkers suggested looked more like an house shoe than a real daily shoe. When I was searching for reviews on the shoes his coworker suggested I got a lead on OOFOS. They were recommended by one of the reviewers that didn't find the other shoes helpful. OOFOS are located in the shoes section on racks near the rubber Birkenstocks. They had lots of OOFOS. Both slide and thong options. He tried both on and went with OOriginal Sandals, the thong styles they were more comfortable. Next for the hard part. Searching for a daily shoe. He tried on many models. Two different styles of HOKAs and Brooks. After walking around the store for around an hour he settled on the Brooks. They are dark grew with a muted red swish on it. Very stylish in it's own way. He just bought a pair of dress shoes that look fabulous and he's sad to not be able to wear them now. Too bad as I really like them. Hopefully after he recovers he'll be able to wear them again. I've been going on a few years now using my HOKAs as my main shoe. I trade off on Sundays to go to church and wear a pretty dress shoes and I recently got a pair of saddles from the geriatric shoe store that are cute and comfy. For my house shoe I use my Birkenstocks. The classic style with the fluff. While he was shopping for shoes I went coat shopping. I wanted a white coat that was fashionable and functional. I found some really cute ones, but they were more fashion then functional. I finally settled on a white rain coat that will be perfect for our trip to Seattle. It's short but not too short that my purse sticks out. I think it's going to be a good additional to my wardrobe and gives me an option to my red raincoat that I got a few years back at REI. Now we're hoping we made the right decisions and all he'll have happy feet. I really hope his feet heal before our trip to AZ where we'll be doing a lot of walking as we explore Horseshoe bend and Antelope Canyon.

He stayed calm, explained exactly how the membership would save me money on the repair, and he was completely right. What struck me was that he kept trying to help me even though I was being uncool because I assumed it was just some scam to get me to sign up for something I didn't need. He also charged me only for the work my bike actually needed instead of a full tune-up, which saved me even more. I hadn't ridden the bike in five years, none of the gears worked, and when I got it back it was flawless. He's a great mechanic and a genuinely cool guy. I even stood around talking with him for about 10 minutes after dropping the bike off. Highly recommended. I'm glad I now know who to call if my bike ever has a heart attack..
